I understand that maybe you like to feel that Céline is perfect in every way, like a god, because of an intense passion, and to believe that absolutely everything happens randomly. But all artists have a large team behind them that measures everything and advises the artist. Honestly, it makes me uncomfortable that there are already adults here (at least judging by some users’ profiles) who believe that Céline posts whenever she feels like it, or that she releases albums on whatever date first comes to mind, etc.

I don’t know if some people fail to understand that in the music business everything is planned. For that reason, Céline and Sony hire publicists, managers, mathematicians who optimize mathematical models for production costs of albums, etc. Nothing is left to chance. In fact, I myself have worked in one of those roles for another artist.

Her team hasn’t properly identified a unique opportunity, which is to loudly announce that Céline is back, that she has returned. She could have released a catchy single that would have been a radio hit; instead, the one she released is a simple, calm and understated track. Moreover, she doesn’t even appear in the music video itself, which greatly reduces interest and engagement from the general public, thereby losing views and engagement on YouTube and affecting its positioning.

There will still be people here who think that the old videos on her official YouTube channel are remastered by Céline herself on her computer and uploaded at any time she feels like it, whenever she is bored. She has a professional team behind her that remasters the videos—and I know this because someone from her own team told me.

As for where I got information about Thalía’s duet, I have an official list of what is in her vault.

I think people are smart enough to think that Celine wasn’t the one who remastered her own videos and uploaded it. Celine stated many times she didn’t understand how technology work, let alone remastering a video. And I think saying you have an official list of what is in her vault doesn’t actually proof your own argument. At least tell us the title, the writers, producer, and when it was recorded.

Again, I’m not saying that you’re not allowed to dislike the song because everyone has their own taste. But the way you keep shoving the same argument about “her team’s business strategy failure”, “how people in Spain react to the song”, and how the song sounds bland to you is getting annoying and it’s ruining the celebration of the song.

*positive thoughts, positive thoughts, positive thoughts*

This “Her team fails to understand business strategy” topic is getting tiring. I’d rather stick to the new song :)

For me the song takes me to a different universe… it speaks about living life to the fullest! I’m extremely happy with it, I think where people went wrong was THEY assumed Celine would come back with some belting and showing us she’s capable of still hitting the notes, and I think had this been an English song/ballad that would be expected but in French, she truly went back to her roots, almost as if it was a true RESET. A back to basics moment.

If you’re a fan of Celine because of TPOL or MHWGO then you won’t truly understand the intention of the goal they had. This was a tribute to the fans who have been there since the beginning and now that I think of it THAT way it truly was the perfect way to mark her return.

I think everybody who wants powerhouse Celine needs to chill for a moment, I think she will still deliver those moments too but at a more appropriate time. Just like an artist needs to know their audience it’s a two way street, the audience needs to know the artist too. And this is CÈLINE, not CELINE DION.

I personally won't mind in a slightest if Celine never belts again. Just thought the music production would perhaps be "richer" and melody not the same as every other JJG balad.

But then again, I can understand this approach of creating nostalgic homage to her past too.

This. The same user often claimed that they have a huge amount stuff related to Celine and now claimed to have an official list of Celine’s unreleased songs. I’d love a proof of it by telling us the titles and from which albums they were intended. Because so many users here often claim such a thing but never be able to proof it.

The lyric video is currently at 928k. It'll surpass the 1m mark within the next hours. Great staying power! I will be able to estimate the daily figure later today.

I created a Spotify playlist dedicated to the collaboration of Celine and JJG. I included songs that I like and find somewhat similar to 'Dansons' either musically of lyrically.

  1. Dansons
  2. Encore Un Soir
  3. Les Derniers Seront Les Premiers
  4. La Memoire D'Abraham
  5. J'attendais
  6. Je Chanterai
  7. On Ne Change Pas
  8. Papillon
  9. L'abandon
  10. Sur Le Meme Bateau
  11. S'il Suffisait D'aimer
  12. J'irai Ou Tu Iras
  13. Je Sais Pas
  14. Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore

I am having it on repeat. Beautiful music 🥰

Saturdays and Sundays are the lowest streamed days of the week. Music streaming volume usually decline on weekends. But 50% decline still is kinda rough but I mean what do we expect, this song will probably get the Flying on My Own treatment; release it as a "gift to fans" then leave it". Hopefully, the song performs better amd better on weekdays until the end of tracking week (particularly in France) to increase the songs chances of reaching Top 15 in France.

Yes, the first day involved a double boost 1) Being Friday 2) being the debut day - it lost both of these today so it's normal. As long as it stays at 250k+ streams all is good.

On YT the lyric video gained approximately 400k views on its second day - this is a really good outcome!

This track still feels like a warm hug from Céline herself, to describe it in a picture:
