Also, I was on twitter and a lamb pointed out something which is probably not true but would be amazing. According to Mariah's The Art Of Letting Go wikipedia page (I know, I know) there's going to be a duet with Celine. It's probably not true, but one can dream right?

You're right, it might not be true but if it is...I have to admit I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Bad boy once again

For me, an epic Mariah ballad is "Whenever You Call" and there are some amazing songs in her 90s albums that were not singles.

I also love LOVE "For The Record" and "I Wish You Well" but they are R&B-ish, the second one leaning to the gospel side.

I started listening to the Daydream album again and goodness, I forgot how much I loved it!

A duet with Celine? The release date is already up in the air. Throw Celine into the mix and we'll NEVER get this album. :sofunny:

She's been in the studio a lot lately with different artists. I feel now like she's practically making a different record. What's going on? I have this nightmare idea that she made a great throwback soulful R&B album and then when Beautiful didn't quiiiite do what maybe they thought it would be doing, she panicked and now it's going to be more of the same boring hip-hop with lame cooing vocals.

Hiiii lambs!!

I'm so happy to be able to catch up with everybody here on Facebook. The last three months of my life have not been easy. Getting through this injury has been the toughest experience of my life. It took me three months to get to this point but thank God I was able to recover and get my arm back. It's a huge deal, it should have taken eight months and even my doctors can't believe it. It's been a long journey, the physical therapists have been incredible and I am very grateful to all of them for helping me.

When people expected me to go "Here I am, I'm back and everything's great!", it didn't happen because my hand was still in tremendous pain and it took this long for it to heal. I've been working day and night, and it took a lot of rest (though I did sneak in to the studio a couple o' times!) but I can finally say that I am on my way to a full recovery.

There's a lot of excitement that I'm going to reveal to you very soon, and sooner than you know it, you're going to understand why but more than that, you're going to feel what I've been feeling for the past- not three months- but three years.

This is, to me, one of the most important albums I've ever made in my life. If you're a lamb, a fan, or just a human being that needs to feel good, happy, sad, miserable, joyous... "I gotcha" (said like Roc- you haven't heard how he says it yet but you will soon, it's a complete+total classic!)

They didn't even know it. So his boyfriend watched it like ten times and then it was the first thing we filmed.

Antonio really loved it. We secretly filmed him when he first watched it. He was overjoyed and still cannot believe we did this for him.

I don't know about you, but I'm totally sick of all those delays of the album! In fact it's been 2 years of "release very soon" out of the 3 since she started working on it. And she's putting the "finishing touches" since the beginning of 2012. What I hope is that it's gonna worth all the wait in terms of quantity (the quality's for sure, it's MC). I want 16-17 songs AT LEAST!

As for the single "The Art of Letting Go" I hope for it's a gorgeously melodic R&B ballad in the vain of "We Belong Together" and "H.A.T.E.U" with no guests in it.

Hey lambs,

Thank you (!!!!!) for all your comments this week about the announcement of "The Art of Letting Go." I wish I could answer all of your questions and I’m gonna try my hardest and definitely tell you a bit more about the song.

I wrote and produced "The Art of Letting Go" with my friend, the uber talented Rodney Jerkins. We had worked together before, but this time around, I feel we went down a more organic path in terms of our approach to the songwriting process.

"The Art of Letting Go" was the second of two beloved songs I wrote with Rodney for this album. As we were writing, we both got goosebumps and a feeling of nostalgia. It might sound over the top but when I was singing this song, I felt like I had touched upon certain emotions within myself that I haven’t put on a record in a very long time. I truly can't wait for all of you to hear and share these feelings with me.
