Unfinished Songs is actually a lot better than this song.

 

I fear no one is going to direct her in the future. She's an established star and even though she's so humble and lovely, people seem to just be going along with what she's doing, even if that's not optimal to get the best out of her. I acutally think she would still sing like "herself" if Rene was still alive.

I haven't heard the song yet, but we have been loving and asking for Kara Dioguardi back for 14 years lol. Jeez how time freaking flies.

 

Humberto Gatica wasn't afraid to tell Celine the truth, at least not in the late 1990s.

Listening now....(it's still playing!) but I absolutely love the hard bass and some of the production effects they used! Sounds so unique and different for Celine. The most similar song to this in this aspect would be Incredible.

 

 

Edit: It ended a bit abruptly and got a little repetitive at the end, but I agree that I love the message and I definitely liked it! I would Shazam the song if I heard it somewhere, and it's fun to hear Celine do something from Diane that is not really a ballad. The beginning also reminded me of a Sia song a little bit. Hitting replay now

 

I agree about her pronunciation, but it's not as bad as it could be. And in a way it kind of fits the song, as she is pleading/insisting/crying out to be understood...like "hey, I'm not your superwoman!"

sounds ok to me, apart from that "I'm only human..." part which is weird as hell The bad thing here is that she personally thinks it sounds cool and current, but in reality it sucks and sounds totally weird and scary.

The more snippets I hear of this song, the more I think it was recorded sometime in the past 3-4 years while she was recording songs for Courage and it didn't make the cut. So it's essentially just a leftover song that Dianne Warren was able to use for this album. It definitely doesn't sound like her best written work.

The more I hear it… it’s not terrible and I know not everything can be perfect, but it’s hard for me to believe the same writer behind a masterpiece like “Nothings Broken But My Heart”, can be responsible for this. Damn it I think we need Kara, and David Foster back as producers…the artist isn’t supposed to like the producer until the session is complete.

Yes, I wonder why non of the producers stands up and says:

 

"Celine, we have to do it again. Watch your pronounciation. This song will be forever and you you want it to sound as good as possible"

 

by the way, we know she received the song in 2016, so it's almost 6 years old! This is crazy.

For a singer like Celine Dion this song is an embarassment. I'm sorry, but that's what I feel. If she thought that her pronunciation and the production (especially the backing vocals) are satisfying and the song is good enough for a official world wide release as it is now, then she apparently lost all her ambition as a singer. And as for the producers and mixer, she should never work with these people again. This song could work someway if it was produced more properly and if she would put more effort into singing it. But the way it is now I think that it sounds worse than her demos.
