So I made a couple of summer edits of ANDHC cover photo. It's nothing super special, but I like the slightly more tropical look. Anyway.

About including Ten Days in the album and the number of songs she recorded:

Ten days (03:37) This is an English adaptation of the song Tomber by French Gérald de Palmas. "The album was finished, Dion explains, I had recorded twenty-seven songs, it was necessary to cut ten songs as it was... It was in December, we were in Montreal. And there, I watch a french tv special about Garou, I see an extraordinary fellow who is called Gerald De Palmas...I fell, it is the case to say it, under the shock of this melody of the song Tomber. "There, I say myself : I want a song like that, I want me to imagine that I am a part of a band, that I play the guitar... Rene says to me : "It is not possible, we have already too many songs. - Listen, I say to him, that, it will be my gift of the album, can we give it a try at least? - Yes, it is ok but I do not know Gerald De Palmas. - Call Jean-Jacques Goldman, ask him for Gerald De Palmas' number, I am sure that they know each other well... And then we are going to ask to Aldo Nova to make the translation of the song..." Finally, one thing leading to another, it arrived, Aldo Nova's adaptation perfectly stuck phonetically, I call Gerald De Palmas : "I would like to work with you... Your song Tomber, I love it! Do you want to make this song for me two tones higher?" We sent for Gerald to the studio in Florida - it was his first journey in the United States, he could not get over it and he expected to see Spielberg, E.T. or Mickey Mouse! - and we asked him to realize the adaptation of his piece."

Love Must Be You

Make Love To Me

And *maybe* any of the new songs included in One Heart (except I Drove All Night :giggle:)

Otherwise, 9 titles remain to be discovered  ^_^

And I didn't count the English version of L'amour existe encore and the Spanish version of Have You Ever Been In Love.

In any case, I'm sure Céline didn't say "that" number 27 with total precision, because in some interviews they said she recorded "around 30 songs" and in other they said "more than 30 songs", so who knows the exact number :hmm:

And this is a piece of info I overlooked somehow over these years, but just found she recorded another cover of a French song in English, "Laisse-moi t'aimer" (Let Me Love You), but obviously it wasn't kept for the final tracklist:

Jean Renard, famous composer of all the Mike Brant's tubes, announced, in the french newspaper Le Parisien (on December 07th, 2001): "Celine Dion is going to record the tube written for Mike Brant : Laisse moi t'aimer!". It would be about an English version. The song was not finally kept for the final choice. (Source: CelineDionWeb.com)

http://www.celinedio...y-has-come.html

Celine will record the historical French song "Laisse-Moi T'aimer"

"Laisse-Moi T'aimer", a huge French hit sung by Mike Brant in 1970, will be

covered by Celine. Here's a translation of an article published on

parisien.com:

«CELINE DION will record the hit written for Mike Brant : Laisse-moi t'aimer

! » Jean Renard, who just celebrated his 68th birthday over at his parent's

in Provin, successful songwriter for Johnny Hallyday and Sylvie Vartan, is

more than proud to deliver the scoop.

Read the entire article, in French:

http://www.leparisie...cleid=100750789

To hear the original version of the song, go to Mike Brant's official

website, where the song can be heard in the background (flash plug-in

required): http://www.mike-brant.com/

https://groups.googl...ion/zasGqi_PiYw

However, if it was eventually recorded or not... the article says so but who knows? I would take this with a grain of salt.

Wish I could help you, but I have the same picture. However, I'm not sure of the origin of this picture but I think it was fan made. The picture on the right is clearly another photo taken somewhere else, but it's not certainly from the official album photoshoot, and it also doesn't follow the elements on Céline's picture on the left.

Also, there's no such full picture as shown in that photo. If you look closer, the image was photoshopped with the elements of the beach, the sea and the sky, to make an "extended" version of the photo. They also did the same for the official US poster, to create an horizontal version of the "square" official album cover.

I know that we are in the minority with ANDHC fandom...

And I know that ANDHC hasn't been sung as many times as some other songs...

The Radio Remix has not been performed since 2008, and not counting this one-time thing, even longer, since 2002 and its performances (mostly ballad versions) have been extremely shortened, especially in the recent times....

BUT

I have just realised that ANDHC might have the most diverse history ever and have more versions than any other song. I haven't checked it closely, maybe some (like MHWGO) have more official remixes or sth but surely it has the biggest variation of live performances... Honestly MHWGO has had only 2 versions so far? the regular one and the one from ANDHC TV Special, that's all.

Look at this:

"A New Day Has Come" (Radio Remix) – 4:18

"A New Day Has Come" (Ballad Version / Album Edit) – 5:43

"A New Day Has Come" (Christian B. mix) – 3:59

"A New Day Has Come" (Richie Jones/Chris Panaghi club mix radio edit) – 4:32

"A New Day Has Come" (Richie Jones/Chris Panaghi club mix) – 11:07

"A New Day Has Come" (Richie Jones/Chris Panaghi club mix instrumental) – 11:07

"A New Day Has Come" (Mike Rizzo global radio edit) – 4:27

"A New Day Has Come" (Mike Rizzo global club mix) – 8:00

"A New Day Has Come" (Mike Rizzo global dub) – 6:31

"A New Day Has Come" (S.A.F. remix) – 3:59

"A New Day Has Come" (S.A.F. radio remix) – 4:23

"A New Day Has Come" (Live Radio Remix version) - from promo days of ANDHC in 2002, close to the Radio Remix album recording

"A New Day Has Come" (Live Ballad version) - from A New Day..., shortened in comparison to Album Edit

"A New Day Has Come" (Live Ballad version) - from Oprah 2007, shortened in comparison to the Las Vegas version, shorter intro, shortened before the climax, different ending

"A New Day Has Come" (Live Radio Remix version) - from Taking Chances World Tour, leaving the lyrics affair aside, the arrangement was different in comparison to 2002 performances, definitely unique

"A New Day Has Come" (Live acoustic version) - from Celine show

"A New Day Has Come" (Live string version) - from Live 2018

plus there is this magical sensational divine official soundcheck snippet from the final A New Day... show which I didn't count

Has any other song had a more colourful life? I don't think so...

17 versions in total (hehe same of number of songs on the album :giggle: )... 6 different live versions. Each unique and different

If only it was finally sung in full someday.... :innocent:

Which proves again the greatness of this album and the lead single... I had never regarded this song with that perspective, but I'm not surprised they've done so many versiones and arrangements with it

Look what an interesting edition I got today of this album. The disc has a bright effect, instead of the regular blue matte of all the rest of discs I've seen. It doesn't show much on the pictures but in reality it looks very nice!

Made in Malaysia! ^_^

No you're not, precisely because this song has that funky vibe that makes it unique in her catalogue, I appreciate and enjoy songs like this even more  And for this uniqueness it makes the variety of the ANDHC an even greater and richer album than the rest

I remember an interview Celine gave when “A New Day Has Come” was ready to drop in which she named “Rain, Tax” as one of the songs she was excited about. I wish she had taken a chance and performed the song live a few times. “Today” would have been the perfect show for it.

Got the Japanese pressing of the Collector's Edition of it today. Had to buy it (not opening it, tho) as its a bit bigger than the regular US pressing. Such a stunning album <3

The best edition of the album ever made, imo. Yes, the format is slightly different and bigger, and it shows more of the artwork.

I'm in love with it since I found it in 2010

No I didn't either, and I've always wondered what kind of remastering does a CD released in 2002 need after 6 years? It doesn't make sense but record labels LOVE to put those things on rereleases :hmm:

They'd better have added Coulda Woulda Shoulda and All Because Of You and it would have been a true Collector's Edition :pinch:

And the inclusion of Super Love made it really special. And Japan always makes the best physical albums.

I honestly don't buy these "remastered" thing they put on the album each time they re-release them (with few exceptions of course). It's basically the same sound quality. I mean, the mastering they did for the original album was topnotch already. So I don't think they actually retouched it for the 2008 reissue (bar the extended version of TGR).

Well, Super Love was already there on the original 2002 release but for US and Canada editions (don't know why), so it wasn't really a new addition, it had to be there!. Though inexplicably the EU and US editions didn't include it

Oh and thanks for reminding that about TGR, I didn't remember they actually included the extended version on the Collector's Edition too! I thought that was only a bonus found on the US Limited Edition (2002), but now that I've checked it is indeed included on the EU and the US pressings of the Collector's Edition too. Perfect!

Yeah that's basically what I meant. The US Collector's Edition felt incomplete as they still excluded SL in it. Not sure about the international versions of the Collector's Edition, tho. Anyone? So seeing it being present on the Japanese version makes it even better. <3

My only issue is the inclusion of HYEBIL mv. I mean, the song itself was recorded for ANDHC. But the mv kind of killed the essence of the reissue as it's practically a One Heart-era property. And I really don't want to associate the short-blond-hair-Celine to ANDHC. :giggle:

I love the bonus DVD that was included! That’s the way to do it! :)

The DVD menus are nicely done  And the inclusion of the HYEBIL videoclip was a good surprise too

I remember we had to fight for the addition of the GTSW videoclip though, initially they didn't include it on the original press release :innocent:

Ahhh it all started here  Interestingly, the cover artwork they used on the back is the full cover of the Limited Edition (2002) with Céline in the center of the picture, but it seems they went back to the original album cover eventually.

How much I enjoy reading this thread from page 1 and seeing that 10 years ago I had exactly the same passion for this album as today :-D It hasn't changed a bit, if only my obsession only has grown more :mdr: :P
