isurrender Posted November 16, 2007 at 01:28 PM Posted November 16, 2007 at 01:28 PM When the album was released in Ireland? That's so weird.... I mean it's the official chart and it comes out on Friday. It means that sales from today and tomorrow aren't counted, right? So only sales from 4 days are taken into account... as on the previous friday/saturday, the album wasn't out yet. Quote
boyblackuk Posted November 16, 2007 at 01:29 PM Posted November 16, 2007 at 01:29 PM I thought tho the Irish Chart was the same as the UK and anounced on the Sunday. Can anybody tell me why it has charted after 4 days on sale rather than 7? Quote

CSCfan Posted November 16, 2007 at 02:58 PM Posted November 16, 2007 at 02:58 PM Albums get released in Ireland on a Friday, so sales are counted from Friday - Thursday. So it's only logical that the chart is compiled the next Friday. Quote »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»» MATHIAS ««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzPrxI0AIDY

beelee Posted November 16, 2007 at 05:05 PM Posted November 16, 2007 at 05:05 PM THANKGIVING WEEK IS RIGHT! Remember when the Top 10 contained nothing but records in six figures? Next week, for the first time in a dog’s age, it could happen again, so cross your fingers and pray to the God of Charts. Here’s how things are shaping up going into the weekend: #1: Alicia Keys (J/RMG), 600-625k; #2: Josh Groban (Reprise), 250-275k; #3: Eagles (self-release) 215-225k; #4: Celine Dion (Columbia), 195-205k; #5: Now 26 (EMM), 190-200k; #6: Garth Brooks (Pearl), 180-190k; #7: Carrie Underwood (Arista/RMG), 120-125k; #8: Jay-Z (Roc-A-Fella/IDJ), 120-125k; and fighting it out for #9 are Chris Brown (Jive/ZLG) and Led Zeppelin (Rhino/Atlantic), with both trending toward 100-105k. thevoice Posted November 16, 2007 at 05:28 PM Author Posted November 16, 2007 at 05:28 PM it's worse than we thought if it's true it means not ellen , not good morning america and not even oprah helped her...well she did the best she could . we can blame the single choice and her record label - atleast the album is superb Quote
smw Posted November 16, 2007 at 05:48 PM Posted November 16, 2007 at 05:48 PM WOW Alicia sold a butt load of records!!! That's really exciting for her. It's kind of ridiculous that Celine's not at least number two. I hope this isn't accurate.... Quote
boyblackuk Posted November 16, 2007 at 06:17 PM Posted November 16, 2007 at 06:17 PM ITS actually very sad, projected sales were a minimum of 250 000, I am not going to look now until the final figures but we have heard 3 different projections you dont know which to believe. I honestly beleived we would be No 2, it just shows that some wrong choices have been made with the single releases, releasing the album in such a strong week. I have heard that with all the presales and special tickets for the american tour it is going to sell out quickly and it leads you to think why arent these people buying the album. Sadly I dont think we are going to see much more promotion to push the album. If only I knew who to complain to I am from the UK and have followed the american charts for years and I read hitsdailydouble often and THEY ARE NEVER REALLY WRONG. They always get quite accurate sales projections Lets hope it sells more than 100 000 copies in france and canada and maybe we will get a big boost on the UWC Quote
Macaronie Posted November 16, 2007 at 06:18 PM Posted November 16, 2007 at 06:18 PM Remember a lot of fans are not liking this new kind of sound. Especially those snoozers who watch Oprah and other old-people shows where she came on. And another thing: download download download. Quote

William2005 Posted November 16, 2007 at 08:59 PM Posted November 16, 2007 at 08:59 PM Wow so Celine is looking at a #4 position with 200,000 copies sold behind 2 albums that have already been released (Josh Gorban and the Eagles)! No matter what you compare it to or how you look at it this album has flopped......hard. I honestly can't even see it selling 850,000 copies total in the US now. UGH! It makes me so mad. Quote
