These ones worn by Cate Blanchett look to be the same style, Celine's look more like a cream/white version.

And what about this Alexander McQueen? I think Celine has moved a string to have 1 more over the shoulder and longer string on the arm area. It doesn't have the frills on the front buts surely it must be AM. Thoughts?

WOW, Thomas - how did you find it??? 

I have to say it's a very weird, mixed feeling - Hand over items which I've been searching for such a loooooong time to someone - and that someone finds it within minutes! Makes me feel very old (as I'm meanwhile), kind of like a dinosaur soon to be extinct since I mostly refuse using AI-stuff. But - anyway: Congratulations on your findings! However you mastered it!

And PS: YES! This is the dress! She pulled one of the other strings up on her shoulder - for a better "grip" during her performance at "Celine a tout prix" in November 2002.

I think by now there is no doubt your old-school traditional methods are just as good if not even better than modern techniques. To find thing by keywords, recognising styles and trends, fabrics and even just getting "a hunch", it can't be replicated by AI. But I do think there is a place for both, the reverse image search has been around for yeeeeeears, long before this new AI revolution took over. In fact it was made for this exact purpose, to make searching easier.

The Sergio Rossi shoes were very quick to find using Google search, that screenshot you posted was clear and the gold straps are distinctive. Same with the Alexander McQueen dress, very unique. The Armani shoes,.....not so easy! I tried many angles from your screenshot, brightened the image, only used certain parts. No results! Found a lot that were similar but no hit. Then I noticed the black strap on the shoe was mostly seen from the back, so it shows the brown backing. I thought, what if I make this all black so the AI has a clearer example, the chances are that most photographs it can find online are not showing the reverse of the strap. So I darkened the strap in Photoshop and retried. It found them straight away, worn by Cate Blanchett during Cannes Film Festival. I will try some other items from your unfound collection today!

Possibly found but I did recognise this nice Gucci top when I was searching for the green outfit from the shot of Celine and Humberto Gatica in the studio, he has this one on his website from another session.

If you look very closely at the photo of Celine and Rene, you can just about see the Chanel logo underneath the Getty Images watermark.

PIERRE CARDIN

According to a fashion topic I found where people were discussing it, it is Pierre Cardin 1988. I can't find it otherwise, but I could believe it is correct.

You are definitively a pro working with AI and photoshop - and - as we see - it's much quicker and maybe easier to find as well if you do know how to trick that AI-monster the planet's creating and feeding more and more. I only hope the people feeding and working with it won't regret one day their input, when that damn thing gets out of control and eats us alive. 🤣

Funny: Look I've found my once question to Frida from 2012 (!!) - which was now discovered from you as Alexander McQueen. 😀

And the Gucci Blouse was found before. I think by Deborah. It's Pre-Fall 2015. But you found a much better picture. I only had a very bad quality one so far. Céline was recording the beautiful "L'Hymne" (in case you don't remember no more). Always a good reason to watch the video again:

Oh, s***! Forgot to mention that I didn't look for the white sweater - I've found it already. It's from the Fall 1996-collection Céline nearly bought in whole (found quite some items in it)! In fact in that of Dec. 1996 picture I was searching for a 1:1 picture of the BELT. It's Chanel too and presumably the same collection. But there are ZILLIONS of similar belts ... so: That was the hard bit! I'm curious if you and AI will be successful ... 😁
But THANK YOU for finding a much better picture of the sweater. I only had the Runway pic.

Ah, interesting regarding the Pierre Cardin. I will deep dive with my "dinosaur-methods" if I do find more 😁 Thank you very much for finding that!

Unfortunately the dress was already found - if I remember correctly by Frida. But we only had a very poor runway picture. So your found pictures are simply TERRIFIC!!! Congrats!!!! I LOVE to watch very good pictures of the pieces she chose. Were you can see the perfection and beauty of the design! So THANK YOU VERY MUCH for posting them!!!
By the way: Céline wore that gorgeous dress more often. It really fits her perfectly!

Oh you meant the belt!  

I can only find the basic belt so far, but not with the extra big pearl sections added on the side. But we can at least see the main clasp in close detail and see all the workmanship. I put thumbnails so you can click them for the full size picture.

Yeah - that's what I found too - as mentioned. But I hoped (one day) to find the exact version Céline was wearing!
But: Thank you anyway! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Those are really good HQ pictures to completely deep dive into the construction of this belt! THANK YOU!!!

What items are needed from this ensemble, everything or only parts? I remember this photoshoot from Rosie Magazine so well, from all the way back to October 2002. Where has the time gone?! I can't believe it. Maybe the trousers are the same ones inside the magazine without the belt, if so it shows us them a bit clearer.

Thanks for asking: Well, I was looking for the (ugly 🤣) shoes, maybe the belt too. The pants were too difficult since I owned (up til your posting now) only very crapy small pictures of the Rosie-Magazine-article (so: Thank you very much, finally I can READ it! .
By any chance do you happen to own the whole magazine? Because on the contents page is a reference to the "merchandise credits" on page 184! Would make the search much easier!!!

Hi, Thomas. The Jacket's not Pierre Cardin. I'm 99 % sure it's Escada. Either custom modified - or from that Spring 1989 collection. Since AI is more and more "google-ing" it's very hard to find things with the "dinosaur-method". Most Google-results are crap. Apart from that this was in pre-internet times, so it's hard to find 80ies collections or promotion pictures online. Maybe you are more successful. For now I released the jacket out of my "Some-day-I'll-find-it"-file.

Nice, I did ID it as "possibly" Escada yesterday and I even uploaded the photos ready to post here and ask about it, but then by chance I found some people talking about it who said Pierre Cardin, and bowed down to their expertise. I thought they must have more information or catalogues etc. I guess not! I also couldn't find any Escada with long black lines between the button holes on the stomach area which made me question it, but you have found a nice example!

I don't have the Rosie magazine sadly, does anyone here have that in their collection? Please share if you do!

THIS was a very exceptional finding - although the occasion Céline was wearing those sneakers was a sad one. But those shoes really challenged me for years - until a few weeks ago. It was during a time where I had started to make my "rounds" again through some older items of my "Someday-I'll-Find-It"-file - so the memories of the things in there were fresh in my brain: I was in a streetcar in Vienna, as a young man got in and sat down right across from me. A little time later he put one of his feet on the knee of the other leg and by chance I looked at them - and GOSH! Here they were: Sneakers in who look very much like Céline's and since he was sitting there similar like her in that video/Screencap I was pretty sure that they were the same. So I had to laugh out loud, and when he looked at me a bit confused - I not only told him that I'm a "fashion-hunter-nerd" but also that I was searching the label of those shoes for so many years! He was very kind and told me that he was a student, born in the USA and the shoes were a gift from his father. - That was such a lovely incident!
The very first thing I did when I came home was researching the name of them. The guy couldn't remember the correct wording (the letters on the backside of the shoes were already quite faded) - but even with a little hint and of course knowing the label - it was suddenly not so hard to find them - and happily I could verify them as the same model Céline was wearing. 
This was - for sure - one of the very unusual analogous findings in my collection!

I was sure there were HQ photos from the Rosie magazine shoot in the gallery (unfortunately offline at the moment) but I managed to get them from the internet archive! So at least we can see the belt and shoes much more clearly.

The only shoes I can find that have the lines pattern on the back of the heels and have two X stiches on the front strap are by Nicole. But I can't find this exact version if so.

E.g. this one is similar but not quite. I can't find that striped lines design on the back of other heeled loafers but maybe its more common and you recognise it.

WOW No. 2 for finding the shoe label. It must be this! The fitting details are just too striking. Except there are only two tichted stripes on the back and the heel is different. "Nicole" 🤣 Never ever heard about this label before!!! But certainly an important clue. I try my luck too if I do find the exact ones!
