Not bad but I still prefer Minnie's verison. I don't really know what it is but I find something very special about it. Emotion, atmosphere... I don't know but I think there's something only Minnie can give to this song.

Is this the "I Love Your Smile" Shanice?? I remember when ILYS came out over here she was on Going Live (i something) and Sarah Greene said she'd been told she can hit that note in Loving You, and she did it. I remember that like it was yesterday - not 20 odd years ago!

Yes, Shanice had a big hit with I Love Your Smile. From the same album came I'm Cryin' (which was co-written by Narada Michael Walden who also co-wrote Mariah's I Don't Wanna Cry...) Shanice first recorded Lovin' You for this same album (called Inner Child and released in 1991). On her 2006 album Every Woman Dreams Shanice recorded Lovin' You again. I prefer her first version.

It's odd how she looks so amaze on Idols and yet like a cow in her latest mv. Her throwing glitter on Candice was epic though (and well deserved). I could only feel Minaj' Vaj boiling over.

I loved that! And Nicki is just sitting there like -_- There's an ad on the YouTube video and it's about the app and when Ryan says something about 'song facts' it's Celine's MHWGO :P

Per ABC and Yahoo! News, Mariah will be performing on Good Morning America on May 24th to kick off their summer concert series. She'll be doing her new single, so I'd say expect it to hit radio before that date.

does anyone have mariah's "i don't wanna cry" cd single from 1991? i need a 320 kbps mp3 ripped from the cd. i've been trying to get this song in high quality for ages. i tried to edit the album version to match the single version but it can't be done. would anyone be willing to do a trade? i have a huge collection of celine and mariah as well as many others. thanks in advance!

Started listening to Mariah a little more then a month ago...since i found Celine i used to just ignore her lol (bad on my part) i actually like a good amount of songs, and i used to hate her as a singer (i prefer powerful voices) but i have grown acustom to it,kinda like it. My favorite albums already are Daydream, Emancipation & Butterfly (Honorable mention to Charmbracelet). I mean, she's not on Celine's level, but i like her :)

Hope there'll be no release date 'clash' between them. Neither Mariah nor Celine would benefit from that.

Yeah, I don't think that'd be a good idea at all. Not just because they would affect each other, but there will be the inevitable comparisons, and I'm not prepared for the inevitable fan wars that would ensue. God forbid! :mellow: Hehe

Mariah is working day and night to get the album finished. After Idol she rushes off to the studio. She's recorded more than enough songs to fill an album. She's giving a concert for Good Morning America next month. I guess she'll be singing some new songs and the album will be released around that date. So my thought are we have a new album at the end of May or early June.

One more thing. I love Celine for who she is, I love how emotional she can get on stage, I love her meaningful songs but Mariah is the greatest female voice I've ever heard. Maybe she's just not your cup of tea, it's possible.

I like Mariah, i LOVE Celine.. I wouldn't call Celine the greatest female voice i've ever heard though. Minnie Ripperton, Mahilah Jackson, Melba Moore, Stephanie Mills, Aretha Frankin, Barbra Strieshand etc,.Celine is just my Favorite. But i mean your opinion is yours :) Thanks for the videos too.

I love the early 90s Mariah. Her voice was so powerful and pure (even better than Whitney and Celine).

Out of the three, i would say that Whitney had the best voice, but Celine is my favorite, because something in her voice makes me emotional,.
