drove all night Posted July 31, 2024 at 05:41 PM Posted July 31, 2024 at 05:41 PM Ahah come on at least display it with the actual white sneakers fit YEAHHHHH! That's the EXACT thought I had when I watched it closer!!!And I have to say, for that, that it's exhibited in the museum of one of the No. 1 Haute Couture Houses of this planet - the curators did a very bad choice with the shoes they chose to THIS dress. It should be exhibited the way she wore it, floor length! Quote
Critiaslux Posted July 31, 2024 at 06:06 PM Posted July 31, 2024 at 06:06 PM "THE" robe is already exhibited in: La Galerie Dior11, rue François 1erParis 8e+33 1 82 20 22 00https://www.galeriedior.com/en Thanks for sending me the picture, dear "Lu CelineFan". It was taken by Katelyn Hutchinson, sports journalist. PS: The Haute Couture masterpiece which was worn by Lady Gaga can be seen there too - of course besides the great story of "La Maison Dior" So for once she did not buy it. Too bad we cannot find it in her warehouse for the next doc 😆 1 Quote

You can see it in the pics of her trying the dress on. On the pictures I have of the fitting there are no black/anthracite shoes to be seen with that dress. On that little video of the fitting she's wearing kind of beige/light-lavender shoes, with might be ankle boots (very hard to say) but definitively different to those of the museum.Do you have a picture with the "museum"-shoes?Honestly I can't imagine Dior pairing such ugly black shoes with such a masterpiece of Haute Couture embroidery. drove all night Posted July 31, 2024 at 06:44 PM Posted July 31, 2024 at 06:44 PM (edited) @Céline RO Here are the shoes she was wearing at the fitting, as just mentioned: You can clearly see they are different to those very ugly ones they chose in the museum. In the back there are also some white ones waiting. Edited July 31, 2024 at 07:34 PM by drove all night Quote

To be honest, the lighting in the fitting pics isn’t great so can’t really tell what shade they are. You’re probably right though and they’re different. 1 Quote The best is yet to come...

drove all night Posted August 1, 2024 at 11:07 AM Posted August 1, 2024 at 11:07 AM (edited) Today I have for you the outfit of the afternoon of July 23, 2024, were she beamed in true Parisian chic. Although I've checked "1.000" white Dior shirts, also with wing-collars - but, unfortunately I wasn't successful to find it. Only the shadow of the trademark Dior bee, to verify that the was wearing a Dior shirt. @ the fashion search tiny details are very often very important. That's a thing I've learned from Frida, the inventor of "The CelinishCloset", to whom I owe my love for fashion-search. So to give you a little example. At the first glance the shirt, Céline was wearing, might be the same like the one she was wearing at her arrival. But with the help of good quality pictures one can see tiny alternation in the collar, as the edge on one collar is more round than the one the wore at her Paris arrival. Also the wings of the collar are bigger and cut in a different way. Funny detail aside: When she came out of hotel she was wearing thin white tights - but at the pictures which were taken in front of Louvre the tights were gone! drove all night Posted August 2, 2024 at 06:33 AM Posted August 2, 2024 at 06:33 AM (edited) With the first, very blurry picture of Céline that I've discovered on July 24 I thought that she was wearing the outfit which she chose for the "Hauser"-concert in June. But very soon with other pictures and videos it became clear it wasn't the same. But it was again Christian Dior. So first thing I always do is to check the Runway-pictures of the last seasons, as Céline mostly wears pieces of recent seasons. So it was not that long to find a similar looking outfit. With better pictures were details of her look can be seen more clearly it was then very easy to verify. I really love that outfit of her, which she chose for the visit of France's First Lady @ her hotel and then the fitting @Dior afterwards. She looks so totally "Parisian Chic" and so totally the classy Dior-Look! How did you like the look of that day? And PS: If you like my postings, I am always happy if you hit the "Like"-Button! drove all night Posted August 2, 2024 at 01:35 PM Posted August 2, 2024 at 01:35 PM In answer to the question of #delta I am not totally sure that the name of them is really "Karung Crystal Bow", as they are vintage and on sales platforms not always the original names are used. But they are by defintively made by Maestro René Caovilla, an Italian designer who's coming from a shoemaker family. Collaborated with Dior, Chanel and Valentino. A shoelover like Céline of course wore other pieces of his designs too. 1 Quote

drove all night Posted August 2, 2024 at 03:25 PM Posted August 2, 2024 at 03:25 PM (edited) 3-minutes-report of today's "Today" with a "look inside of Dior", where you can also see Céline's robe exhibited in "La Galerie Dior". Unfortunately the moderator interrupts Olivier Flaviano, Head of "La Galerie", as he wanted to explain what happened right after the performance with the dress. Would be quite interesting to know how they dried this piece, which is full of very sensitive material. Anyway: In case one likes to get a glimpse into this iconic Haute Couture house and how the iconic pieces that wrote fashion history are stored: Definitively worth watching. Thanks to celine_dion_faces for drawing my attention to it! In case someone of you reads something about the process of drying that piece and getting it into "La Galerie", I would be grateful for a link! Thanks! Also, sorry, I'd "like" your posts a million times as they're so well made and insightful… but I'm on my phone and I can't rn Oh, thank you for this lovely compliment! Makes me very happy, as it's quite some work to put together the postings. Apart from the partly "endless" searches to find the correct pieces or to verify. In majority it's not very easy like in the moment, where Céline and RC are wearing a lot of Christian Dior. The file with the name "Maybe someday I'll find it" is still quite filled. But that's OK. Not everything needs to be found! Some pieces will stay a miracle. But - stay tuned. I've some very cool findings in store ... Edited August 2, 2024 at 07:55 PM by drove all night Quote
