i'm not that happy about it cause it seems like there is not going to be a concept again

she just took some songs and recorded it...i wish they could take more seriously her english recordings for a change .

Not likely....she was in New York & Montreal during most of her break, so she recorded the songs in either of those places..

 

And indeed, recorded does not mean it's definately on the album, especially in the current situation.

well she didn't say it's all english songs

u see 2 duets, a cause (2 version) ...and left 2 or 3 songs

I'd really like to see Celine expand her horizons with this next album. I mean, it sounds like there's a lot of work going into this, and we could end up with a very interesting collection of music. This is kind of what I'm anticipating:

2-3 Ben Moody songs (the new goth/emo trend)

2 or so RnB songs (something like RT, THLAL, hopefully better)

2-3 English translation of D'elles (she did it with D'eux and Falling Into You, chances are she'll do it again)

3-4 or so power ballads (typical of Celine)

2-3 of those weird, and unexpected songs (Reveal, RTD, Nature Boy, this may include the Annie Lennox thing)

1 or so old songs

1 really old french song, translated into a different language (maybe)

 

I'm just really hoping that this is not a flop, and that it is really good, and it brings back the old Celine with a new twist. This could potentially be her best album in a while.

well i think that it could be similar to FIY as having maybe some songs translated from D'elles... different kinds of songs.... maybe some powerful ballads etc...

I swear this album HAS to be good especially considering we don't know anything about it and it should be a great and POSITIVE surprise for us. Apart from that it is always unfortunate for Céline to release a French and an English album the same year as she always reaises the quality bar which pretty much lets the English ones look like sad piles of Polish homophobic potatos.

I'd definately like something like FIY. It's my favorite Celine album.

 

Not necessarily something that sounds like FIY, but something of that quality. Every songo n the album is fnatastic. I rarely skip it. There's no filler, and it flows so well. She's got some different styles going on, but it's so cohesive.

Yuck. I'm not a huge fan of All The Way. I think most of the new tracks were just filler, and not very good.

I feel like the new songs recorded for All The Way were better than some of those recorded for Let's Talk About Love. The only reason that album was a smash was because of My Heart Will Go On--it had nothing on Falling Into You. Yeah, there were some golden gems on it, but not enough hits to make it a smash of its own without MHWGO.

 

Anyway--all I can hope for with this album is that it's a solid made, well thought out, and well done collection of songs. It would be wonderful if the critics likes it...because that's more important at this point than the general public. So let's keep hoping! I hope they take their sweet time to make it the best it can possibly be.

FIY, ATW, LTAL....we're talking about Celine's greatest albums.....I'd love to hear something like that in the upcoming Cd's...it would be terrific!!!

I want something new and fresh, but I want it to have that spark, and flow of the previous albums.

Well there's nothing more exciting than the anticipation of a new Celine album!! What will the songs be like? How will her voice sound? Will she do more uptempo songs? More ballads? Will she duet with anyone? Which writers will she use? Which producers?
