I quit searching this coat! It's Vuitton too - that much is sure. Thank you!!! - I love it too, when I find something old - now even more than in the past, since it's partly really difficult to find the resp. collections. But sometimes it's very easy, when something appears on vintage platforms!

Ha! I KNEW it was Lanvin!  So: Recognized, captured, and released from my "Someday-I-might-find-it"-file. 

PS: I assume Céline removed the chain to wear the bag like a clutch (and not only put it in the bag). Unfortunately all pictures I do have of that day are too grainy to tell that with certainity.

A real lucky find, with a search in the opposite direction: I KNEW Céline had worn it - I could picture it in my mind’s eye - but unfortunately, I couldn’t remember when or where. After flipping through what felt like 10,000 pages of my Céline compendium, I found it. Thank goodness!  Finding the right collection was easy then.

Thank you so much!!! Yes!!!! How wonderful that new items are on the horizon! And then the "race of fashion hunters" can begin.  Who will be the first to get their hands on something?! Probably those who work with AI – but I won't be distracted and I still try it the old-fashioned way I've developed using since 2008 as the dinosaur I am.

So many people will think of her today - not only because of the great news which will be presented today. 
She gave me so much since 1988 with her music, her life philosophy, her story, which she shared openly with the public. I only wish her joy and that all what's planned will go smoothly in the way she hopes it will. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CÉLINE!

I came across this Reddit thread that displayed all of Michel Robidas’ outfits of Céline designed for the Incognito era

Then come to find out, the Eurovision outfit was on display at the Canadian Museum of History that just ended in January!!! 🙃😶

When Céline was on Watch What Happens Live, I was always curious about who the designer of the gold Lamé dress was when she said “We didn’t have money, but it was made specifically for me.”  Glad to know who it is now.

Yes, it Mr. Robidas was multiple times discussed up here. Here are the extracts of my "CelinishCloset"-Collection. The songcontest outfit meanwhile has a file on it's own. Funny part is that I once contacted Mr. Robidas asking him if it was a skirt or dress underneath. He responded, that it was only a skirt. No long after that I've found a picture of Céline wearing a DRESS. But I've lost the picture through a stupid computer crash. Until this year where the kind "Unison Addict" told me about multiple times Céline wore the outfit BEFORE the song contest. And there it was: The picture I once lost!

OK, guys ... I give up for now. Checked all my guesses. Wasn't successful. A little hint from Annie might have helped. You won't believe how many lady Tuxedos are "out there", black silk shirt, brown pants, and this "damn" (SORRY) patend leather coat. Wonder if the designers of the new items will ever be detected! Maybe I'll give it a second go tomorrow. Somehow I think I saw that gorgeous coat (I only called him "damn" because he's hiding the label!  )

Maybe someone else but me is more successful!

Amazing notes! I love seeing process, cataloguing work and hearing backstory. 

Incognito was such an underrated but pivotal time in Céline’s career. It really was all about her becoming a woman in the 80s and making a statement of her identity. They were all great pieces and really helped her become memorable and stand out amongst the crowd.  I also liked how in the pre-high fashion era of artist promotion, many of these looks could be reused and still feel fresh and new with just a few styling tweaks
 

When loaning clothes from multiple designers, or having a huge budget for street and stage fashion wasn’t a thing in that era,  I’m sure having versatility to adapt the clothes to hundreds of tv shows and appearances was important in the process of building a collections.

It could be read in several older interviews or the official books: They wanted to give her a complete new look to help the audience accept her as a young woman. So it was certainly a wise decision for her to step out of the spotlight, let her teeth be fixed and search for more hip clothes. I'm pretty sure the custom made wardrobe of a prominent Canadian designer must have cost a fortune. So, no wonder she wore the clothes as often as possible. And of course it was a complete different time. Rarely people might have noticed that she wore an outfit multiple times. That's the "curse" which came with the digital and later smartphone era.

OK, that was clear I couldn't go to sleep, without trying again to find at least one of the new wardrobe pieces. So, here it is: Vaquera (new in CelinishCloset - at least based on the items which had been found so far!). The American RTW-label was founded in 2013, and is known for it's creative-crazy wit.

Alas, all that I could find was the certification of my guess. And after checking ALL  velvet/satin tux for ladies, sewn by Ralph - I have to give in. So I can only add the label and maybe think it was custom made or some secret tux that never saw the light of day until the foto session with Robin Galiegue.

Maybe someone else but me like to give it a try?? But: Be prepared: THERE ARE A LOT OF SIMILAR TUX out there from one of the tux-masters of this planet!

No, UNFORTUNATELY, checked that too (in another picture I found). The button and the bottom hem are different. Looks like Céline's got more than one button and the hem is not round.
