Is it just me or its been 25 years that the sales for this album is 32 millions?

Someone who has contact to a sony member posted that the albums sales for FIY are at 46.250.000 by now ;) seems realistic to me

Celine's team / Sony needs to keep Celine's amazing legacy alive.

 

Everyone here should go click on the Celine banner on iTunes so they see that it's successful & will be encouraged to do more.

Everybody's doing virtual concerts now. I wonder why Celine's team isn't doing the same. While waiting for the Courage tour to resume, why not do mini concerts at home, she has her own studio afterall. An unplugged or acoustic concert maybe? She's repeatedly talked about wanting to do one. Now's the perfect time. She can do a virtual concert and host virtual meet and greets for VIP ticket holders. And sell merchandise there as well. That's pretty much the new norm.

 

Imagine if she'd celebrated the 25th anniversary of FIY by doing a virtual concert during which she played the entirely of the album straight through. Even (or especially) with acoustic/minimal arrangements, it could've been amazing.

 

I know not everyone has been prolific during the pandemic, but it's frustrating to be a Céline while fan seeing how many artists are finding ways to be creative and connect with fans -- Mariah's autobiography and associated vinyl/archival releases for her 30th anniversary, Shania's anniversary special editions and merch for The Woman in Me, Kylie's new album and virtual concert, Taylor releasing two new albums, a live special, and re-recording albums. There has been so much potential for Céline's team to delve into the archives but instead it's been mostly silence. They could have put together a documentary about the recording of FIY and its impact and legacy, they could be releasing unseen tour footage, photos, demos, b-sides, etc. Sigh...

They have everything in the vault to celebrate even without Celine :

 

Collector box including :

 

A photo book

The album remastered

A bonus cd with b-sides, demo, remix, live version

A bluray of the montreal show (french tour)

A bluray of the stadium show (english tour)

 

Maybe I'm biased since it's the album that made me a fan, but I think the photoshoot for FIY is so dreamy, and my favorite of her career. I would love a photo book.

I LOVE the photoshoots for this album! And there’s many pictures that never saw the light of the day!

It would be great if they released the full lyric video on YouTube. For a moment I thought they did, but apparently it's only this little clip. Why not a full lyric video though? Regardless, I'm happy Dreamin' of You gets some love.

 

I also kind of wish they stopped using the LMBTL/Courage font and use the Falling Into You font for it's celebration. But maybe that's too nit picky when we just have to be thankful for anything we get.

From 0 to "Team Celine", how lazy do you feel today?

 

Worst team ever 😡 i cant believe there is NOTHING for the hardcore fans.. its only simple stupid things for the general public again and again and again!

Lord knows I'm one of the first people here to complain about her team. However, I will say this. It's been refreshing seeing them acknowledge lesser-known songs for a change. It would have been so darn easy for them to inundate us all with posts about: "Because You Loved Me," "It's All Coming Back To Me Now," "All By Myself," "Seduces Me" and "River Deep, Mountain High." However, I have seen little to nothing posted about those songs from "Falling Into You." Instead, I've seen them concentrate on songs like the title track, "Declaration Of Love" and "Dreamin' Of You." Would I prefer to see something more "rare" from the vault to celebrate "Falling Into You?" Absolutely! However, it's so awesome seeing people discover "Declaration Of Love" and "Dreamin' Of You" for the first time because those songs are getting some love instead of the usual hits.

Good point. Im happy for the lesser known songs for the general public but as a hardcore fan, those « surprises » are pointless.

For one time, her team could have think of something for the hardcore fans. Is it too much to ask?

The thing about celebrating "Dreaming Of You" the only way they can celebrate that song is through a lyric video. She never performed it live, never did a music video.

 

I love that they are celebrating the rarer songs from the album, because they deserve attention. As much as I critique her team, with good reason, there's really no way you can make a stunning lyric video.

 

Ariana Grande's first lyric video that pops up on my Youtube is pretty basic:

I think if they are uploading the TAST performance of BYLM, it's less likely they're uploading the official video. Would love to be proven wrong.

Well, you’ll never know. They have been surprising us by uploading live performances of Céline during the 90’s. Even updating the FIY Music Video into HD. :)

It would be a surprise. We can presume that the issue with the BYLM video is the copyright or payment, because if you recall the FIY video was already uploaded on her channel in lower quality.
