Honestly this song is so boring and bland. Cheesy lyrics and production, no climax. Can't believe so many people are eating it up.

Everyone has different tastes.

I'm truly obsessed with the song, it really hits different, and the silent changes from the piano to the guitar to the heartbeat are sublime.... I didn't have this kind of connection with Recovering for example i just couldn't relate to the emotion with that one

Interesting that "Nick Jonas" is the very first hashtag on the Youtube video lol.

She is not even in Top 500 anymore. :crybaby:

Not even in her top 10 most streamed yesterday 😭😭 I expected 200k-300k, the least I could think 🙄

Sounds like someone needs to learn to "love again" :sofunny:

In all seriousness, I am not surprised many people don't like the song - it's a far cry from her old material. I agree, it's very "one-note" in the sense that it goes really nowhere and does nothing special, but there is still a quality about it that I like that was missing from her most recent work. Primarily clear pronunciation, clean enunciation, no vocal fry or "Sia" voice, and most importantly I think she it captured strong emotive qualities that were absent in, say, the recording of "For the Lover I Lost". I would love to know if this is because of the producers she worked with, pressure from Sony to sound like "the old Céline", or if it was a personal choice on her own part.

I think Sony played a huge part too. Because this time its not just a mere Celine Dion album that wouldn't top anywhere amd would be forgotten after few months, its a whole film with producers and other actors, that they want to hit box office. So yeah, maybe there was pressure from Sony.

But at the same time, they are not doing any promo for the song. Neither TC, nor Sony. Not even Love Again movie account

D’après cet article, une des 5 chansons inédites de l’album a été enregistré dernièrement

Donc love again ou pas?

According to this article, one of the 5 new songs on the album was recently recorded

Aldo love again or not?

Reading this, I was thinking that « Love Again » could be the one that was recorded recently and that would explain why they pushed the release date of the movie to may in the first place and why they renamed the movie at the last minute. Maybe the song came to them quite late and they didn’t know if Celine would be able to record it.

Vocally-wise, the high pitch and the way she sings it may fit her condition. Remember when she had troubles with her health and voice on tour or in Vegas, she has always explained that she had no problems in the highs and that even her speaking voice was kind of stuck in the highs (and we noticed that in recent years). Her interpretation makes me think she’s very careful and tries not to « harm » herself. But I might overthink it.

That is a theory. Maybe I’m totally wrong but I wanted to share it with you guys.

I really love the song and I think the softness that comes from it is absolute bliss.

Doing better than most of her videos at this point

They can’t do much promo about the actual song without Celine physically appearing or singing it somewhere, as she normally would have done with a new single.

We’ve got the song. Enjoy it!

Well you don’t have to listen to it if you think it’s boring, like someone said before, everyone has different taste. :)

Interesting,

I would love to know how was her condition back then..was it at a beginning stage or was it at a "getting better" stage?

Moreover, is this why we waited for so long for a clear message from Celine? Was she getting better and therefore decided to tell us about her disease?

I started my morning listening this song. It's the fifth time I've listened to it and I love it more and more. Céline's soul is in it, very soft, emotional, touching. For me it has been like a catharsis since the first I heard it. The reason I haven't listened to it more often is just because I needed to assimilate and manage my emotions. When you've had experiences throughout your life and suddenly this song of your idol comes along and "projects your life" with her beautiful voice... There are no words, I'm just grateful, I feel lucky and proud to be her fan. Céline will always be my "partner in my whole life"

Very soon we will be able to enjoy her again, she will be stronger than ever before and I will be ready to give her all the love she deserves.

After you wrote about her diagnosis announcement one week before it came out, I now read this as a hint for her comeback.

Wow, thanks for that!

Remember that around September there was a lot of chatter of Céline being back at 95%, picking outfits for Vegas, even rehearsing (according to Claudette). What if that was true and she had a relapse? Or if the diagnosis made her realize that despite her efforts and despite good moments that were mistaken for recovery, she wouldn't be back to 100%?

Just knowing that it was recorded so recently makes it even more special ❤️

How anyone could’ve been happy with “Superwoman” is beyond me. They finished recording that and everyone thought “yup that’s great release it.” Wow.

Confirmation the title "love again" was recorded at the end of last year so during Celine's disease

This would also explain the title changes we’ve had for the movie. Once they got the song and recorded it they most likely thought it was a more fitting title than the previous ones.

90% of these songs are much better than Love Again. Not a very good argument lol.

And yet 90% of them were never released as singles/performed - the epitome of filler. :giggle:
