Oh come on, Courage and Love Again is her most mature songs by now, closely followed by Ashes

When I heard the song on thursday, I was reminded of her performance of Winter Song a few years back for the holidays. It is the same softness in her voice, filled with even more emotion. If the recording of Love Again did take place last October, then it’s even more beautiful than I think it already is.

How anyone could've been happy with "Superwoman" is beyond me. They finished recording that and everyone thought "yup that's great release it." Wow.

The only two studio recordings I have hated were ''Superwoman'' and the studio version of ''The Show Must Go On''. I am still not sure as to what it was they were thinking.

Confirmation the title "love again" was recorded at the end of last year so during Celine's disease

Now at least we know her voice is still there! I still have a small hope she will hopefully return to the stage. I want her to rest, recooperate and heal first, don’t rush back Céline! We don’t need a big elaborate production, we just want you front and center!

The TSMGO recording is the biggest travesty ever- so many epic live performances, such a powerful, epic song that embodies Celine that she does so confidently and they removed every atom of feeling and made it a cheap, autotuned mess.

Yes, the vocals were very strained. Every live/pre-recorded performance was far superior to this studio version.

When I first heard this song, that was the first time I've cried with a song... I don't know how to explain...

I'm not even a natural english speaker, and yet I could feel every beat of emotion she delivered...

Her soft voice is so underrated, but it's one of the best parts of her technique for me...

And now knowing that she recorded it last year... OMG... it gives hope, gives joy, gives a feeling of thankfulness...

Superwoman is absolutely atrocious. I tried to give it another chance a few weeks back but it’s just awful awful. Her pronunciation is the worst I’ve ever heard. And the song itself is just forgettable.

It felt like it was a last minute decision to record and release so she was rushed in studio and then fasted tracked to be released. They could have saved themselves all those headaches just by releasing the live version of the Vegas show.

I’d say you’re about right….

 

I love the song because it feels so real and true, and combined with the clean and clear vocals is amazing. I know it’s not the big belting song thats classic Celine but honestly even tho it’s 2023 this song kinda felt classic Celine to me again, it’s been so many years and I’ve missed the polished vocals. I couldn’t really embrace the bedroom/ dry vocals… I know Celine wanted an evolution to try and stay current with the times but it shouldn’t come at the cost of losing what made Celine, Celine. The style of song can change but i loved Celine for her polished vocals… if I wanted Sia or Adele I would go to their music. I think time and time again, it shows the public also prefers that kind of sound from Celine. I would’ve been one thing if she begin singing in that style because she wasn’t capable of the flawless vocals anymore but we know that’s not the case.

 

“Love again” isn’t about the bigness it’s about emotion and I think it’s perfect.

Anyways, I hope this technique of voice is the same on the 4 other new songs that we are getting, I

And I hope we get at least one big show stopping “BOMBASTIC” belting ballad as well as a new uptempo.

I don't care if people like or don't like the song. The song reflects the situation of Céline and so many people. It's incredible when everything is so fragile including for her, she still goes on and she marks a step on her career, she is an actress on a film, finaly ! Maybe 10 years ago, this would not be my favourite, but now with everything that is going on with Celine, and around the world, I think this song is perfect.

 

Like how Celine says in the beginning of the video, "let's have a little chat." This song is the kind of heart warming chat when someone gives you an geinune advice with encouraging words.

 

And she did just that in the perfect tone and vocal clarity. No more and no less. Thank you Celine.

I've listened to the song now 10+ times now. Similar to the Courage album, it's a grower. I do find it's a bit of an earworm too, as I've had the melody in my head the last few mornings I've woken up. The vocal delivery is definitely sincere and authentic, and the song lyrics really would resonate with anyone who's gone through hardship, felt hopeless, etc. Initially I had hoped the song would open up a bit more, similar to how "Falling in Love Again" does towards the end but at this point I'm quite pleased with the song as is.

 

Lyrically, this follows the maturity and emotional resonance we have with Courage. Unlike so many here who want to sh** on Courage, it's become my #1 English Celine album and that's coming from a Falling Into You era fan. It's just got substance and connection to Celine's life, with superb production values and tracks with lyrical maturity. I also feel the album in a way I don't feel her previous ones.

 

To me, Love Again is advancing the evolution that started with Courage and I'm here and excited for it.
