Chanel shopping with Karen Mulder in Monte Carlo 1996 (sorry bad quality)

Thank you very much! I do know those videos - but it could have well be that I didn't! Such a pity that they are in such bad quality. But even though I've found some of those things Céline was checking way back then. Some things are still in my file "Maybe-one-day-I'll-find-them".

But unfortunately - for now no more fashion postings of me in this thread. Although there would have been some quite great discoveries I would have loved to share. But it's just too less feedback - so it doesn't make fun anymore!

Posted

Cool find would have thought a jacket to and not a dress.

I completely understand your decision and will miss your posts. I am not much of a fashion person but your posts gave me a new appreciation for Celine's many looks.

In regards to the browser issue and signing you out one trick I found is in Google Chrome click on where it says Not Secure in page URL at the top left.

This will bring up a menu click on Site Settings at the bottom of that menu.

A new tab with Settings for the page will open scroll down find the option 'Insecure Content' and in the drop down change it to Allow.

Then close the Settings tab and reload the forum and see it that will keep you logged in.

Thank you again for your hard work bringing us these wonderful finds.

Yes! Just like me. I also thought for a long time she was wearing a jacket - until, one day, I came across the designs of that Greek designer Mary Katrantzou and I thought by myself ... well, well, could that maybe be??? And it's always great to discover something which hadn't been found before!

Thank you for understanding my decision. It was not easy for me, because I would have loved to share my findings. But without joy and without enough feedback it doesn't make fun anymore.

Thank you regarding the "Google Chrome" setting. I've set it that way but still doesn't prevent those troubles. And I've also tried different browsers too - so far didn't found something where the Forum works as smoothly as it did before. Unfortunately. And I never know what kind of "bad stuff" might be uploaded in the back of the forum. But very kind you you to describe me this setting!

I will miss your posts, respected it very much. I understand your decision!

Very kind of you, dear "ivo"! Thank you for being "one of the few"!

My dear "drove all night"... I understand and respect your decision... and I'd like to say that I've learned so many things with your posts and your responses to me... I really apreciate your work and your kindness, I will truly miss your posts!

I also feel that this forum is somehow abandoned by those who take care of it, and that's sad... since when I became a fan, this place is where I visit daily, and discovered so many things here, knew some cool fans... I do hope this can be fixed someday!

Once again. thank you so very much!

Dear 'MaiconSC', thank you so much for your kind words and for regularily taking time to "Like" or even write a comment! I was always very happy about it! And it made me happy too that I showed you some things you didn't know before!

Maybe - one day - somewhere in the future - this forum will be fixed again. Rearranged. And maybe, I'm not dead by then and the joy to share one of my passions again comes back! Until then: Take care! And: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!

Ah, OK, that might be a reason others couldn't do that too. But it's hard to say what the true reasons are. And it just doesn't feel so great posting something which needed so much time to find, and also taking the effort to create the posting with the text - and no one "likes" it, but the pictures are downloaded. I'm not that kind of girl to say, that I don't care about that!

But thank you very much, that you appreciated my content!

You really ought to make an instagram account. You could upload all the work you’ve done, and it would be liked by many hundreds or thousands of fans :)

and you can put your watermark on the pictures, that way no one would steal from you... instagram is a better place than this forum, and have a much bigger public...

please let us know when you create it!

You are sweet!

Well, I don't watermark pictures which I don't own the copyright - so that's one of the main reasons I hadn't started yet with an Insta Account - and it's still in my bones how an evil person from here stole content which was found by others and declared it as his own. Among them also pieces I've once posted here.

But if - one day - I will find a way how to do this on Insta without violating copyright and still protecting my findings, of course I will let you know!

Rifat Ozbek FUTURE OZBEK 1992

"This OZBEK FUTURE Jacket by designer Rifat Ozbek is a rare, unique and stylish piece made in Milan, Italy in 1992. The eclectic jacket has a military and steampunk look, perfect for clubwear, parties, or special events...or for wanting to go as Adam Ant for Halloween! The jacket has felt-like bars on the front with velvet and ribboned cuffs. With its original design and new wave style, this jacket is sure to make a statement and have you stand out in any crowd.

This is the prêt-à-porter version of the Rifat Ozbek runway / couture jacket Celine Dion wore. "This 1992 S/S Rifat Ozbek jacket is heavily documented: it was worn by Celine Dion on the cover of her "Twice Twice" single, featured in many editorials, walked the runway in multiple variations, and is currently held in the Victoria & Albert Museum's permanent collection in London."

THIS IS A MESSAGES TO THOMAS!

(Since all the bugs in the system of the Forum refuse me to answer him directly):

Dear Thomas,

that's a real struggle to answer your message. I'm always kicked out of the Forum and have to log me in again. Such a pity, that the Forum has got all those bugs. It would be better to be closed totally, as obviously no one like to fix the technical background.

Anyway: Thank you for the earrings. Due to the mentioned bugs I'm not updated with the CelinishCloset-Thread. I guess it was around one year ago I last TRIED to check (but this constantly being kicked out and log in doesn't really make fun). But the years before I've stored all findings and those earrings weren't found. Only I found them I guess in 2020. They are in fact of the "Selene"-Collection of "Selene"-Collection of the Dutch fashion label of Peet Dullaert. But: Great finding anyway, dear Thomas. Jewels are really hard to find and it was pure luck I found them way back then.

It's such a pity that the Forum has long left it's "glory days" - do you, as a moderator, know, why?

Posted

Glad you had found them! happy.png

I don't know the reason for the bugs unfortunately. I believe it is something to do with the security certificate and so a lot of features are broken as they are flagged as not secure. But I have noticed the server seems to be down now and then also, which seems to be a separate issue. This would need Koolan the admin to resolve, no on else can do anything. Unfortunately nearly all of the moderator functions are broken too.

That's such a pity!!! It should really be closed down - or fixed (since there's still interest to join). Was such a great place once!!!

Maybe we should move on or really try to fix this one :/

"We" can't fix the technical problem - unfortunately. Only the owners of the Forum can, those who have deep access to all this technical stuff!

Without checking every page on this thread, has there been much discussion or a deep dive of the overall look of TC world tour outfits. There was always something bold and beautiful about her during that tour, if anyone is bored it would be fun to rewatch the world tour DVD and study what I'm saying,  but after much analysing and trying to google the name of the style of her strappy shoes, and discovering strappy heels are often called gladiator style,  I thought that's it! Her overall look was basically a GLAM GLADIATOR style.( Look at a classic gladiators tunic, sandals bracelets straps etc and add  heels and some bling 😄) Very bold and strong with a georgous glam look. Quite a clever move for presenting herself again for a world tour after being stuck in Vegas. It gave a strong powerful wonder woman look, maybe it was also a nod to the fact that her theatre was a Colosseum.

Didn't Rene ask Annie Horth to come back not long before this world tour to pull the outfits together? I read somewhere Annie said what a mad last minute rush it was, bringing it all together Screenshot_20260223_014050_WhatsApp.thumb.jpg.6d7389dae327a7416d26969cae80145b.jpg

Does anyone know of any look books in print showcasing her outfits over time?

Posted

I don't think there are any published books but Celine looked through some past outfits with Vogue in 2024. Did you see that?

I'm no Frida or drove all night but I had a look through the meet and greet topic and found a few outfits I could identify. I know some of them were found back then, but a lot of the pictures don't work anymooooooooooore so I can't tell which ones people are talking about. If you've seen them, enjoy them again anyway.

The stuff on the TC tour will be the first pages in this topic, as it was current at the time. But yes those outfits are iconic, the pink Balmain dress is one of my favourite dresses Celine has ever worn. She looked so hot in it!

The silver gladiator sandals are Azzedine Alaïa.
