Guys, in general I agree. I'd be the first in line to buy it if they ever release it. You're misinterpreting my point.

I guess your point wasn’t clear enough for me to understand. Aside from the changing way we consume content and the interest level by the general public, I guess the only point you made that I didn’t address was the cost.

So to that end, I’ll say if they’re so concerned about budget for filming concerts, why did they film them in the first place?

Are you sure the concerts were filmed? There are always camera crews at every concert which they use to transmit to the big screen but does that mean that they're recording them professionally for a release? Those cameras at BST for example...those weren't to film it for streaming - they were just there to transit that image to the screens so the 45,000 people in the back could see the show.

Yes, DVD quality footage has been leaked from BST, and other artists have released their own footage from previous years. Likewise, we know 2016-17 were also filmed professionally. Check out the link I provided for Un An Avec Céline above; 2017 (Paris & London) and 2019 (Vegas) had signs posted in the venues as well as fans who witnessed the filming cranes. The only concerts we aren’t sure were “professionally” filmed were the first run of Vegas shows, but we have every reason to believe they still have the “screen camera” footage from these shows, as evidenced by the numerous telecasts over the years.

I have no clue LOL. Only she and her team would have those answers. It's a shame, really, because I'm sure there's some pretty incredible footage out there somewhere.

I will say I don't get it though. They filmed several music videos from the last few albums that never saw the light of day. I was at the final 2 Vegas shows in 2019 and that was clearly being filmed...camera crews were everywhere.

Yep the final 4 shows were all filmed I was there for the 3rd to last show and took video of the cameras and the signs it was known to everyone going in it was being filmed. I have to ask if all she was going to do was shelve the footage why bother. Shania did the same thing with her Now Tour. Filmed two nights in Toronto never saw the light of day. What's even more hilarious is Shania specifically said while on stage it was for a dvd release.

wow, could you share the pictures or footage of the camera crew and how big the production team was? It would be so interesting to see

My guess is that they decided not to release the DVD, because right after the Colosseum show she went on a world tour, and she knew she has a brand new show at Resorts World right after that. Maybe she was afraid to be too omnipresent and thus people might lose interest in seeing her live in proximate future. She would make significantly more money through ticket sells than with a DVD. That's the only explanation that makes sense to me. And the shows were filmed, because you never know. They can be released any time, but as long as they can make tons of money through selling tickets, they stick to it and don't want to jeopardise it. They are so smart.

It's interesting that they released the 2013 une soli fois concert, which mainly focused on the Sans Attendre album, because they knew that this album will not have a very long life. In this way, people can enjoy the SA songs, and be excited about new productions with different songs in future. But if she now only sings her greatest hits, there is not really a point in releasing a DVD with the same setlist (I, however, would buy it anyway! :D )

I think that if Rene was alive, we would get a DVD from every single show with lots of extras.

I don't think that's the reason because they released AND DVD like a year after the show ended, as TCWT was about to start? Then they released TCWT and the movie soon after the tour ended and the second residency was going to start. These releases all include the big hits with different songs filling in the rest of the setlist.

Summer 2016 also had several songs from her then new EUS album.

If they aren't releasing new shows due to similar setlists then that should really inform them of some big issue and an extremely easy fix.....

Mine weren't photos they were recorded via video on my phone but more or less the same as what you see here:

Celine (Las Vegas show) [ends: June 8th, 2019] - Official topic - Page 492 - Celine Dion Discussions - Celine Dion Forum

Also to be noted:

This is from CelineDionForeverNY who was at the shows as well

They had many cameras running around: one on stage that ran around or in front of Celine, two cameras along the left and right sides of the stage that moved automatically, some cameras moving in the aisles, and cameras in the back. No cranes. The cameras were also used for the side displays.

And the photo I took as I went into the show

I definitely think Rene knew the fans wanted it. And he made sure it happened. That's definitely one aspect I really miss after Rene and Aldo (I believe USF was released after Aldo took over....I'd have to go back and review the exact timeline....and the CD/MP3 we got under him for that actually included the entire show). Since then there haven't been any official releases aside from one-off "music video" releases.

Edit to add: did anyone ever officially take over as her manager?? I know there's been some reports and speculation about a handful of people taking over. But if she doesn't have someone specific in charge, that could be part of the problem/reason right there. And if that's the case I fear it's all a lost cause without someone at the helm to continually follow up, etc.

Haven't we been through this a number of times? Yes, Dave Platel and Denis Savage are her co-managers.

I think USF was still under Rene's guide because Rene got sick in the end of 2013 i believe. I think Aldo took over after Celine went on hiatus in summer of 2014 or maybe when she came back in 2015. Edited by ordinary fan

I believe USF was released under René, in May 2014 he was still Céline’s manager.

Yes, I meant to say Amazon Prime

Hey guys I came across this last week I find it i very interesting

https://concertsondvd.com/blogs/news

Yes, there are still many well-established musical groups releasing concerts on DVD/Blu-ray. We argued this months ago when members on our forum were claiming that they are totally obsolete and no one buys them anymore. Clearly there is still a market… you can’t deny that. But the problem seems to be with Céline’s own management thinking that fans don’t want them anymore.

Oh, nothing important! That was my edited comment - I originally posted that concertsondvd.com was a bootleg site (it reminds me so much of an old one and it has many of the classic hallmarks), but then I dug deeper and realized it's actually legit. Didn't want to be disseminating misinformation!

Oh, I get where you were coming from. That site does look suspect. I also had to search Amazon and confirm those were actual releases. :-)

So where is this compaign? I've not heard anything from their social media for a long time.

For the end of Pride Month, our team wanted to share a gift to our fellow LGBT-Queer fans across the world who face adversity and rejection throughout their lives.

We present to you a special 2016/2017 Summer Tour "mashup" of a song that many of us hold so dearly in our hearts - along with a BRAND-NEW original translation of its lyrics from French into English. With "Ziggy", many of us discovered (for the first time!) a message of love and acceptance for those who are different. We also discovered solidarity - knowing that we weren't alone - and that even if our feelings strayed to someone unable or unwilling to accept them, we would always be loved by someone else. Thank you, Céline. Here is the gift we *think* your team would have given us (if only they knew any better).

Happy Pride to all!

How cool and easy it would have been for them to give us a pro shot of her most recent performance of Ziggy . Too bad from now on fan videos will be the only thing we'll ever get unless a miracle happen . Anyway thank you for the video :)

Right?! We’ll all just have to upgrade our phones or bring our own Pro equipment :lmao:

Edit: I just realized this song is 30 years old!!! That’s insane! :-O
