Yeah my guess is that AND... was renewed for longer than they'd imagined. And releasing a live show on a DVD, while it's still planned to play for years to come, ain't exactly a smart business move!

 

it would have been great though, if the 2004 show was part of a special AND... collector's edition!

maybe that was the real reason and they just found an excuse in telling us the hair story, because they already announced the DVD with the live CD and had to find a way to tell the fans that they will not be getting at DVD after all

Also what I took from Hoda saying she “Almost died” was it had to do with the medicine she’s taking or it’s side effects.

That's what my first thought was also about

 

SPS can be so severe that it affects breathing

 

I also think it can be the reason that made them straight away cancel all shows of the new residency for 3 months

 

I remember we here were all wondering why they canceled rather than just postponed shows for so long

 

If Celine literally collapsed, that would explain it all

What does an “all out crisis” even mean? I have an “all out crisis” every Monday.

 

I don't know, it's a verbatim quote - but the source is a tabloid. So perhaps someone made up a dramatic news. Perhaps "someone heard something" and came up with the rest. And perhaps the difference between her crisis at the time and your weekly one is like the difference between "I'll kill myself" in a moment of anger and actual suicide.

Agreed! Plus IMO on the 2003 DVD her hair style wasn't even that bad and she wasn't looking 20 years older than her actual age, to me her ''Marilyn Monroe'' hairstyle from late 2003 was actually way better than the ''Ellen'' hairstyle from the March 2003 CBS TV Special.

 

 

This hair wasn’t good either. So over processed with the bleach and it just looked like cotton candy. The only times the short blonde hair looked good were the OH and HYEBIL videos, and when she was on The Tonight Show. Other than that…meh. When they added the extensions for the Nevada Ballet Woman of the Year award, I thought it looked nice, and also for the Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony. But a handful of times does not make for a good hair era. The blonde was a flop.
