"Taking Chances" ALBUM on the charts

Sorry if it has been posted, the results are in for Japan's Oricon chart. It's like Japan's Billboard...they have Soundscan in Japan, but if I remember correctly Oricon's numbers aren't identical to Soundscan, but they are not too much different. And as far as I understand, most people look at Oricon chart anyway.

 

"Taking Chances" debuts at #6 with 19,529 copies sold. The #1 album of the week is a Japanese album called "Pacific" and it sold 195,788 copies. Taking Chances is the 2nd highest foreign album on the chart. Backstreet Boys's new album is at #3 with 39,948 copies sold. They were at #1 last week, and the boys were promoting in Japan not long ago too.

u know i ahve to say about the album chart...

once Celine go to a particular country to do a concert next year the album will definately go up in the chart!!

so the album should going to no1 (again) next year in japan.. or whatever the country that she's going to!!!

She is at number 2 and number 7 on Itunes Canada this morning. Alicia keys is at number 1, but we have to know if both edition of the album sold together more than Alicia'S one...

The latest UK midweeks show Celine debuting at number 4 which is a superb result with only Leona, The Spice Girls and Westlife ahead of her.

Number 4 is superb given the competition in the UK this week I think you would agree.

 

Leona Lewis has the most anticipated album release I've ever seen in the UK, The Spice Girls comeback has been hyped up for months and Westlife always sell really well. I think #4 is a super achievement for Celine. Take out Leona and The Spice Girls and think about where she could've charted on a "normal" week.
