I think she wants to be really relaxed when recording... Yeah, that's a funny coincidence, because "5" for Chanel stands for its legendary perfume "Chanel No. 5", which was brought to market by Coco Chanel in 1921. It is said that it's the most known and sold perfume worldwide. And it was mainly Marilyn Monroe's answer to a question of a reporter, who asked her what she's wearing in bed, where she answered: "Chanel No. 5" Yes, thank you! I am always very happy discovering something. Mainly if it's something I have been searching for a very long time. And, yes, I share your opinion - I also think she wears clothes and shoes in which she really feels comfortable during recording. And I love it when she also wears a little bit crazy clothes - like during the "Courage"-recording sessions. She looked so cool and really embodied the songs she was recording. Like during the "Taking Chances" Sessions. 1 Quote
drove all night Posted September 19, 2024 at 10:47 AM Posted September 19, 2024 at 10:47 AM (edited) "Chanel"-Series, part 2 Sometimes the search does not affect the clothing, but the original image. Of course, I've been a fan of Céline long enough to be able to roughly allocate a picture based on her hair styling, but it's always better if you can at least add the correct year and month, or even the reason, to the collection.Unfortunately, one of today's pictures is still unknown. But maybe there's someone here who knows more about this? As mentioned, please only provide ACCURATE information! Thank you! Edited September 19, 2024 at 10:47 AM by drove all night 2 Quote

Very kind of you. No, I am very sorry, I can't remember where I've found it. There are "zillions" of pictures I've seen and collected since 1988 - and of course since around 2005 (that's when I guess this picture much have been taken). Either it was one of her birthdays - or an anniversary of "A new day" ... not even the cake gives a clue (damn thing ).Unfortunately I don't have it in HQ. But I post what I have right after this.Thank you for trying to help me! 1 Quote

Funnily I didn't like that outfit the first time I discovered the picture in 1996. But with my starting to find fashion pieces I more and more checked older pictures - and the more I found/detected Chanel pieces the more I liked it when she was dressed from head to toe in Chanel. It's so classic. Elegant. And it really suited her perfectly. 2 Quote

After all those years when she had to keep her love for René a secret and was then FINALLY allowed to make it public at the end of 1993 - but especially after her wedding - she radiated so much happiness and beauty that she enchanted every outfit. Her collaboration with Annie Horth also began in 1996. Before that, René usually had the last word on the outfits. - Well, that's my theory. So I stop for now with my regular content. I hope you can understand that it's too less feedback for the efforts I take - and out of nearly 21.000 views and approx. 20-30 downloads/picture since I reactivated this thread only you 14 showed appreciation or feedback. I thank you for that from the bottom of my heart! Today's last picture is just for you! Something rare which took 6 years before I found the presumed jacket, which turned out to be a dress! Of course I do ask myself if this once beloved thread is still appreciated by all who just "view" it? Or are most people not really interested in these findings, which partly needed years to be detected? Additionally this forum has changed so much to the worse. In early days it was a great place of appreciation and information. Now, look at all the people who like to become members but are still in a state of "validation" (the yellow marked member-names) since very long. No one of the admins or moderators seems to care about that and give them full access to the forum (in a state of validation you can't see pictures and you can't comment). Threads at partly polluted with AI or photo shopped fake pictures and none of the moderators takes care of that! There are a lot of technical problems too which aren't fixed anymore, for example the "search" doesn't work. I am kicked out and need sometimes days to be able to log me in again. Clicking through older threads or older pages of this thread has the same effect as well as if I like to respond to a message. - I've tried it with different browsers - everywhere the same problems. I am not much of a fashion person but your posts gave me a new appreciation for Celine's many looks. In regards to the browser issue and signing you out one trick I found is in Google Chrome click on where it says Not Secure in page URL at the top left. This will bring up a menu click on Site Settings at the bottom of that menu. A new tab with Settings for the page will open scroll down find the option 'Insecure Content' and in the drop down change it to Allow. Then close the Settings tab and reload the forum and see it that will keep you logged in. Thank you again for your hard work bringing us these wonderful finds. 1 Quote 'I am, in life and death, the woman of only one man.' Celine Dion My Story, My Dream

But it's hard to say what the true reasons are. And it just doesn't feel so great posting something which needed so much time to find, and also taking the effort to create the posting with the text - and no one "likes" it, but the pictures are downloaded. I'm not that kind of girl to say, that I don't care about that! But thank you very much, that you appreciated my content! 1 Quote
