I'll believe there will be a dvd when Sony or Celine's site give us actual confirmation, one hundred percent with a release date. As of right now I'm starting to think there won't even be a dvd they've been delaying this so long.

Yeah, this has gotten to the point that not only do I think there won't be a DVD, but I don't even care anymore to have one. What's the big deal in a DVD from a 2 year old tour? Old news.

I don't think there was ever any official date announced as of yet but we're going to have a great DVD of this tour for sure when they feel it's a good time to put it out.

I'm going to buy it for sure when it comes out. Personnally I don't mind waiting, I know it will be well worth the wait.

Darren..you have been mysteriously absent the last week...do you have any insight into this new MAY release news/theory/rumor/frustrating bit of information? This is simply ridiculous. May? Thats half a year from now. Its been 2 years already almost! Or am I off on that? I dont want to open up a can of worms but the concert was 2 years ago almost..they spend all this money and effort in traveling the world..documenting the entire tour for a year..does it really, honestly take 2 years to finish a concert dvd? I cannot think of another artists whose concert was filmed and released 2 years later...not to mention this was the number 2 tour of the year behind Madonna! The second highest grossing concert of the entire year from the worlds best selling female artist..and its now its almost 2 years and we are getting reports its possibly going to be released in MAY..another HALF year from now...Its unacceptable that its being handled like it is. I will be extrememly happy if we ever see this dvd..and with all this unacceptable time its taking to even get a release date it should be a 10 disc collection at this point. (daydreaming of course) Its possible that instead of postponing and delaying the dvd like they did 3 or 4 times with the A NEW DAY show..they are sparing the postponing and just not releasing it until 3 or 4 years after the show started...It happened with A NEW DAY and its happening with this tour. The production team that worked on the DVD have had more than enough time to edit the show perfectly, get the sound perfect, provide amazing extras..I just hope they did everything right for this DVD..and that the long wait will be rewarded. At this point its unacceptable timewise..anyways darren..anything positive regarding a release date? Anything official? Anything at all? Celines amazing production team has done it again.

I'm on vacation at the min but have received no info. from my contact saying that anything has changed, or any further updates... but thats not to say that it hasn't either.... but at this point in time I'm personally not worrying.

 

As I said previously, the wait for the official announcement regarding the dvd and release date is nearly over and is expected very soon.

 

So basically we are all waiting for the announcement which I think will be made by the official site this time.

But as always if I get any info. I'll post it here.

They recorded the DVD in August 2008. Releasing it in May 2010 is almost 2 YEARS!!! :evil:

I know it's frustrating having to wait, but I don't have a real problem with the DVD being released so long after the tour personally. It's not as if Celine has released another album since which will date the concert. If it's March or if it's May won't make much difference really, it's only 2-3 months later. Of course, the sooner the better, as I am looking forward to getting it, but I'm not going to lose interest in having it if it is delayed untill the Summer.

 

I always felt that it made perfect sense not to release the DVD of A.N.D. untill the very end of the show, And I don't see that you can compare the two. A.N.D. was a totally different type of event.

 

As long as the DVD/Blu Ray is released at some stage, I will be happy. We have lost too many amazing tours in the past, let's just hope this one is done right.

How about everyone get off of Darren's back? I think it is very rude of what some people are saying here. If he has any info, OF COURSE he would put it up. You don't need to bug the crap outta him!! It won't make the DVD come any faster, and maybe it won't even come at all. So just chill out and wait, that's all you can do!

It is NOT darrens fault that celines production are taking their sweet time on this DVD. Darren has been great. Celines production team...not great at all.

In no way was I bugging Darren. When i made my last post the only reason I asked where Darren was is because he is one of the people on this forum I trust 100% when it comes to news like this. So, I was only asking just to get him to either debunk the rumor or just tell it like he did. We're still just having to wait and see. And if it is released in May, it would be 2 years after the start of the tour. Sony or Productions J, get your act together! PLEASE!

the CD of Live à Paris was released on October 22, 1996. it was recorded in october/november 1995! (the video was released 2 weeks later). In February next year, the tour has ended 1 year prior, so what's the big deal? I hate the wait too, but I assume the end result will be extraordinaire!!!

Tina Turner recorded her DVD March 31 this year and released it October 14....and unlike many DVDs which are choppy and poorly produced, her's was very good.

 

It's disappointing that we have to wait longer then necessary with no good reason. The DVD IS DONE, yet we still have 4 more months...

I find it ridiculous that we have to wait so long! Madonna will sure release her dvd this christmas I think. And in march 2010..it is so far away! I am gonna ### them if they don't add those extra songs we demanded! - charice in hd, think twice etc. We deserve it! make it a 3dvdpack for waiting so long!

I do not like the wait either, but I do not really think that you can compare Céline's dvd's to MANdonna or any other artists... they put lots of effort in the dvd's (in recent times) and it will be worth the long wait...

We should be happy to get a dvd at all!

Becuase You Loved Me is always live I don't really want Celine to record new audio and dub her voice on the DVD. I'd rather she recorded some new palyback for Vegas 2011!
