How do we connect a link within the hashtag?

I mean just making a comment like

"It would be great to get a recent concert released #SayYesCeline - youtubeLink"

Oh, alright. I was wondering if you could make the hashtag a hyperlink or something. I'll ry to do this later today.

I posted it on all the videos that had 80+ million views, but I think they detected me as spam again even though I put the Youtube link? Maybe it's just my account lol, or we could divide it up?

Be sure to swap out the link before you copy and paste that above!

The CD Forum shortens the link text.

Maybe if we don't sound like we're posting an ad lol. So like a regular comment we'd leave about wishing for "new" releases and then just leaving the #SayYesCeline

I believe if the SYC videos have the hashtag anyone clicking on the hashtag will be lead to any video that uses that hashtag in the video description

I think that the #SayYesCeline campaign is starting to take effect, since they now unexpectedly released the IACBTMN behind the scenes from 1996 from the archives!

The campaign was a great idea after all! It definitely raised their awareness. We might ultinately get what we want, because they need to keep the fans happy. Lets keep our campaign going and push even more!

This is the pinnacle of our campaign so far. We’ve made some great progress in our first phase, and this video is proof.

awesome! :D

just my two cents: maybe you guys could add footage from the 2016 and 2017 tours when the slogan „don’t let the memories fade“ appear, so that they clearly understand what we fans really want. I would also add a huge Say Yes TO NEW RELEASES.

Maybe we could also use the slogan Celine uses to make fans go to see her shows and say „Don’t let us down“ or „Don’t let your fans down and say yes“

wow Never seen this one before

I find it a little odd she never really included NPPSM in her live shows. It's a very important song in her career, why not at least sing it on the European leg of tours. Or in Switzerland or in Ireland, etc.

I would have expected her to sing it for the Millenium Concert or something.

She often said she didn't liked that song that much 😉

Figures. But she doesn't like MHWGO very much either :giggle:

It reminds her probably of being the "betting horse" lol. Still, it sounds so good with her voice in particular. I wish it was at least included in Millenium Concert or like at least 1 - 2 shows in the 90s, 2000s, 2010s. Just to hear how her voice progressed.

I can totally understand why she doesn‘t want to sing that song. It sounds highly dated. Also, it‘s not easy to sing this one live.

And LCMM doesn't sound dated? I don't think she had to include it in her running setlist, but it's surprising she never put it in at least a few shows. She sang Incognito a handful of times, and it comes from the very same album....and NPPSM actually did better on the charts.

Not to mention, her music team could come up with a way to make it at least somewhat fresher.

Kylie Minogue seemed to have no problem with her "Anti Tour" format. She's still just as big today (if not bigger). I see more about her in music news now than I do Celine. Sometimes, letting real artistry dictate the direction one goes instead of commercialistic hollowness sets the stage for true greatness.

Except Kylie's Anti-Tour never saw an official release, which is the point of this poll. She released Golden Live, but her 2019 Summer Tour didn't get anything, not even her highly acclaimed Glastonbury concert.

By now, Celine probably has more discarded projects than released ones.

It’s easily in my Top 10 all-time favourites from Céline. I would be thrilled to hear it again

I think it would be a real crowd pleaser! I like it, it fits her so well, but I only need an occasional listen.

It's just that I imagine almost every single Eurovision winner goes to their death singing that song and being associated with it. Celine kind of just put it in the closet, despite the historical nature of it. She's one of the most famous winners ever, after all.

Fortunately, she has accomplished far greater things in her career which she will be remembered for (to the point that many people don’t even know she ever had anything to do with Eurovision). Eurovision is really not as prestigious as some may think (quite the opposite actually) and I think Céline knows that, which is why she doesn’t perform the song or even really acknowledge it.

Yeah - I always thought Eurovision was a big joke. Maybe that's just how it's seen in the United States? Will Ferrell's movie Eurovision is hilarious! But most of my friends didn't know it was an actual thing. They thought it was made up for the movie. I can understand why Celine would distance herself from it. Kelly Clarkson distanced herself from the song she was forced to sing for winning American Idol. She rarely ever sings it in concert.

It’s not a joke, no, but perhaps that’s what it’s devolved into, in North America at least.

It was initially conceived as a way for Europe to come together after World War II.

180 million people watched it in 2019. There are reviews and reactions all over Youtube as it goes on now. There was that popular Netflix show about Eurovision; they made it with Will Ferrell.

Never said she has to make it the centerpiee of her career, but like I said she performed Incognito a handful of times and she was much more known for NPPSM if we go by their chart position. Would have been nice to at least have it done a few times throughout the years, especially in Europe where it would be appreciated most.

Not just in North America. I was talking from a European perspective. It’s not surprising that she distanced herself from it.

Incognito is undoubtedly much more personal to her and a more significant era/phase, not just in her career but in her life in general. It marked her transformation from a child star into a grown woman. Moreover, it has special significance in regards to her relationship both with René and with her fans in Québec. The song ‘Incognito’ is representative of that moment. NPPSM on the other hand is basically a song that she was given to sing by a Swiss songwriter, who certainly didn’t write the song with Céline in mind, for an event that she was asked to take part in pretty much out of nowhere. It’s obvious which song she feels a stronger connection to and, given how rarely she performs ‘Incognito’, it’s really not surprising that NPPSM has almost been forgotten.

The song was on the Inognito album, so it's definitely part of that milieu and era. If you recall, until the D'eux album 1980 -1994 she only had 4 French singles that charted in France, and that was one of them. Incognito was not.

It's been forgotten because she chose to forget it. Again, I'm not surprised she didn't do it at her A New Day show. All I'm saying is it has its place and could have been performed a few times---in Dublin, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, at the Millenium Concert, or a number of other times....as a special treat that I have no doubt would have fans singing along.

Many in Europe above a certain age group or who are somewhat knowledgeable fan of Celine would remember the song by ear and that she won. LCMM would have been forgotten too but she has chosen to jolt electric life into it by dragging it through her concerts. And she had a reason for that, but I could definitely see a reason for her doing the song *at least* a few more times.

I've never heard her say she didn't like the song. And we all remember the video of how she cried when she won. It was so emotional that her winning that led to her and Rene to kiss that night. That's how special it was.

I think it was a very strategic decision to not pin her down as "the Eurovision star"...but after that had already been accomplished quickly thereafter, it could have been brought back a few times. It's not like she hasn't sung songs that she didn't have a personal connection with since then, and ones that did worse on the charts than that one did.
