lyn Posted July 17, 2024 at 11:23 PM Posted July 17, 2024 at 11:23 PM Honesty I really love this though if it were in my home, it would be in a more beachy, boho vibe with beached wood & slats and lots of green plants like banana leaves and palms. Like her epic shiny pjs maybe! 1 Quote Philadelphia, PA, Sept 5 2008.New York, NY, Sept 16 2008, Madison-Freaking-Square Garden.

didiana Posted July 21, 2024 at 02:09 PM Posted July 21, 2024 at 02:09 PM Found this little segment from Fashion Television with Céline & Jeanne. (Side note, I had a weird encounter with Jeanne which almost made me not want to share this, but it’s still a good clip and I’d rather share it in the spirit of positivity! 😀) I've never seen that before. She was so young. Quote

Popular Post drove all night Posted July 27, 2024 at 03:20 PM Popular Post Posted July 27, 2024 at 03:20 PM (edited) The robe Céline wore for the iconic performance @ the opening of the Olympic Games 2024 was custom made Haute Couture, designed by the chief designer of Christian Dior, Maria Grazia Chiuri. It's made of pristine silk georgette and embroidered with thousands of pearls, piercing sparkles and decadent sequins, including around of 500 meters of pearl/beads fringing. Over 1.000 hours were needed to create it. On that one picture, you can see her with Mathilde Favier, the PR manager of Dior, after the last fitting, and I assume, those two dresses in the back were also prepared for that event. This was a HUGE promotion deal for the Haute Couture house done with the Olympic Comitee, as Dior made all the outfits for the headliners of the ceremony. Underneath of the gown I assume Céline wore supporting pants or suit (similar to that one which could have been seen in "I AM Celine Dion") and a pair of sneakers, as she was performing on a moist floor, in the rain and on the roof of platform 1, which has no railing. Her make-up was done by the niece of Charlotte Tilbury, Sofia. They use products of Charlotte Tilbury, a make-up designer who worked very often with Céline (for ex. can she be seen in the "Making of" the legendary first Alix Malka photoshoot of May 2012). The designer of the jewels I haven't found yet. But of course she wore that thin diamond ring, which I assume is her symbol of love for René (and I am sure, he was there with her yesterday, around of 60 m above the ground of Paris, which he opened up to her in 1982). All information I have taken from official sources (Dior, Vogue, Tilbury). If you like me to post some of the other things she was wearing while she was in Paris, just let me know. I really would love to - but there is too less recall to my re-opening of the CelinishCloset. and there is a LOT of work necessary to prepare postings. This makes only sense it the recall would have been bigger. I'll wait for some days and will then decide. Quote

Thank you very much for your interest.Well, to answer your question: If you know where to research sometimes pictures are very easy to find. Since I'm interesting in fashion since Frida opened this thread up here I meanwhile have a certain knowledge about fashion. And since Céline mostly wore Dior recently it makes sense to start searches @ Dior's platforms. I don't understand which "New York" look you mean in relation with the black dress @ the Dior fitting (if you like, please post a picture of the outfit you meant). I more interpret her choice for that look as a bow in front of one of the most legendary French Haute Couture houses. But more about that outfit in one of my upcoming postings here, as I've decided today to revitalize this thread. Quote

A detailed explanation of “The New Look” by Dior, which marked a shift in fashion transitioning from post-WWII into the 1950s. I thought "Critislux" meant our CELINE!!! And YESSS! Of course! It's an interpretation of the historic Dior. Maria Grazia Chiuri (their chief designer since 2016) is very keen to always keep an eye to those legendary designs which made fashion history since the founding of the label. Thank you anyway for your information and the YTlink. 1 Quote

drove all night Posted July 30, 2024 at 06:05 PM Posted July 30, 2024 at 06:05 PM And here are the rings she was wearing. The thin diamond ring she's wearing since a while, can certainly be interpreted as a reminiscence of her wedding ring! Never found the designer, as it's VERY DIFFICULT to find jewels. Additionally I think that a lot of her jewels are be custom made. And additional here are the products of her olympic make-up (without the skincare), as listend by Mrs. Tilbury here:https://www.facebook.com/charlottetilbury/posts/pfbid02dSHWj8iQprHWoTCQHn2BSpDq8j2VXNxvJ24KSTYm7HAb53KFDWjADj4DGhnZGSGPl?locale=de_DE&paipv=0&eav=Afa7_CQjGew4GimeOg7JPvdP8qxJfivzcGtY4CD1GDv58O5g60wd-njyepXIRqhHzKs&_rdr Pls. forgive me the design of the pictures, but it's easier for me to do only screencaps of my collection. 4 Quote

drove all night Posted July 31, 2024 at 03:11 PM Posted July 31, 2024 at 03:11 PM (edited) Today I do have the outfit of her arrival in Paris for you! That happy day for her and for us all (when we discovered the first pictures)! For Fashion-searches like me it was quite easy (apart from a few exceptions), finding things, since the mostly wore Christian Dior - as that Haute Couture house made the outfits for all headliner artists of the opening ceremony und therefore it looks like they also supported them with Ready-To-Wear-Pieces. OR (what I can imagine) it was Céline's great way to show her respect towards a Haute Couture house she also loves since many, many years! This time Céline traveled additionally with "small" luggage, as she wore some pieces more often - which also makes searches so much easier. And I really love that!
