Heard the full track and I like it. I don’t love it but it’s not the worst she’s ever done either. As Darren said, the msg in the song is great. I feel Celine believes every word she is singing and that makes it special in its own way.

The song isn't bad but the bridge is terrible, so unstructured - it kills the momentum of the songs.

 

What's with these vocals?! Nasal with overpowering accent and the worst enunciation ever "Ken you accept anything laayce" "do ma baaayst" - a parody of herself.

 

Feel like I need to listen to classic Celine to cleanse my ears �� I defend Celine when my friends imitate her singing "I got my own imperfecschuns" No way can I let them hear this!

 

If she (her sound engeneers actualy) doesnt use that much the autotune and melodine and all these shits we gonna have that kind of results again and again and again!

They did that in her all latest albums (mostly the english) and sucks!

So havely autotuned that they publish the product with mistakes (check again the first verse of Thankful. You can clearly hear the autotune breaks!

Thats why the live recordings we have from concerts by the audience are better than the official. Full of autotune and compressors. With this the charateristics of a voice gone and you hear a voice like many others with no personality and uniqueness.

 

P.S and in my humble opinion Superwoman is a bad song. Nothing more or new to offer.

 

P.S im sorry if i sound like a hater (which of course im not) but all this autotune and computerise stuff get me crazy.

I love it! I hope it will get some radio play. I think its very catchy, and easy to sing along with. Her pitch or tone is really lovely toward the end. She's showing how strong her voice still is.

 

I love the "I'm only human" part.

Soul is so much better imo. Both have cliché lyrics, but Diane’s lyrics sounds like a 10 year old wrote it

It's not the worst in Celine's entire career, but for me it's the worst she's done in years. The production is so bad, and Celine should have stop try to imitate any singer that she's not and stick to her classic signature voice.

This is a song, that if Celine ever chooses to sing live, I can see it becoming a grower… if she sings it properly and cleans up the Sia mimicking she’s doing… I want to like the song a lot, and it has potential because the worst parts are the vocals and the mixing BOTH can be fixed in a live performance.

The structure of the song is really awkward and sounds sloppy to me. The verses and the bridge are weak, and I think the lyrics are very cheesy. Not to mention the weird accent Celine sings in is unintelligible at times. The chorus sounds nice though and the ending is kinda pretty, I will give it that. 3/10

When you don’t sing your new songs live and promote them ever this is what happens. Songwriters begin giving you the garbage because they don’t want to waste the gems. Celine does it to herself.

It's alright - enjoyable enough but certainly not top-tier, and not breaking any new ground for Céline (or Diane Warren, for that matter). There's the beginnings of interesting production, but it does have that vaguely incomplete feeling to it, like it's waiting for its final polish and refinement. I like the vocal layering on the second "I'm only human" section, but the middle-8 feels particularly weak. And then there are the main issues: pronunciation and vocal "enhancements" that disguise Céline's natural tones. But it's catchy enough - I wouldn't feel the need to turn it off or skip to the next track.

There are some songs on Courage that are just as bad: “How Did You Get Here”, “Look at Us Now” and “I Will Be Stronger”, which are otherwise good songs so it’s a shame. She also does a weird “closed-throat” thing on “For the Lover That I Lost” and “Perfect Goodbye” but that’s different, a different kind of weird. Unexplainable to me, especially given how many times Céline has said that she is a perfectionist and can sing for hours to make it sound perfect.

 

“Look At Us Now” is actually my favorite song on Courage.

Would be tiring if we had any same old big ballads anymore… I don’t think she’s had a single beautiful grand ballad that’s classic Celine since “I surrender” in my opinion! At least not one that every part is there….

4. Proper song with all the aspects of the chorus, verses , bridge, climax and endings

I think Diane gave the most unliked song to Celine. The other songs in this album are so beautiful. But this one. Celine really pulled the album down.

After a few more listens this morning I don’t hate the song it’s just an album filler with a big name with a message that could have been executed much better by Diane for her.

 

I like towards the end when she repeats “not a superman” and how she plays with her voice but I’m not a fan of how the first part of the song kicks into the chorus, but this is Diane’s album not Céline’s and Diane is obviously happy with it and I guess that has to be respected.

 

But, I keep listening to the first few words of the song for those who don’t like it and Celine basically says how it is right there.
