I don't know, I think I like the idea of songs between footage instead of a full concert... it is something different... That would probably mean we get some of the rare songs too... It sound really awesome.... can't wait...

 

Edit: Didn't see Ashley's post. Maybe they just showed the behind the scenes footage... now it doesn't sound right... Even the Vegas DVD was longer and they had much more footage for the tour...

how long was the screening of the video he saw?

 

it's not all choppy videos like that right?...we can still just watch the full concert right?

like can we see all of the boston footage right after the other instead of with interviews between?

He said it was about two hours long. I'm not sure how it will be... but what he saw was all edited together with interviews/clips in between songs. So I'm not sure if you'll be able to watch the concert in it's entirely without interruption.

 

He said that during each song, they would show want country they were in. Which makes me think they have songs from each country - and maybe didn't use the whole Boston or Montreal show? I was confused by that, but he said the way it was edited - they would talk about being in Paris, and then she would be singing a French song in Paris.

 

I forgot to mention that no release date was mentioned.

 

I'm curious to know if they're thinking of releasing it in theaters first, sort of like a "This Is It" type of thing.

the way it sounds is like it's a documentary more than anything...which is cool, but i just want to be able to watch the concert in one piece too

that's what i was thinking when i watch This is it!! like could it be because they gonna put it in movie!!! so they delay the work???

then now if they gonna put on movie then mmmm maybe they should have like release different one

like release the Concert tour dvd in march and then if there's CELINE DION: THROUGH THE EYES OF THE WORLD movie release this later in may!?

 

and maybe the new album in march is the soundtrack to the movie???

Ohhhh I definitely want to be able to watch the concert from start to finish, no interruptions! Editing people, if you are reading this, remember that!!! I want to experience the concert again like I remember....Now, on the bonus section, a documentary disc with all the other would be great! Like they did with AND LILV, a concert view and a bonus view.

 

And I don't really like the title unless that were the title disc for the Bonus part with the documentary, if they were to do it that way. i think it should still be Celine Dion: Taking Chances blah blah blah and the bonus be Through the Eyes of the World. But that's my 2 cents.

I'm thinking that it is probably just the bonus DVD. If you think about it, the concert alone was an hour and a half, so how can they fit all the extra footage with songs in just two hours... unless they only used a few songs, which I doubt... Plus the title does sound like a ''behind the scenes'' type of thing...

But I like the whole idea of showing as many cities she had visited, and then show a song or something from that show in that city!!

 

It sounds more like a documentary with interviews, showing a song, or celine in that country, then just a 'behind the scenes'

think we get the whole concert on the other disc to! but looks to me that some things can change now!!

So it's actually gonna be a tour documentary (like Madonna's I'm going to tell you a secret). I must admit, although it is nice, it is not what I was hoping for. Lets reminiscent for a while - we were told that two full concerts will be shown - Boston and Montreal. So, again, whatever happened to that... I must admit, this type of tour documentary could make a wonderful bonus feature. However, to me it will constitute a major disappointment if they didn't release the two full concerts we were told of.

I think it is possible that there can be full performances on the extra DVD. Think about it: ''The Show Must Go On'' was cut at some point, so maybe it is not on the concert DVD. ''Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore'' could be included to show the crowd singing with Celine... And Ashley mentions that it includes the guests, so that means that ''A World to Believe In''. A Song For You'' and ''Because You Loved Me'' (with Charice) can be on the extra DVD. Plus there are loads of other songs that was not performed during the Boston and Montreal shows... Reading the spoiler again, it seems to me very much like the special Features, i dont think they would only bring this out without a full concert! Who knows it may be two seperate DVDs which have nothing to do with eacher other, other that its from the same tour. One DVD maybe releced as a documetary and another as a Concert DVD, there is no way that they wont bring out a full concert! Thats what i think anyway

 

I think there is so much being put into this project, even a live CD, i think this maybe one part of the whole project they are creating for us! The special features is what could change the most due to what people think, there isnt much point in asking about a concert, as the concert cant really change can it? its being filmed already, so there cant be must disscussion on what should stay and go as it is a concert. The special features on the other hand has so much footage, the screening could help to say whats gotta go and stay. if you get me:) I think this is gonna be great!

From the details provided i would say: this is the bonus behind the scences dvd. The actual concert itself is at least 2 hours, to add scences from every country it would be well over 2 hours. I think the acutal concert dvd will be recorded live from Montreal or Boston. If there was a preview that means that we are close to a release date!! This is exciting news either way!! Thank you so much for sharing!!

Definitely sounds like Madonna's DVD, which was not a bonus DVD but the "real" show DVD. Although you could not actually see all the songs of the show...

That's the same for Madonna's show... I love the idea, only if we do have a different DVD with the full show on it. But I guess we can't ask too much... although after such a long wait, we could expect the best!

well I love the concept they have done but it'd be a shame not to see the whole concert as a full show with interval videos and every song (at least those which were in regular list)... I think it's a great thing and will like it for sure but the full concert is essential for me, too...

I pray that we are wrong... But after reading that invitation thing Ronny posted on the previous page again, it sounds like that is exactly what we are getting... a documentary...

 

I know that Sony (or whoever) sometime does stupid things, but would they really release a DVD like that? I mean, they must know that most people are not even bothered by the ''behind the scenes'' stuff and only want the concert (talking about average fans and not fans like us). Plus, how can they not know that people want to see the show the way they saw it during the tour...

Still, it is weird that they filmed both Montréal and Boston shows if they are not to be included in the DVD. To me, it would be normal to release 2 versions of the DVD, one for the french speaking fans and one for the english speaking fans. There would be one DVD of the show and one with the documentary.

 

That's only a guess though. Actually more a hope than a guess.

Fanny, this sounds so great, that it couldn't possibly ever come true. We will be disappointed. Big time. As much as I would love a nice documentary, it's totally not gonna make me happy if it just substituted the real deal.

That's what I'm hoping for, too Fanny! That would make the most sense to me....a french full concert with documentary bonus dvd and an English dvd of the concert with bonus documentary footage.

 

And then I can buy both!
