If I have to wait another 6 months for new Celine, then if it's filled with maximum potential, it'll be WELL worth the wait. Is she really working with Ben Moody?

I really hope we get a good 16-track album, like Falling into you, Let's talk about love and A new day has come.

What a misconception! FIY had 14 tracks in the US and 75% of it were covers. -_- It's being hailed as the best album in English and it's not the longest one - it's tight and it's well made. NOT the length of an album decides whether it's good or not.

Well it had 16 tracks in Europe and rest of the world, so it's not misconception from that point of view. Even though I agree about alot of covers and all :hmm:

I'm glad they held off and included To Love You More on the Let's Talk About Love album for its English release.

 

And I didn't really miss Natural Woman. Maybe because I already had it on the Carole King tribue album.

The other song was Your Light, not To Love You More.

I wouldn't mind about covers. She doesn't write her songs, so it won't really matter if they're old or new as long as they are good.

But didn't To Love You More appear on some release of Falling Into You?? I might have just made it up in my head.

Could be the Japanese version, it appeared first on Japanese version of The Colour Of My Love and then on European version of Live A Paris. So in fact there are four songs that weren't on the stripped down 14-track version : Natural Woman, Your Light, Sola Otra Vez and To Love You More

well TLYM was include in aisan version of FIY....

and all the version of Live A paris

and u know canadian version of FIY is different to US version

also Japanese version is different to asian version which include your light instead of natural woman

 

there's too many versions............hahaha

 

anyway any news about the new album?

Well, my edition of FIY has 16 tracks and I love it. Wether it's cover songs or any other songs, as long as it's Celine singing them I'm happy.

Good God! Hell to the naw!!!!!!!!! :wacko: :wacko: :wacko: :wacko: :wacko: :blink: ANDHC was at least 1 year TOO LATE. If she wanted to go with the flow so badly she should have recorded it in 1999 or 2000!

 

With this release she is approaching the hottest producers out there. You have to pay atention that I am not using "hot" in a good way since I don't think she needs to prove herself to anyone. Evidently I'm wrong and she's still searching ways to please Sony and the dramatic decrease in album sales lately in music. I truly hope she won't embarass herself like she did with OH and on ANDHC.

sadly ANDHC and OH were quite outdated (a year at least, i hate to agree with the reincarnation of evil)and their quality was lower than in her previous albums.Still i haven't stopped listening to ANDHC since 2002.listening to the same cd for 5 years, that's something...things would have been so much better if different singles were released, some tracks got swapped between the 2 albums and some tracks were just deleted...

 

BUT its not sony she wants to please...its her ambition and appetite for popularity and reaching new heights.And as long as she is the business she needs to prove herself everyday like every other professional does, otherwise she should stay at home and pick her own potatoes, tomatoes whatever

 

Celine loves singing and loves many music genres, she's not a snob some ppl want to think of her

There is nothing wrong with ANDHC. It's a great album. I agree the choice for single releases was not very good, but oh well what's done is done. OH was never meant to be anything but a "gift" to the fans for some additional songs that were recorded for the ANDHC CD plus IDAN to promote Chrysler and the AND show. I like both CDs but ANDHC is one of my favorites. I love a lot of songs on this CD. OH I also love a lot of songs on it. As always it's just a matter of opinion!

A New Day Has Come is a "nice" album. It did what it needed to do, and I like it.

 

One Heart is sloppy. There are some nice songs, but overall it's just not one that I'd share with anyone. But I'm grateful to have it, and I enjoy it from time to time.

I agree with you to a certain degree when you say she's trying to please Sony. But by you making the remark, "ANDHC was at least 1 year TOO LATE," are you implying that Celine should have released it earlier so that she could a part of what the entertainment industry considered to be popular? Or maybe she wanted to go along with the flow of mindless pop divas? Wouldn't that mean that there would be a high chance that she'd get lost in the crowd with all the other artist who were looking for popularity?

 

And at the risk of sounding old fashion, this was CELINE's music. We just had the opportunity to experience what she was feeling at the moment. If it's believed that there are only a few albums where Celine truly recorded the music SHE wanted to record, and not Sony, the pop industry, etc., then this would be one of those albums. And ANDHC was most certainly NOT an embarrassment to Celine.

Hasn't Celine said that she never pick songs because they will probably make a hit or just because that type of song is hot right now?

She picks her songs from what she likes and songs that she can stand for, and not beacuse she thinks it will make a hit...
