So this will be released on Tuesday, Oct 28th in North American I'm assuming as our release date here for CD's are always on Tuesdays??

 

Makes sense now why Celine moved her Today show appearance to "October"

Thanks for the release date info ! I really hope that the "unreleased tracks" included won't be "If I ruled the World", "Here there and everywhere" and this kind of songs we already know but true never-heard songs like "I belive in you -full english version" and "Isabella", ... Let's cross fingers !

You're right on the re-releases at least. She has no idea of the re-releases at all.

I doubt Céline would delve into all of that.... especially these days. She does her *job* (sing), go home and plays mom, surely ocassionally she sees things or hear stuff from René, but she doesn't care one bit and she shouldn't..lol

Its something to add to our collections....

I do though personally think (hope), that during Celine's break next year that we may get a second ''Collectors Edition'' ( not that anything has been said or confirmed, I must stress! ), just like during her last break in 2000, with an amazing tracklist, including, some excellent rare tracks/bonus tracks....

Even for my collection if the tracklisting sucks I won't buy it. It must a greatest hits like "All The Way" with a lot of new tracks and not like "Collectors Edition" cos this one sucked big time

It's a strange timing it seems.... Why not release a Best Of album when Celine takes a break? She will still be on the Taking Chances tour when this album is released!

 

You think Sony would release one more single in North America at least before another greatest hits album. I'm happy but at the same time it's a tragedy that only two singles were released from Taking Chances in North America. People won't hear Fade Away or Shadow of Love and won't even know how great these songs are!!!

 

Oh well... just another miscalculation from Sony's part! They just want more money for their 4th Quarter it seems....

I totally don't agree she should care! why record and release albums if you don't care anymore? She can do her concerts, no problem, cos the tracklist is 75% old songs anyway... so why record an album if you don't support it anymore after the first single?! she's bothered enough to make a commercial for Sensational, but she doesn't bother to lip EOM at the same time and make a damn clip for the single?! you know the whole 'I record my album, make a video for the first single, but then let it die a slow death' attitude bugs me more then the whole playback issue!

yeah I agree... release SOL, SS, FA, CFTF or IGNL as a single with a proper video! promote 'the album everybody is talking about'... yeah everybody except céline, rené or sony! I hope this Best of is worth it, but the should have released a collectors volume 2 in 2009, when céline takes a break again!

You'd think that by now we'd see this release popping up on music sites and music stores. We saw ATW way in advance, and I remember seeing "The Collectors Series" on a list of Upcoming releases WAY before, about 3-4 months in advance.

 

I'm still guessing we'll see a variation of COMPLETE BEST.

 

ATW remains one of my least-played Celine albums, too. I think I break out "Chante Noël" more.

 

And let' face it, "My Love" is a hit among fans. Like "I Surrender", it's not going to draw the casual listener to the compilation.

hmm oke! yeah I guess I would go crazy to, if I knew every release, but you know knowing that an album is being rereleased is important for a singer I would think! well I don't care that much about chart positions, I care about the fact that TC is a great wonderful album, her best in years and it's a pitty that the bigger audience doesn't get to know it!

 

I am sure céline is still motivated, but that movitation and dedication isn't very clear anymore
