It seems like they don't want to help or don't care.

Maybe because it's not their brilliant idea.

I don't give up , every day I share it to a new place , either in french or english , just chiped a 5$ and still waiting for the red head to answer me on facebook , it would make a big difference if they could share it on their fb for the +60000 followers but unfortunately they only answered me once in my life lol when I shared with them a fashion music video I made for Celine but they told me they wouldn't share it because they want to be the source (exclusive) but they were more loose on twitter .

I think it'd be great if we got one of the Celine accounts with tons of followers to ping them?

I always thought that all Celine fan accounts will join the compaign, because its in our all interest. It's weird that they're hesitant.

Les Cinq Céline is the biggest account that has shown consistent love and support. But beyond that, we haven't had a ton of mega-accounts sharing our message. They dig it, but they haven't taken much action.

When we started the campaign, I sent the Redheads a friendly email explaining our mission, but I never got a response. With that, I decided not to pester them. I tested the waters one day when I tagged them in a tweet about the petition, and they retweeted it, so that confirms what you said about them being more supportive on Twitter. But again, I don't want to tag them in just every post. Until a month ago, I had never been on Twitter, so there's a lot I still don't know about how to use it effectively. Sadly, on that platform and on our Facebook, it's been a challenge to get new followers, and I can only devote so much time to chasing people when I have so much else going on behind the scenes. I'd rather the fans do that! And on that note...

We have a new interactive "challenge" rolling out next week calling on the fans to tweet or post a short video of them telling TC why they would like a new release. As per the instructions, we are asking them to tag key accounts that will hopefully bring more attention to our cause.

We are also sending an email to Feeling to test the waters and see if they're even willing to talk to us at this point. Exciting stuff!

(BTW Manu, I love your fashion video!!)

What about targeting some of the youtube channels with a lot of subscribers? Having them share the video with a "new remix" title might get some attention. For example.... FYO PIX has over 20,000 subs and just shared their first video in 2 years 2 days ago. Having them post the say yes video would probably draw a crowd because they post a lot of rare stuff.. Just an idea!

Had they really not shared anything in 2 years? omg

Yep! At least on YouTube. Their Instagram is more active. The vid shared 2 days ago wasn't Celine related...

We definitely are planning to have fans record video messages as part of the campaign. I love your idea, and I can even see it possibly fitting into our original idea. Unfortunately we haven't been able to get a video "guru" to sign on at this point, but we're still trying to make it work. We have a couple of people working on short teasers and fun videos to post to create excitement. Right now, we are focusing on churning out some great content to increase our following.

The way I see it, the greatest hurdle is getting the fans energized and ready to turn their desires into action. I'm remaining hopeful that once we get a little momentum, as Maki_Dion-er said, someone will want to jump onboard the kayak with us and we can have a polished video done by the end of March.

Thanks for your reply. Was this campaign posted on her official FB page? I don't care to go back there just to try and move things. I saw some teasers videos around and I thought to myself, so much talent in it, and then I discovered it's once again Manolo! :) It gets my hopes high lol, yes I wonder where are all the hardcore fans, only when her many hardcore fans will get into the picture, then things will start to move I'm upset to read that because of ego plays many pages don't share it.

Yes, our most important posts are being shared on the official FB group page, either by myself or other fans. Unfortunately that group has 1-2 people who consistently make critical comments about the campaign and think we are being “ungrateful” because we see a problem with the status quo. I try to remind them that we love Céline as much as they do, and they have nothing to lose from supporting us and much to gain if we do (after all, they will probably be among the first to buy a new Céline Dion release!). All in all, the official Céline Dion Fan Page is more interested in trivial posts, which is to be expected on Facebook I guess. We can’t spend all of our time trying to convince people who aren’t willing to see someone else’s perspective.

At this point, with our “video selfie challenge” underway, we know who are supporters are and we are asking them to record a clip of them expressing their desire for “new” goodies for the fans during the pandemic. Then we can edit them into a short clip along with screenshots of supportive comments on our petition page (as well as elsewhere on the internet), and with that, we’ll have pretty much the entire basis for our “final video” — which will be spliced together from all the other videos made thus far and presented to TC & Sony.

Then we’ll just wait and see if we get a response, and go from there!

Guys, maybe we should focus on posting and commenting it in on her official Facebook page, not the private group, because in this way all public will notice it too, and not just the fans in the group (Who are not very supportive there)

One piece of advice for whoever runs the Twitter account for this campaign is to interact with Celine fans beyond just liking and retweeting their posts. Go out of your way to search for who is mentioning Celine in their tweets, and actually engage with them. Twitter is social media, after all. So, be social! Reach out to casual fans and not just us hardcore fans. Doing so is the only way this thing will spread like fire. You have to make people realize there is a campaign going on. If someone doesn't know it's going on, they're not going to go out of their way to search for it on Twitter. Engage! Engage! Engage!

One way to help with this is to use the Min_faves: feature as well. You can filter Tweets by how many likes they've gotten i.e. "Celine Dion min_faves:20" or "Celine Dion min_faves:300"

Thanks for the tips. I didn't exactly set out to be running ALL of the social media platforms, yet here I am doing just that -even though I've never used Twitter before this. I tried finding someone to help, but everyone I asked declined, and it's not the sort of thing you can just post a wanted ad for. Today a listener of the Céline Dion Podcast, after hearing the interview in their latest episode, did reach out about starting a TikTok for us... so that's exciting!!!

TikTok! That's great. And I think if you post tasks that need doing/help here on this thread, people can crowdsource solutions, answers, or volunteer.

Chantemoi,

- If it is true that Feelings Productions has been absorbed, I think maybe we could try to reach Marc Dupre and his team since they are smaller and more responsive. Then maybe they have the forward address.

- Do you think it is worth hitting up the biggest journals in Montreal/Paris/Las Vegas? Maybe Popbuzz, Billboard, Buzzfeed, or other more pop-culture related outlets might be interested in picking this up. Or Attitude Mag or one of the more LGBTQ-friendly ones. Also is Le Journal de Montreal separate from Le Journal de Quebec? Because both could be worth it, if separate.

- Some really big Celine twitter accounts: @NewsCelineDion @celinebible @CelineDionPR @_teamCelineDion @CDionSpain and really basically any one of the accounts that the Celine Dion Podcast is following:

Other accounts of interest? @purecharts (purecharts.fr)

Yea I had read the above post about Feelings Productions being absorbed back in 2014... I was also shocked to read about that too as I have also assumed that Feelings Productions was still going strong as I can recall, Celine was still the owner (both Celine & Rene were owners of Feelings, & I had assumed that @ least Celine was still the owner!)

Hmmm it makes me wonder... in 2014 was the year Rene retired as Celines manager & stayed behubd the scenes, & Aldo-dont-remember-his-last-name-sorry, became Celines manager after that... & we all know Aldo had switched several of Celines band members that year as well... Now it makes me wonder if Aldo had something to do with Feelings Productions closing down (or somebody else did & the year is a coincidence? Hmmm guess we will never know, which is sad to say the norm in Celine World these days lol...

We already follow those accounts, but I hadn't thought of some of those media outlets. I'll add them to our list. We haven't reached out to any of them yet... Though a follower of ours did mention it to the journalist from Journal de Montréal for an article he was writing about Falling Into You, and there is a vague mention in the final sentence of the article when he mentions that there is no DVD for Live in Memphis, but "for a few years, many fans have been asking for its release with online petitions."
