You're right, it might not be true but if it is...I have to admit I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Probably not be true. But I´ll go insane. My dream! Love love love

The beautiful introduction and overall polished production of this song are its strong parts. Other than that the music is monotone, you can barely tell when the chorus (which I have totally forgotten) kicks in. The lyrics are awkward as she goes from basic sentences ''Letting go ain't easy'' to using ''big words'' as if she went through a dictionary while she was writing the song. ''Go to MiMi on your contacts, press delete'' made me cringe. Her voice sounds very full in the soft verses which is a sign of improvement. However her high notes are overproduced and robotic, obviously edited in the studio. She's done nothing close to these powerful, full voice beltings the past 5 years or so. I give this song a 5/10. Didn't expect more, to be honest.

Mariah has always been known for using 'big words'. She already did so on the first album, that's part of why I've loved her since 1990. She has a great way with words IMO. The "Go to Mimi on your contacts, press delete" is also I welcome on this song. It's part of the "Mariah language" she's been using more and more in the last years. It's like 'old' Mariah meets 'new' Mariah in this song. I love that. I also love the big voice belting and it was great she even did those live at Jimmy Fallon.

I get the feeling this song is for the fans. An album track. But as we have to wait till February for the album, it's like a treat to keep us happy for now. To me it reminds me a lot of personal album tracks like Looking In and Outside. Brilliant album tracks, but not commercial sounding to be single material. Same goes for The Art Of Letting Go. Absolutely brilliant song, but not something radio would play, I guess. But as I understood it's not been send to radio and there are no remixes nor videoclip. It's not a single. So it doesn't need to compete with the success of #Beautiful.

I'm listening to "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" now. I feel this song was so ahead of its time. Beats me why radio didn't show much love to it. :(

I have no idea why this song failed to be a success. It was summer song for 2008! It is November, by the way, listen to something more appropriate! :P

It's fantabulous.

I'm getting in the mood for the end of the year countdown, so I'm listening to my Top 100 songs of the last decade, and it showed. :P

]Check out who is rocking killer threads and who needs to put their stylist on (permanent?) timeout this week.[/b]

Best: Celine Dion

Celine Dion looked positively ageless as she showed off her legs on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Monday (Oct. 28). The singer opted for an edgy black number from Anthony Vaccarello’s Fall 2013 collection to promote her new single, “Loved Me Back to Life.” Dion styled the feisty one-sleeve dress with killer black pumps, a bold silver ring, a pink lip and wavy tresses. We’re totally having major Dion hair envy here. Kelly Rowland and Anna Dello Russo both recently stepped out in a similar look from the designer, but we have to admit, Celine rocked Vaccarello’s threads best!

Worst: Mariah Carey

We wish Mariah Carey left more to be desired while honoring Patti Labelle on the “BET Black Girls Rock! 2013” stage held at New Jersey Performing Arts Center in New Jersey on Saturday (Oct. 26). The singer hit the stage in a black crop top paired with a floor length Alexander McQueen Resort 2013 black skirt complete with gold embellishments. First, not to be nitpicky, but Mariah already wore this skirt on “American Idol” last year. While repeating a skirt isn’t complete fashion suicide, we have to say, this look does nothing for the singer. In fact, it’s downright unflattering.

Are you already listening to Christmas music?

To begin, a short story: On Saturday afternoon, I was at a dive-y sports bar enjoying an adult beverage with some peers. A jukebox-type situation in the corner played the hits of the '80s, '90s and today. Around 12:30 p.m., Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" came on. Clock it: November 16, 12 days before Thanksgiving and 39 days before Christmas.

http://mcarchives.com/images/leeg.gif When is it too early to play Christmas music? There seem to be two time frames people often refer to as the right time to crank the Christmas tunes: 1) The day after Halloween; or 2) The day after Thanksgiving. The first, the post-Halloweeners, don't even let the jack o' lanterns rot before they have the tree up, the ugly sweaters out and the Christmas music playing. (All of the time. There is only one way to listen to Christmas music: All of the time.)

http://mcarchives.com/images/leeg.gif These people argue that the holiday season starts November 1 and that Christmas music is fair game once the clock strikes midnight. Whoever picked "All I Want For Christmas Is You" at the bar is this kind of person. Starbucks is this kind of person too (their holiday cups and Christmas cheer are already full display, well before Thanksgiving).

http://mcarchives.com/images/leeg.gif Others wait until after Thanksgiving, giving the Day of Thanks a moment in the spotlight before smothering it with little drummer boys and silent nights and bells that jingle. Once the turkey - and the stuffing, never forget the stuffing - is eaten, the Christmas pre-party may commence.

http://mcarchives.com/images/leeg.gif A lot of radio stations will wait until November 29 to start playing Christmas music. I wait until November 29, the day after Thanksgiving, to play Christmas music. First of all, because Turkey Day is dope and shouldn't have to share the attention with its more popular big sister, Christmas.

http://mcarchives.com/images/leeg.gif Secondly, because isn't the anticipation for Christmas already bad enough? Why extend it by cracking into your iTunes "Christmas Jamz" playlist too early? But that's just my opinion. What say you?

I listen to Christmas music whenever I feel like it. Especially with Mariah not having released a full album since MCIIY, I tend to play that album once in a while, even in summertime.

Then again, when I do start to play Christmas music, it depends. In the Netherlands we celebrate "Sinterklaas" and usually Christmas music doesn't get airplay till after Sinterklaas, which "ends" on 5 December.

But some years (like this year) I start playing Christmas music in October. That's because some artists release their new Christmas music in October and I don't want to wait till later to hear wonderful new music. Besides, we have like 100 Christmas CD's and I won't be able to play them all when I wait too long.
