Agreed. Nowhere in the video does it say what this video is about. It needs to have the final scene show exactly what the petition is all about, and/or have the request sprinkled throughout the video. It's a good start, but it's not clear cut enough. The editing is nice, though. I agree with that.

 

This was an unsolicited video made by one of our followers to create excitement. It is not an “official” video, but it does help spread the word about the movement and directs anyone who is interested to our account via our social media handles. If you follow the @SayYesCeline account you will (soon) see the official video that we are working on. Right now we are asking fans to post videos explaining why they want to see these concerts released officially; once we have those videos and have a chance to edit them , we will release the full video and send it off to the decision makers!

In my opinion Celine's fans are as succesful in social media as Celine herself so I would rather concentrate on preparing serious proposals with great visual content and send it out than to fight for social media exposure among general public who will not take part. Celine is not an Internet singer and only few People stream her do if she and her management can't change we will not be able either. It is worth trying but I do not expect much

I would suggest writing direct emails to their official address (all Sony branches and relevant representatives, as well as Feeling Productions and Celines Comanagement) while posting our videos simultaneously everywhere all the time and tagging Sony and Celine in every possible way. Also, attach the video (or links) to the emails. Let fans comment under the videos and request material in those comments. That’s the more effective path IMO

But these "direct emails" go to intern staff or staff way below the pay grade to actually get anything approved. Those emails are just going to be deleted. And tagging Sony and Celine on social media will reach the same people. No one who makes the big bucks pays attention to that stuff - they pay people to do that.

One thing I know, you have to have a plan to get to bigwigs at companies, not the underlings who run social media pages and answer general email addresses. That's just spending a lot of time and effort for a fruitless endeavor. I can't wrap my head around why anyone would want to waste their time and energy on something that won't work. But, ya know, you do you. If you've got extra time to shout at windmills, go for it! Don't get upset with people for pointing at to you that you're shouting at the windmills, however. You're just being angry at people for providing you facts.

“Let’s not focus on other fans approval.” That sums up the likelihood of this thing actually taking flight. If you’re not going to get approval from the fans, who the heck is going to sign your petition? President Joe Biden? Pee Wee Herman? The ghost of Steve Irwin? Now that I know my approval ain’t needed, I’ll make sure to not sign the petition.

I think the vast majority of fans would sign a petition for some lockdown release without thinking. 90% probably. It’s about getting those 90% to share to their networks and then we all go from there.

 

It’s the 10% who are naysayers to everything— trying to convince them makes the campaign lose focus on the achievable, more important mission. That’s what they were trying to say, not that you go F off.

 

If you love for this to happen, then you should sign!

I understand it and, truthfully, it's much likely closer to what will happen in the end than the chances of a small group of fans working hard to try to make a release happen. Let's face it, it is unlikely.

- Venues where the tours took place, as well as the venues' sponsors (if any)

- Songwriters and producers for each and every song that was performed, whether it was eventually cut or not

- Production companies to see who might even be interested in doing this

- Sony Records

- YouTube

- Pepe (maybe...maaaaaaybe)

Honestly, I don't think the mods are even listening anymore. I asked to have the title of this topic changed to remove the word "DVD" weeks ago and I never got a response.

 

Yes I do think it is a GREAT idea to also emphasize digital downloads/streaming platforms as well as DVDs... In fact I feel that digital downloads/streaming platforms might fare MUCH BETTER than DVDs! (even though yes there are still people out there who still buy DVDs & other physical content such as CDs, CD-Roms, paperback books, etc, like somebody else has said on this very forum recently, physical content/non-digital entertainment will NEVER completely die out even in this super technical-advanced world!)

 

And one of the best example of digital streaming that might work very well in our situation: NETFLIX

 

I am a huge watcher of various Netflix content, especially documentaries & concerts! In the months since this pandemic started, there has been a HUGE overflow of Netflix concerts & documentaries, & in between working & taking care of my kids & household lol, I like to watch alot of Netflix concerts & docus, & most of them are GREAT!

 

So I think we should emphasize the streaming platforms, especially NETFLIX, as it is SO popular with millions of people nowadays (since alot more people, such as myself and my family, have ditched cable within the last few years & are using more streaming & digital platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon, I-Tunes, Google Play, Youtube, Apple TV, etc) Again just more of my .2 cents lol, use it as you may wish **blink blink** 😉😊

Thank you for that list! We have all of these on our radar already, but we've intentionally not contacted anyone just yet... We've been waiting for our video argument to be complete and for more fans to sign the petition. We have been steadily creating content to share in hopes of gaining more followers and supporters on our social media accounts, and we've been pretty successful our first few weeks.

 

We're stalled a bit right now, I think because people are waiting to hear what our plan of attack is... We are addressing that issue this coming week and we will be ready to strike when/if there is an announcement about the tour. Of course, I would love to say we have thousands and thousands of fans on our side already, but we don't. But that is not stopping us yet. There is still a whole month until Céline's birthday, and at the very least we'll be emailing those VIP contacts by that date with our video and a short letter explaining why everyone (themselves included) would benefit from a nice PR move like releasing something to please the fans.

One of our biggest challenges has been deciding how to present this (both to the fans and to Sony/TC). If we are too narrow, we will get a No; if we are too broad, we will get something less than satisfactory. So we want to word our request in a way that leave them open to decide what is the most profitable method of release.

Since we don't have the phone numbers of the bigwigs to present this idea, we will stick with the underlings.

It will be noticed anyways. If there comes something out if it, yeaahh happy dance.

If not, well we did what we thought was best and what was in our possibilities.

 

There are a few fans with the right connections, but some of the fans are just too stubborn or full of themselves for having those connections that they won't want to help.

So this plan, this campaign is the best we can do.

 

You don't want something to be released? That's fine, just don't trash our ideas and dreams for something that might could happen.

What we don't need for every new step this campaign is taking is posts full of negativity.

Of course these things get noticed! Celine’s team is very small anyway, and Feelings Production team is very small. May i also add that the Canadian branches and divisions of all these companies are much smaller and much more Celine-friendly and Celine-obsessed than US ones.

 

Fan campaigns are a brilliant and powerful idea. They do work. You get as much as you put in.

Exactly, I agree 100%... That is why I mentioned about Netflix (& their recent popularity in concerts & documentaries these days,) & there has been mentioning on this forum recently about other performers, such as the band Queen (I am sooo NOT getting into the argument about the difference between Freddie Mercury/without Freddie, because either way the success of the recent concerts & documentaries about them, as well as the success of the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody" a few years ago proves they are STILL a very popular band! & yes I am also a huge Queen fan as well, I grew up on their music & grew up on classic rock music in general!) But anyway...

 

So what I have seen of your campaign looks very good so far & I am really glad to hear that you all are getting lots of support on social media! (I wish I could help you all with the social media part, but unfortunately I am no longer using social media, its a long story, dont really feel like discussing about it right now,) but i did sign the petition & shared it with a few of my friends through text messaging... & like you said, there needs to be a variety of platforms offered to Team Celine & Sony, including both DVDs & digital downloads/streaming platforms, I am hoping & praying that all of this will work out great & that SOMETHING will get released from Celines vault @ some point, even if its only one concert! 🙏🤞

Yes I agree with this as well, about contacting members of Celines band, songwriters, producers, Caesars Palace executives, Sony Music executives, numerous venue executives, etc... & again the vast majority of these people & companies have social media profiles &/or email addresses for contact...

 

& I also agree with you about bugging RC, Eddy, & Nelson... No matter who we try to contact/share this campaign with, I think that is totally WRONG to bug celines kids @ all! & not to sound mean towards anybody in particular, but I think that is the reasons why RC, Eddy, & Nelson do NOT have their social media profiles public for the masses to view or comment on because of many Celine fans (again I am not accusing anybody on this forum or anybody in particular of this,) bugging the heck out of the boys in the past! We do need to respect Celines children, as they are still her children @ the end of the day & they could not help us with this campaign anyway... So the boys need to left alone during all this! But I do agree with trying to contact everybody you listed in your post, great idea! 🙏😊
