ashie Posted January 15, 2008 at 09:50 PM Posted January 15, 2008 at 09:50 PM We'll just have to wait for the billboard numbers but i'm guessing she sold about 10, 000 copies in the U.S this past week. Which isn't that bad. TV special coming up and a new single will = more sales. all she needs to do is sell +- 70 000 copies a month on Average till november and she'll have matched the sales of One Heart. That would be awesome. Quote

William2005 Posted January 15, 2008 at 11:05 PM Posted January 15, 2008 at 11:05 PM (edited) Well it's been a good run you guys. We should just pack up our bags and head out. I just wanna say thank you to everyone for making this forum pretty amazing before the demise of Celine's career came about. I will miss your jokes, all of the Celine chatting we do, but most of all I will miss all of the drama that this thread ensues. Poor Celine I hope she can handle that she isn't in the top 50! http://xs3.xoospace.com/myspace/graphics/19660.gif Life as we know it is over, I can see the light papa, I can see the light...... Black Kitten Posted January 16, 2008 at 02:28 AM Posted January 16, 2008 at 02:28 AM i love BLACKOUT, but not as much as i love TAKING CHANCES of course. but alicia keys' AS I AM is i think, overrated. i love the album, but the quality is weak overall. i have most of those albums on the chart. LONG ROAD OUT OF EDEN, AS I AM, NOEL, CARNIVAL RIDE, BLACKOUT, TAKING CHANCES, to name a few. right now, i don't really care about the TC sales, because the more concern i am about the sales, the more disappointed i become. im just enjoying the latest album. that's it. im fine with the sales, 2.5M is enough for me. i cant see this album selling around 8M plus. just enjoy this album guys!! stillwater Posted January 16, 2008 at 03:45 AM Posted January 16, 2008 at 03:45 AM Bottom line is TC album sales, to me, is a bit disappointing, especially in the U.S., so far. Considering how Celine worked hard doing the rounds promoting her record appearing in major, well-watched shows like Oprah, Ellen, Dancing With The Stars Finale, American Music Awards, etc., the result was still lukewarm sales and a comeback album that underperformed on the charts. I certainly hope the album will get a renewed life, what with the TC tour and a CBS Special coming up, and possibly a huge second hit single on top!!! Quote
deelicious07 Posted January 16, 2008 at 03:55 AM Posted January 16, 2008 at 03:55 AM Now, why the hell would anyone go out there and buy a Britney Spears album and try to support her sales? And please don't compare "Blackout" to "Taking Chances." That is trash (Britney) versus talent and class (Celine). Quote
