Say Yes Celine: Fan campaign for an unreleased show!

Hey everybody, as we mentioned in the CWT thread, this topic's been created specifically to discuss which recent show we'll ask Céline's team to release (on DVD / Blu-Ray / online streaming...).

 

Please, if you don't want to participate on the initiative simply ignore this topic. If you do, please vote on the poll for the show you'd like the team to share.

 

Once we'll have a clear winner, I think we could start thinking of moving on to the next step

For me it just HAS to be the Hyde Park show. Yes, it may not have the most interesting set list out of the shows above but the atmosphere was unbeatable. Celine was on fire that night.

For me, If they will release the 2nd residency show in DVD. I’ll pick the 2011-2014 because it’s the most polished show and her voice is so strong in that era.

As much as I love the original 2011-2014 "Celine", my vote goes to the 2017 tour. We know for sure that shows in London and Paris were professionally filmed, so they can give no excuses

Celine 2011 - 2014 this show was top class! Ok it might have had a bit too much covers, but if fitted the theme. Plus the Bond Medley, HDYKTMP and the MJ medley were amazing! wub2:

 

Live 2016 - I don't think Céline has ever surprised us this much with the setlist. And I don't think this ever will. This show is the BEST she has ever done: heartfelt, meaningful and full of surprises. Even if we got this as audio only, would make me sooo happy!

 

Live 2017 - Best English setlist since the FIY tour probably. Hits, new songs (Recovering, HDAMLF, Ashes) and rare songs (TCOML, RTD, LIAWN). And the beautiful Love Of My Live... this show had it all and she was on fire every night!

I choose Vegas 2011-2014 as the show was amazing during this period.

 

The holograms, walking through the audience and the set lists were pretty cool and my second choice is Hyde park.

Can we delete the final year version? We already have Tokyo for that and it's truly not that spectacular setlist wise.

As amazing as the 2017 mini tour was in regards to setlist I dont think visually it warrants to be a dvd, visually it wasn’t that amazing and there was no real props or moving around of anyone or anything on stage.

 

Some might say the same for Hyde Park, but this was a huge festival, the costumes, the atmosphere and the crowd and let’s face it they released the French outdoor show she done a few years back on dvd so why not this one

Although the 2017 tour and BST Hyde Park-concert would appeal a larger audience, the 2016 concerts were just magical. The full orchestra, the setlist... So I'd love to see a DVD or online movie of that!

I would love to have her Montreal 2016 shows. I have never in my life Celine any better and it was such an emotional night for everyone in the audience. Tears in everyone' eyes 3h20 as an intro was haunting. "Encore un soir" was an amazing opening number - and hearing her actually perform songs from 1 fille & 4 types was just amazing. I voted for all of them hahahah. I would also add, A l'Olympia from 1994, Millenium Concert from 99/00, and an english one from LTAL tour in 98/99

Kylie Minogue seemed to have no problem with her "Anti Tour" format. She's still just as big today (if not bigger). I see more about her in music news now than I do Celine. Sometimes, letting real artistry dictate the direction one goes instead of commercialistic hollowness sets the stage for true greatness.

The 2 nights I saw the show were just magical. I often think it would be beyond amazing to have the 2016 tour. A rare occurrence where I would have changed nothing. It was perfect.

I really need the residency 2011-2014 that was my first time ever seeing Celine live. At the end of the day though I will take anything.

 

Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion but I will say the final year's setlist was amazing in person (I got to see it while it was being filmed and it looked very different then it did with Tokyo) Side note general fans and even fans who don't know where to look have not seen Tokyo so we have also need to remember that. But I do agree with you the original residency was amazing tbh I'd choose all if I could!

I wonder if anyone bought the Unison VHS when it came out, since only one of the songs had any commercial success ... Or TCOML Concert, since it contained sooooo many new songs ... And Live à Paris was mostly new songs and covers ...

 

The point I’m obviously making is that new/obscure songs are only new/obscure until you breathe life into them and give them a chance to live.

 

I’m so tired of DVDs with the same old arrangements of BCYLM, TPOL, IACBTMN, LCMM, MHWGO and, at this point, RDMH. Give it a rest, girlfriend!

 

My votes go to 2016-17. Ideally, a double disc of 2017 with one disc French, one disc Anglo. Her voice was the best it’s been in a long time, the setlist was fresh, and I loved her outfits (with the single exception of that tacky, white, asymmetrical number).

 

The 2016 tour was also wonderfully intimate and carries a lot of significance for Céline (and her devoted fans). If I had to pick one I’d say Montréal - we don’t have any official releases from Montréal, do we?

She has a terrible voice.. sounds like a chipmunk on helium.... great songs but that bloody voice... her fans obviously don’t demand or except much from her except from a drunken dance on a dance floor with a catchy dance routine or a go on a karaoke machine when bladdered, bless her... but she seems to get by which is incredible... each to their own.

 

Celine is a legend and a completely different level and different class and her label and fans except more of her. Maybe 2016-2017 could be a bonus CD

I agree with this, a combo 2 disc release of 2016-French show with a 2017-English show would be perfect. And add Hyde Park as a separate release because it had such great vibe from the audience plus a beautiful sunset over that huge crowd, vocals (the ending to The Reason 😍), two new songs never featured on an official concert released globally, and she looked amazing.

 

My point being that I am of the opinion we don't need to ask for just one show. A top 3 would be good. Or make the petition of a 2016/2017 combination like you suggested, a two in one.
