Today I have something for you that always touches my heart. And although I don't know (and certainly it's none of my business) - but somehow I believe that RC wears René's LV-necklace. Indeed it has a long history. Here are the times I've discovered it:

I do have a file named "Someday-maybe-I-will-find-it", where I put items, which I hope to find one day. From time to time I try my luck again. And sometimes - like today - suddenly something appears, while I'm searching something completely different! I wasn't sure in the first place, but after researching more, I am 100 % sure I found ... well, what did I find? I'm gonna make a little riddle for you: What haveI found today, with the help of this picture?

I give you a hint: It's 20 years ago Céline wore it.

It's not an easy riddle, but I'm curious if someone will solve it!

No ... it's not the black top. I'll post the solution of the riddle in the upcoming days. Like to wait if someone else also likes to give it a try.

Before I solve the riddle and continue with most recently worn pieces I have something from Céline's past.

If you are a fashion-searcher, somehow your antennas are unconsciously always set to receive. So when on a long boring afternoon a friend and me where surfing around the web trying to find some idols of our youth, we searched about Cristina Cascardo. She was a model in the 80s and 90s and my friend was a big fan of her way back then. When suddenly an ad popped up with her wearing a jacket with a striking application on the back - and in the first place I wasn't sure if that might by a trace to a jacket Céline wore in the early 90ies. As soon as I got home my first thing was to dive into my archive and search for that picture which I had before my inner eye: And - BAM! - it not only turned out to be a trace but a match!

So - you never know where you find things. And sometimes you even find them while you weren't looking for them!

Here comes the solution to my riddle of August 7, #11160.

 

While looking for something totally different I thought by myself by checking the shoes of that Runway picture: Well, THOSE shoes, they look very similar to those Céline wore on one of the numerous historic days of her career: That January 6th in 2004 when she received her star on the famous "Walk Of Fame" in Los Angeles. Not much of her outfit of that day had been found, and since her shoes where so exceptional I always tried to find them every now and then since I've started my love for Celinish fashion in 2008! And as already mentioned before: They revealed their designer totally unexpected!

 

So: Here they are. Unfortunately made of real alligator skin. But - hell! - they look so cool and suit her perfectly!

Recently found something from the past, had been searching for it since August 2019! - A piece by the young crazy contemporary Japanese-brand AMBUSH (they debuted in 2015). Unfortunately no other pictures of Céline in Montreal leaked as she was preparing the promotion for the "Courage" album with Faycal Hajji, who posted that picture in August 2019. So it can't be said if the wore the whole piece - or only the upper part of the "Nobo Waist Tie Shirt". But I am pretty sure she wore it the way it was designed.

 

It was not the only time she wore something of AMBUSH.

Hey you - out there - somewhere!

I have to confess that it doesn't feel good putting together content for this (once beloved) thread - but I ask myself why hardly no-one's hitting the "Like"-Button? I see that some people seem to just download my pictures, I see the increase of views - but mainly if there is so much work connected with a posting, it would be nice if there's also at least a "Like" to be found at the postings. I'm aware that in our digital era there are so many app's and platforms out there which need to be checked every day. "Liking" seems to get more and more uncommon. Still: It's a sign to show to someone who takes time to put together something for others that it's appreciated. So, if you like me to continue, please show me that you care. I've got quite a lot of great findings to share with you.

 

For today here's something of 2007 that was very difficult to find. And it's always a joy for a fashion-searcher to discover something like that!

The white hoodie and the grey pants are unfortunately impossible to find without further recognizable details.

Today I dive way back in Céline's career to 1999. An outfit which I thought I would NEVER EVER find. But then, one day, dear Annie Horth opened up her own archive and not only posted a so far unknown Polaroid of the photo session with André Rau in 1999, but also mentioned the designer. The search for the pieces she wore was a bit tricky as too many years had meanwhile passed - but then - through an YSL-ad I found the correct collection.

 

Céline look so beautiful and elegant and it was a great choice of Annie and her!

 

And "of course" I always try to find out more about the photo location. In that case it was easy as it was taken in Céline's and René's first Florida home. As it was put on market by the third owner in 2020 a lot of pictures from the interior where published on the page of the real estate agent and it was funny to see, that the Chaiselongue where "historic pictures" were taken was still there!

Oh, that makes me happy that you like my posting!!! Thank you for taking the time to answer and post also the picture I "forgot" - did you mean because of the purpose they used it? I was never sure if that was an official release of sheet music. Do you know more about it?

 

Haha - and yes, that would have been something buying that Chaise Lounge for yourself! - And there were some other things the new owner left as it had been. Maybe I'll put it together for an upcoming posting.

With great pleasure! YESSS! There are pictures of René on the mantel - I even had them. But a HUGE computer crash some years ago destroyed a lot of my data which couldn't be restored again. Among it was 70 per cent of my then HUGE collection of Céline pictures! And among those also these pictures of René. Unfortunately I couldn't find them again. But - maybe, one day ... who knows ...
