has anyone else seen the BET Honors video of Mariah performing "You're mine"? its available for downloading at mariahjournal and she dont appear to be lipping; quite a decent performance :thumbup1:

!! now, can we use this video as the official one?? coz this one (even the back ground video on screen) is head & shoulders above the official 2 shots economy video; i mean, how much do they pay for her to make videos?? :cursing:

I don't think you can delete a comment but you can edit it. It's just slightly annoying when people bash on her for no good reason, including Celine fans. I understand that people have different tastes in music, but when Celine fans say things that literally have nothing to do with her voice or talent is when it gets annoying.

Also I guess the name of the album isn't The Art Of Letting Go. She posted on instagram/twitter that the album has yet to be named. I just want the album tbh :wub:

i know and I'm sorry I feel really bad about it that's why I wanted to delete it right away!! Believe me I literally never post or comment things like that!! It's not the way I am! I believe you can only edit a post just a few minutes after you've posted it. If you wait too long, the 'edit' tab disappears.

You also asked about the real Mariah.

I know several fans who have met her. She is really nice and takes time for her fans.

She even had a bodyguard come over to one of my friends to tell them to come back to the hotel at a certain hour and then Mariah would come outside.

She did, gave them autographs and they could take pictures with her.

Another friend drove all the way to Italy to meet her (I live in the Netherlands).

Mariah recognized him as being a Dutch fan and invited him in to have lunch in the hotel restaurant.

Mariah's music is very different IMO.

Maybe her early 90's work is somewhat similar to Celines early 90's work.

Have a listen to the Music Box album with songs like Hero, Without You and All I've Ever Wanted.

yes but only 2 song - Obsessed is what I think it was called but it was a long time ago and my moms favorite Christmas song all I want for Christmas is you but I didn't really pay that much attention to it though

but I will give a chance now

Girl, you need to check the 90´s Mariah. Search on youtube: Vision of Love, Vanishing, Emotions, Love takes time, Make it happen, Hero, Without you, All I´ve ever wanted, Anytime you need a friend, Fantasy, One sweet day, Honey, Butterfly. Just to have a glimpse of who she is.

What I don't get here is how come you never listened to Mariah's music but you have an opinion about her. I don't mean to be rude, I'm simply curious. You should check all songs that Lu mentioned, her selection is great. I'd also recommend 'You're So Cold' (probably the greatest intro ever), 'My All', 'Looking In'. From the newer stuff my personal favourites are 'We Belong Together', 'I Stay In Love', 'Side Effects', 'Angels Cry' and 'The Art Of Letting Go'.

She should check out every album from 1990-1997 on youtube. All those songs might be good. Some of her stuff post butterfly she can also check out too. There is good stuff but to me her older stuff is the best.

What I don't get here is how come you never listened to Mariah's music but you have an opinion about her. I don't mean to be rude, I'm simply curious. You should check all songs that Lu mentioned, her selection is great. I'd also recommend 'You're So Cold' (probably the greatest intro ever), 'My All', 'Looking In'. From the newer stuff my personal favourites are 'We Belong Together', 'I Stay In Love', 'Side Effects', 'Angels Cry' and 'The Art Of Letting Go'.

She´s a great person, a great heart. a good wife, a good mom. She have already suffered a lot in life.

I got your point. You were misled by what some people think about Mariah. That's why you should judge for yourself, not by others' opinions.

hello leah-m_iloveceline5, im a fan of some of mariahs music too, & i fully 100% agree w/ everyone else on here that mariahs 90s music is her very best!!!!!!!!! i dont care for most of her current songs w/ the exception of a few songs, but thats just my opinion tho lol, everyone has different tastes even on here lol!!!!!!!!

my favorite mariah songs of all time that i recommend for u that are very similar to celines music are from her first 6 albums, from 1990 to 1996, my 2 all time fave mariah albums are: "music box" (1993), & "daydream" (1996)... my fave mariah songs of all time are:

-one sweet day (duet w/ boyz 2 men, a VERY TALENTED r&b quartet from the 90s, i miss their music as well, i wonder what happened to them, they need to make a comeback too)...

-fantasy

-always be my baby

-emotion

-make it happen

-cant let go

-ill be there (from her mtv unplugged show back in 1992, the show & album also included unplugged performances of her earliest hits from her previous 2 albums that she had @ that point, ooooh how i really wish that CELINE WOULD DO AN UNPLUGGED SHOW, THAT WOULD BE FANTASTIC, @ least i think it would lol)...

now when it comes to mariah being a bad influence, i dont think she is a bad influence either since shes not getting into trouble w/ the law, & such, & even tho yes she does like to show off her boobs too much @ times, shes not as bad as other singers like madonna, miley cyrus, jennifer lopez, & lady gaga, who all do like to push the envelope too much by shock gimmicks & showing more than the world needs to see of their private body parts lol... but for the most part, her image is not the worst compared to other singers, i just wish sometimes she needs to cover her cleavage a bit, im not saying she should wear turtlenecks or anything like that, but she shoud be careful w/ the boob showing, it can be inappropriate sometimes, especially now that shes in her 40s & has 2 young children & all to consider when shes getting dressed...

the only thing about mariah that im not really crazy about these days tho besides her sometimes inappropriate boob showing on tv lol, is the songs that shes brought out in recent years... im sorry to the other fellow mariah fans in this forum, i do think that mariah can be a very good singer, her 90s music is great & a few of her post-2000s songs are great too, buuuuuut most of her post-2000s music isnt that good @ all, except for a few songs.... but again thats just my opinion, we all got different opinions... but i prefer mariahs earlier songs, i think most of her recent stuff stiiiiinks lol... sorry folks, but thats just my opinion lol... well i hope that i have helped u out a little leah-m_iloveceline5, & i hope u find & enjoy my recommendations of the best mariah carey songs & albums, i really do hope that u have a good evening.. :) :) :) :)
