Yes!!! Wonder how many, if they are part of the movie or just soundtrack.

How many songs did the singer 'performed' in the original movie? Anyone knows?

I think it'll be tracks she recorded but did not use for Courage. But I'll be happy to be wrong :in_love: But I guess we won't know unless someone is asked in an interview when she recorded the music.

I somehow don’t see her appearing for any interviews outside of a small clip she may have recorded in her announcement-video style where she essentially says “Love Again is out May 12th, a new film with Sam Heughan and Priyanka Chopra and myself. Check it out! Ciao!”. More than happy to be proven wrong though!

I don't care if it's songs she recorded during Courage era or more recent. I'm just glad to be getting new music from her.

 

And if they've reworked her classics for a modern/cinematic release I'll be happy too.

I just hope the script & acting is good because the premise is such forgettable rom-com fluff.

Will be good to see & hear her though - even it's all so dated at this point (music potentially recorded as far back as 2017? film shot in early 2021?)

Across all Hollywood studio movies, the average time between the first announcement and eventual release date is 871 days – or two years, four months and nineteen days.

 

So, we can expect this film: Friday, March 17, 2023

 

About right. I forget when the original release date(s) were, but at least the trailer is hours away now :)

We have to make the film and the songs a hit otherwise it's kind of a waste to sit here and be all proud. Same thing happened with Courage.

Let’s not forget that the movie isn’t actually released for 3 more months, so there’s plenty of time for Celine to take part in promo in any capacity she’s able to. Also, this Instagram Live was maybe arranged or scheduled to coincide with the movie’s previous release date of V Day.

 

And lastly- who said she was ‘checked into a medical rehabilitation centre in Colorado’?! Surely she’s just on holiday there? We don’t know the details but it’s unlikely she’s hooked up to medical devices and getting round the clock interventions. She has a syndrome, she’s not palliative.

 

Oh actually, really lastly- i don’t mind when the songs were recorded as long as they’re new and we have new music from Celine! How exciting

They could have been recorded 10 years ago I wouldn't mind. Getting new music is all I'm excited about!

Hopefully there will be at least 2 new songs.

Unpopular opinion: Celine looks frail in the clip, the way she was styled from her hair and her neck showing. Her clip looks a bit out of place too, with Priyanka and Sam all giddy, laughing, and in love in theirs, but in Celine's, she looks somber (with her eyes looking sad) but just with a little smile.

I was sceptical when Claudette said she was in Denver receiving medical treatment, but the man who’s doing her new biography and is in regular contact with her stated she is indeed in Denver to receive specialist treatment. So definitely not on holiday. And while I hardly think she’s palliative or anywhere near it, it’s a valid point to take into account with regards to what she can and can’t do.

They can claim whatever they want anyway. Nobody except us would know the song was recorded before the movie was made.

I think based on this we might be able to assume That’s The Way It Is also features in the movie- unless this is just a clever wordplay on the marketing teams part

The Love Again website says “multiple new songs from Dion”! So :wub:

 

Have a feeling we’ll get to hear at least a snippet in the trailer!

 

And who cares when it was recorded.. if we didn’t have the Internet we wouldn’t’ve even known. Plus we should be glad/relieved it was recorded before she the severe spasms, otherwise we would’ve gotten old stuff again/only.

 

The poster also mentions Céline as an executive producer, cool!
