I’m glad they kept at least the “squares grille” design for the concept of the singles (most noticeable on I’m Alive artwork), and the skies and the blue colored design :)

 

I think they showed that cover on the screens during the ANDHC TV Special too?

Right In Front Of You, who else can’t get enough of this tune??

 

I can play this on repeat ad nauseam, it makes me smile, makes me want to cry at the same time.

 

The flute playing on the bridge, and that whirlwind of strings playing all the time on the background in frantic mode, the extended chorus on repeat at the end... it’s just perfect.

 

The best thing after playing such an amazing opening song like I’m Alive is that this song comes next, right in front of you :wub:

When the album first came out, it sounded a bit like a Westlife song to me... but it was my feelgood song for quite a while!

Shame she never performed it live....

Nope, shame, big shame she didn’t perform it live or on more shows, but at least we have that playback version (though shortened) of the Canadian TV Special, where she nailed it! :wub: I cherish that video like a treasure, because there is only that one performance of the song, but everything was spot on (the stage, the venue with that huge audience, the dancers...) :wub:

 

Bless the one who decided to include this song on that particular event (I think it was supposed to be a single at one point since it was highlighted on the promo cardboard stands of the album in US stores along with I’m Alive and At Last). That’s better than nothing (and nothing is what we have of many other great uptempo songs like Reveal, Faith, etc)

 

There are many great songs made to make the audiences jump on and dance... Many others in this album still that never saw the stage (as with the rest of gems spread in her other albums)... But this one had just that one unique performance :wub:

I believe that many non-fans after watching the "Ashes" music video are looking for other Celine videos.

Her views on VEVO are increasing.

Well I guess that if ANDHC was a global success (her last one actually), I'm Alive has become an instant Celine Dion classic in discos and parties when they play something about Celine. And being a real uptempo tune (not a mid-tempo like ANDHC), it's no question that with time it is actually a worthy successor after the success of the ANDHC single ^_^

 

I'd say I'm Alive has become a more important Celine song with years than when it was actually released back in the day :wub:

Best of this album is that it never gets old.

 

Wish Sony would re release it with 2 discs including some of the unreleased tracks and remixes of ANDHC and I'm Alive all together, but that's just wishful thinking of course. I think we were too lucky already when we got the Collector's Edition in 2008 before her other big albums FIY and LTAL.

 

Though there must have been a very good reason WHY they chose this particular album to be released on a Collector's Edition format before these other biggest-selling albums B) (or a very clever mind @Sony team, to make an exception lol).
