"Falling Into You" album - Official Topic

Video and audio quality is great, so much better than the VHS and VCD. I wish they would upload the entire concert including the live performance of River Deep, Mountain High.

 

It will be interesting to see if they gradually upload all the performances from the concert, or only those pertaining to “Falling Into You.”

What bothers me the most isn't only that Céline or her team aren't doing anything, it's also the fact that every other artist is releasing special editions of each album that has an anniversary, like Shania did with 'The Woman In Me' last year (3 Cds, with the remastered album as well as new mixes, live songs, demos, etc, Vinyls and some other stuff). And all artists are doing the same now. Because albums don't sell anymore, but Collector's Limeted Box Sets made for fans sell very well. And it seems Céline is the only one that doesn't even care to upload a video from home saying at least 'It's the 25th anniversary, I love the album, thank you so much, bla, bla....'

It's not that difficult to care at least a little bit. But, well, I bet if she's asked to send a message to some golf club or any other stupid thing she doesn't wait a minute to do it. But not for her fans.

Possible not only the performances whicj pertaining "FIY" because at the D'eux anniversary the also uploaded the performances of Ziggy, Le blues du businessman, the power of love or Quand on n'a que l'amour

Releasing these special editions is Sony's job. They need to get their act together after all the money that they have earned with Celine!

oh yes, I would love to know why decided to keep this version unreleased. (Maybe it was considered boring and not much was going on apart from her playing and singing?) Yet, I think it would be great to combine this footage with some other good scenes. It just takes a good creative director. I wish they would release all these goodies now (it's been 25 years already, and nobody will care if this version is lame. it should be a gift for the fans).

 

You know, If I was at a live event where fans can ask directly questions in front of Celine, like when she announced her Courage world tour, i would ask her about why this video was unreleased, and why EUS was unreleased, and what they think of the idea to make a grand collectors box and include all these previously unrelased footage for the fans to enjoy and make a drip down memory lane of being her fan. I think that Celine and her team should be confronted with questions like these to at least concider an option of such a release.

It's not part of her job...I'm not even sure she knows these are unreleased !

I like the FIY-photoshoot scenes and the brown background (classic Celine), but why did they put LAP concert scenes in there ??? That ruins the video-concept. The Christmas version with the couple is cute.

In Germany they played the official video. But for the UK they made the Christmas version and in the US and other countries they showed the Live version.

I think the same thing. We were already saturated with Live a Paris videos from their recording of that show. We should see a different look. They shot a different music video for it, but they never used it. Sound familiar?

 

 

Maybe they thought she wasn't good enough at faking the piano playing that they had her do in the alternate music video. Lol.

 

I think it would've been cool if they had Celine sit in various seats of the empty stadium, and do like a lagging/ghost/trailing effect likey they did with this music video 2:58 onwards..

I’m guessing they blew the budget on FIY and IACBTMN (one of the most expensive videos ever filmed, if I’m not mistaken).

This wasn’t even the version shown on VH1 in the US. A live performance was the “official video” here. And if I recall correctly, it was in black and white.

See.... Céline -unfortunately- has a poor history with her music videos. So the situation with the EUS and LD videos isn't really that surprising/special/new.

yeah, but the thing is that these videos were actually shot. They exist, whereas the others were put together from some other footage because they didn’t have the time to film specific videos. So it’s actually a waste of resources and time to shoot them and then not release them.

If this happens quite often as you guys said, I think it's probably Celine’s choice. Sony or her team wouldn't waste time and money to not release something. My guess is: Celine doesn't participate in the creation process, she probably just approve (or not) the final result. I think it might have something to do with insecurity... If she doesn't like, it won't see the light of day.

It's just a guess but it's the only thing that make sense to me.

Probably. VH1 used to show a live “music video” of TLYM, where she was wearing the white catsuit and I’m pretty sure it was Taro Hakasi playing violin. So there’s another full concert we know was filmed (and those videos aren’t available on YouTube either—just Call the Man, which is exquisite). I really wonder why we ended up with Memphis. The Montréal show was much better from what I’ve seen (plus I like her hair & costumes better).

They played the ABM Live performance from the VH1 special from Montreal in the US and other countries.
