I'm not too into Mariah's remixes. I prefer the original tracks.

Heartbreaker / If You Should Ever Be Lonely (Junior's Club Mix) Love how she made a mash up of those two songs.

Touch My Body (Remix feat. The-Dream) Love the new verse. Fun!

 

I love many more, but these are some of my favorites.

I have over 300 Mariah songs on my mp3-player, thanks to dance remixes, no rap versions, alternative versions, etc.

My All remix is ok. But "I Still Believe/Pure Imagination" Remix is a gem ...and so is the video; one of her best made videos actually!! love the guitar base in it. i hope u'all know there is Damizza Remix version Feat only Bone Thugs n Harmony and not Da Brat which sounds much better.

i also LOVE "Touch My Body" Tricky Remix Ft The Dream ...sounds much better than the original!!!

 

also, love "Always Be My Baby" Duprix Remix too, which sampled The SOS Band's "Tell Me If You Still Care". this was the time Mariah really started experimenting new sounds

 

im so loving the new remixes of "#Beautiful" ..but i still like the original better

Very emotional!

It's one of her most emotional & personal tracks ever. I think the lyrics say it all. All that diva behaviour of hers... It's just a mask...a defence. Deep down, I believe Mariah is still a scared little girl who's suffered a lot, dealing with the 'side effects' of past choices and relations. She just doesn't want to show it, she doesn't want to look weak and hurt. So she puts on a mask and everyone says 'oh, she's such a f*****k diva', and I bet she's like 'oh, ok, say what you want, I don't care, I know who I am'.

Mariah is known to have a lot of insecurities and compensates it with her diva-ness. The thing is, she's already a legend. She doesn't need the diva thing. Just make good music and she'll be fine. But that's a tall order as she wants to top her peak (which will never happen) so it's the norm for her.

I love Looking In so much. I thing that song, Melt Away, along with I Am Free are my favorite off the Daydream album.

It's really nice to see her perform older songs she's never performed before.

I do think she is definitely still extremely insecure, I wish she wasn't but she's dealt with a lot of stuff.

That ~diva~ thing is definitely a shtick. She sees how people react to it and just goes along with it.

i love Celine's "The Colour Of My Love" ...does she even sing that song? i wish she sang it more often rather than her popular hits coz its really beautiful.

She sang it in her TCOML tour, and in about 6 or so promotional appearances, but not since 1995.

 

As for Mariah, I loved the "Looking In" performance. Very nice to see a song performed for the first time 18 years later.

Perhaps the injury she had was a blessing. Had it not been for that we probably would have gotten the remix for "My All" , it was awesome to see the regular version. Loved it.

ive seen the videos of TCOML tour & ive seen those old performances of "The Clour Of My Love" ...but ive never seen any videos of her performing that song since mid-90s. she should sing it again. also live performances of "With This Tear" is very very rare; in fact the only one ive seen is this (messy hair though ) :

No High Heels for Mariah Carey

 

Mariah Carey has been avoiding high heels since her fall.

 

Although the "Hero" singer is known for her love of stilettos, her husband Nick Cannon says she has decided to stick to flat shoes while she recovers from a dislocated shoulder, cracked rib and chipped shoulder bone that she suffered after falling on the set of her video for the remix of "Beautiful."

 

Nick - who was directing the video when the incident occurred - told E! News: "She's feeling a lot better and taking it one day at a time.

 

"She's only in [her heels] when she needs to be in them, like when she had her [Hurricane Sandy relief benefit] concert in Central Park. She's just being very careful."

 

Despite his wife's reputation for being a diva, Nick insists she is down to earth and even picks up after their dogs, which include a new Jack Russell puppy.

 

He said: "[she cleans up after the dogs] probably more than I do. She doesn't have any problem with that. She loves taking care of her dogs. She's just a regular person.

 

"Our new puppy's name is The Reverend Pow Jackson. He's two and a half months old and it's cool because we're here hanging out with all these other dogs."
