rakesh Posted September 17, 2011 at 01:08 PM Posted September 17, 2011 at 01:08 PM Nick: Twins Will "Absolutely Not" Have Showbiz Careers Nick Cannon wants to keep the number of celebrities in his household to a minimum. The America's Got Talent host, 30, says he will "absolutely not" let his 4½-month-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, follow in the famous footsteps of him and wife Mariah Carey. "I just want them to strive for something greater than entertainment," Cannon told PEOPLE backstage after Wednesday's AGT's season finale. "I'm one of those believers in teachers, professors, heart surgeons. That's what I'm rooting for. If I could get a scientist, that'd be amazing." Even though fame isn't the path Cannon wants his children to take, he says it's the right road for him and Carey. "My wife is so understanding because she's just as busy and just as focused as I am, so it's kind of like the perfect match," he says. "I love my career and I love being in entertainment, so it never really feels like an occupation." Still, Hollywood isn't top priority for Cannon. "Being a father and being a husband comes first," he says. "Everybody knows I'm obsessed with my wife," he gushes. "I'm married to Mariah Carey. It doesn't get better than that. I'd be an idiot to do anything wrong. I worship my wife. Have you seen my back? My back says 'Mariah Forever.' " Quote

Maybe she will one day but you never know Those are my favorites from that album. But the earlier stuff is my favorite. But isn't she supposed to have a new album soon? O.o i dont think she'd go back to 'Mariah Carey' days either [well... her voice matured too] ...earlier she sounded kinda powerful ...very Whitney-esqe ! i think from Music Box onwards she started really coming into her own original sound, which is a rather 'lighter' sound than it was before. Mariah's always mentioned her first love's always been R&B & HipHop than pop. Mariah Carey, Emotions & Music Box were never, her really being her!! those albms were more like, her doing what Sony authorities wanted her to do ...sing schmaltzy (her words) pop-ballads (one of the reasons why Music Box gets boring). i think albm Mariah Carey still sounds good coz she successfully mixed sounds with R&B, Pop, Rock & Gospel. "Vision of Love" is more of an R&B-Rock than Pop-Rock. i really wish she'd go back to somethin like that... u know, songs that are R&B-ish but with a really strong Rock-background-beat or somethin, instead of the 'We Belong Together' remakes she does lately ['Bye Bye', 'Angel's Cry' anyone?] ...and how bout some smooth jams like 'I Still Believe {Pure Imagination}' (Damizza Remix), 'Underneath The Stars' & 'Breakdown' ...those are like classic Mariah Nick's been talkin about her coming out with a new albm for a looooooooooong time (gosh!! that guy could get really annoying sometimes ), but ive never really heard any plans of release or whatsoever... rakesh Posted September 22, 2011 at 07:50 PM Posted September 22, 2011 at 07:50 PM Simon Cowell: "Someone Bigger" To Replace Mariah on X-Factor? Less than a week before X-Factor makes its season debut on Fox, entertainment reporter Julie Chang of Good Day New York (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) caught up with Simon Cowell at the show's red carpet premiere event. Cowell compared the experience of starting on a new show to his beginnings with American Idol and revealed a celebrity judge. Chang said Cowell looked "like a new man," and asked him if he had more invested in the new show, since its one he had created. "Well, it's like starting all over again," he said. "When I came here ten years ago, it was a similar feeling. I had no idea what was going to happen. But I did like the show. And this is kind of the same feeling. It's a different show. I've enjoyed it. I don't know what's going to happen. So it's exciting." Chang also overhead other interviews in which Cowell said Rihanna will be a guest judge, which Cowell confirmed. It was supposed to be Mariah Carey, but circumstances conspired against her. "She couldn't judge because of the hurricane, but I found someone bigger," he said. Hopefully he wasn't planning on asking Carey back. Rihanna bigger than Mariah? since when? whatever... anyways...if they bring in Rihanna it'll be very interesting!!!! i hope all the contestants won't be taking too much inspiration & start warbling like goats like she does!!! meehhhhh... mehhhhhhhhhhhhhh... rakesh Posted September 22, 2011 at 08:47 PM Posted September 22, 2011 at 08:47 PM (edited) "When Do The Bells Ring For Me" "When Do The Bells Ring For Me," Mariah's timeless duet with timeless singer Tony Bennett, is now available! The pairing of two music legends from two generations is being celebrated: "When Do The Bells Ring For Me" is... a light, romantic ballad which perfectly caters to both Mariah and Tony's vocal strengths... We can assume that the light and airy tone we get on this record was a conscious effort to match Tony's classic croon... Mariah sounds like a classically trained Broadway vocalist on the track." -MTV Mariah Carey [shows] unusual restraint on "When Do the Bells Ring For Me." -Associated Press Mariah Carey brings the soul on "When Do The Bells Ring For Me." -US Magazine Mariah Carey's part on "When Do the Bells Ring For Me" should make the new mother of twins want to record her own album of standards and get away from hip-hop for good. -Showbiz 411 "She's just so talented... During the session, recorded when she was close to giving birth to a set of twins, I kept kidding her that our record was more than just a duet because I was actually recording with three people! And let me just say that she knocked that performance right out of ballpark. She was sensational." -Tony Bennett Edited September 22, 2011 at 08:48 PM by rakesh Quote

I've said that I love her early ballads but in her later projects we can actually hear the real Mariah. She is enjoying doing R&B music and we can feel it. PriscillaBarragan Posted October 8, 2011 at 04:35 AM Posted October 8, 2011 at 04:35 AM Mariah is doing a collaboration with Bieber! They re-recorded All I Want For Christmas Is You..... http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1672005/j...iah-carey.jhtml I don't really know what to feel right now. I mean I don't think it's a bad thing she's collaborating with him because his voice has gotten a lot deeper since the begining of his career. It's just the song choice that I don't like....I mean this is a classic! I understand doing a completely different song but this song is just too amazing. It may get a little annoying during the Christmas season but it wouldn't be Christmas without it. Flip side to this. Ok , I know I may be going out of proportion because of the fact I actually haven't heard the song yet, maybe I'll like it. Not to mention, it's Bieber and he has a BIG (not to mention crazy) fanbase. If this song goes on the radio and if some of them haven't heard who Mariah is then they'll go and see who she is and maybe become a fan as well. Maybe it can become a #1 single? JUST SO MANY EMOTIONS RIGHT NOW Quote

celinesounds Posted October 29, 2011 at 12:00 AM Posted October 29, 2011 at 12:00 AM Mariah should be careful choosing the song to sing, because she can hit like she did in the past most of the songs of MCIIU are ok, because the album was well produced and now they should starting promote the song ONE CHLID or Charlie Brown Christmas, both have amazing vocals Quote #FREEJAVITO
