Shaun Posted January 21, 2008 at 10:18 PM Posted January 21, 2008 at 10:18 PM Can't believe the people at Sony would be happy with this, Celine's much hyped album down to #50 just 2 months after release. Where's the continued promo and more importantly where is that 2nd single? Who would ever think this would happen? Celine is certainly aware of this, but she is probably not that concerned anymore! If i may add.....Sony Music is no good for Celine! Time to find another label! looking good this week Quote

Time to find another label! looking good this week Celine is still doing pretty well. And if you are in Canada, I assume you KNOW that Celine was the biggest selling artist in Canada in 2007 (!!!) with over 500,000 albums sold!! And TAKING CHANCES was the #2 best selling album in Canada in 2007 and was in the Top 20 best selling albums in the World (and the album was released in November, yes - all this in around 7-8 weeks!!!)... I'm not sure what expectations you are talking about... But if we look at the overall picture, we see that she's still among the best selling artists even nowadays!!! Quote
RLAAMJR. Posted January 22, 2008 at 03:31 AM Posted January 22, 2008 at 03:31 AM Dear RLAAMJR., don't you notice that everyone is making fun of you when you post your ridiculous predictions what Celine's albums will sell? At first it was funny but now you're just annoying! Please do some research what CDs sell these days! --- not everyone though. Amen! We've been trying to tell him over and over again the same thing, but nothing seems to get inside his head I sure am at my wits end REALITY CHECK!! ---- you're facing the mirror. Quote
stillwater Posted January 22, 2008 at 03:36 AM Posted January 22, 2008 at 03:36 AM Okay....don't fret. I am talking more about U.S. sales here. She's released 3 (three) English albums in a row in the U.S. which categorically undersold... and with NO certified hit single at that! Like, when was the last time she had a chart topper --- I'm Your Angel? That's The Way It Is? These were ages ago. After her Vegas stint, as a fan, it would have been more gratifying to see Celine really come back with a big bang. To me, the reception so far is not that great, if not lukewarm. RLAAMJR. Posted January 22, 2008 at 06:19 AM Posted January 22, 2008 at 06:19 AM The World tour will help TC sell more. But a good single which eveyrbody will love and often played on radio station will really really help. Quote
