LuisMa Posted November 19, 2007 at 06:45 PM Posted November 19, 2007 at 06:45 PM I wonder whether HITS Daily Double is already including the sales from the Walmart special edition. For the past couple of weeks Walmart has reported the Eagles album sales at the very end of the tracking period. Hope this is the case with TC, so the number will be bigger after the sales data are finalized tomorrow. Quote

LuisMa Posted November 19, 2007 at 06:58 PM Posted November 19, 2007 at 06:58 PM I guess you mean that Billboard gets data from stores that are tracked during the week by Nielsen Soundscan, but additionally from stores that don't use scanning devices but do report to the magazine, which is a minimal percentage of total sales. But all the stores that are tracked by Hits Daily Double are then included in the Billboard final sales data. Quote

What do you mean by "doesn't use stores"? Hits Daily Double uses different stores then Billboard. Many of the same stores but not all. Hits uses Urban stores and Billboard not too much. I have seen a difference of 30,000 on the same ablum between Hits and Billboard. Quote http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46/tedxyz/Untitled-TrueColor-02.jpg

Can't be.....no way this is just the 30% of the chart tomorrow we will have 100% Wait, I thought the official U.S. Billboard numbers come in on Wednesday, not Tuesday. Up to what day do they count sales, tonight by 11:59 PM? I'm confused as to where all these numbers come from. I'm so disappointed. Is she really only going to sell 200K albums? Quote
William2005 Posted November 19, 2007 at 09:17 PM Posted November 19, 2007 at 09:17 PM Yes her total will be around 200,000 copies sold. Some fans are in denial and still think it will reach 300,000 but they are in for a huge shock tomorrow when she only pulls around 200,000. First week sales aren't everything (although they are important). Let's just pray that this is a steady seller and atleast reaches 1 million sold. Quote

Tal Posted November 19, 2007 at 09:57 PM Posted November 19, 2007 at 09:57 PM I dont necessarily care that she comes in #1, but I wanted her to at least beat Shitney's numbers. 200K is ridiculous Quote I live my life like a runawayI hide my dreams in a special placeI'm waiting here for my prince to comeTo save me from the darkness...
William2005 Posted November 19, 2007 at 10:05 PM Posted November 19, 2007 at 10:05 PM Now Alicia is expected to sell 720,000 copies opening week, and Celine will come in 3rd with 206,000 sales. We know this because hits are RARELY ever off on their estimates. They come REALLY close to the actual Billboard numbers. Quote
