hey, can you find the date of this by her clothes?

 

 

Based on her hairstyle and a picture I have in my collection as well as that she's singing with Tina Arena, a Australian singer, this much have been recorded around July 13, 1995 in Sydney. On that day she received the "Lalique Crystal Award" by Sony - but the clothes she was wearing by that occasion were Chanel too, but different.

 

I'll post you next the one picture where she's laying on a couch and she's wearing the same outfit like in the Tina Arena Video.

 

And additional a picture of the Sony Award.

Both were taken on/around July 13, 1995 in Sydney, Australia. Although there was never an exact date mentioned at the "couch"-picture, only: "July 1995".

 

Both outfits are Chanel. Only one I've found so far (a while ago). Hopefully I also find that other suit too - for now I can only say it was neither on the Runway 1994 nor 1995.

Yes! She was an absolute Chanel-Freak by that time! Makes is THEORETICALLY easy to find pieces. At least at Vintage platforms.

The 1960s “mod” throwback was a major fashion trend in the mid-90s, and I really do like how demure she looks in these designs. Even if they did prematurely age her in the public’s eye, it suits her svelte physique.

I have to confess that it was only after Frida awoke my interest in couture that I started to like Céline's outfits of the 90ies - and the designs of Mr. Lagerfeld/Chanel. I share your opinion that they prematurely aged her - maybe she wanted to abbreviate the age difference with René, shortly after their wedding. But when I look at her outfits now, I really love them. She more and more developed that deep sense of fashion. And sometimes it looks as if she bought the whole collections of Chanel!

Well, that's for sure that Chanel (as well as all other big Couture houses) opened the gates for her whenever she wanted! She left enormous much money there! I guess it was in her biography where she mentioned that Chanel gave her the star earrings she wore with the legendary Oscar outfit of 1997 as a gift for being a "frequent shopper"! By the time I've read it I thought by myself: She left there millions of dollars, and they only gave her earrings as a Thank You?! But I guess - over the years - Chanel must have given her much more than just earrings - even they were diamonds and gold!

YES! Several times, not only in March 1998, when she attended the RTW-Collection Fall 1998 in Paris. I guess mainly when they did something custom made for her or custom modified the "great Karl" surely came to check!

Edit: Ah, I just saw that you also attached the video of the Chanel show they did for Mr. Trump in 1996. Must have been quite something for her also presenting on the Runway!

OK, that's more fantasy than reality because without having a better picture it's not very trustworthy to verify them. But - gosh - I can't help it even though try to find the sneakers she was also wearing high on Eiffel Tower before she changed to the Christian Dior Pumps and vice versa!

 

What is 100 percent sure: The sneakers are of Adidas! Presumably of the "Ultra Boost" collection. What do you think of my finding? Or do you like to try finding other possibilities? But I warn you: You won't believe how many Adidas sneakers are out there!!!

Yes! For sure! I don't think she was wearing different ones when she stepped down from the roof! Unfortunately the video where she's seen wearing the sneakers right after the performance is even more bad quality (Yet it was so great to see it and I am so thankful to whoever made it). There you can only see she's wearing sneakers.

And of course it all depends on more or less good pictures. Unfortunately not everything is "HQ" material. But sometimes a good screencap can also reveal something!

Yes. This dress was found. But not by me. If I remember correctly it was found by Frida - must to be found somewhere among the many pages of this thread. The only thing I found was the resp. collection while I was updating and reorganizing my files some years ago. But finding the collection is not that hard when you have a runway picture. The harder part is finding the designer! I'll post the picture right after this.
