I just asked about this in the courage tour thread, ironically enough. I believe she will still be present in some capacity. Even if she can’t be there physically, I’m sure she will film some sort of clip for them to show.

I don’t think it’ll be for awhile, but I’m sure we will see a sit down interview with Celine in the future. Even someone like Oprah May head to her Vegas home to conduct it. Knowing Celine, if and hopefully when she gets to a stable point in her condition, I can see her wanting to raise awareness of this disorder, it’s very rare and I know she will want to put the spotlight on it, she already has by simply just announcing the name of it.

An in-depth Oprah interview would be lovely. And comforting. Oprah was so great with Celine over the years... especially in the 90s and that time she went to Celine's house for the launch of the Vegas show in 2003. Katie Couric would be great! She’s such a great interviewer. Knows how to respectfully ask the right questions and I would love to really hear how Celine is doing. I just miss her! Can’t believe it’s going on 3 years in a few months we haven’t seen her sing on stage.

Oprah just plays such a monumental role in Celine's career in the United States.

And I would like to think Oprah and Celine could tap back into that chemistry they had many years ago.

Celine is, after all, the person who appeared on the Oprah show more than any other guest.

But I agree... Oprah has lost a bit off her touch lately, unfortunately. She used to be far more relatable and enjoyable as an interviewer.

Anyways the movie will release in May, and the August shows are still scheduled as before. Maybe she'll get better.

That was the old Oprah on the Oprah show with a different format, these new ones one on one Oprah interviews are all about Oprah!

 

I seen the one with Meghan and Harry and it was exactly as I described in my previous post.

She must’ve felt pretty normal until rehearsals actually began for her new Vegas show because she was so excited a few months before…

 

 

Listening back to that interview again, I was struck by just how excited she gets about live performance. Her biggest joy really comes from being onstage. She’s unique in that compared to her contemporaries / a lot of other performers.

Well, i noticed that the illness started when they’re about to have a new residency show in Las Vegas. I think the pressure of it added to her illness. I mean, it’s like she’s opening a new theater like Caesar’s Palace… AGAIN. That’s a huge pressure and stress

 

Remember A New Day? Everyone was soooooo pressured, stress….

 

+ pandemic.

 

But I don’t really see why she’s coming back so soon. I mean, she’s still on a tour. It would be more understandable for me if she doesn’t have any shows or tours.

She loves what she does, it gives her energy, drive, and purpose. It's not all work for her. That's why when I see online people saying (or even insisting) that she should retire...I think that they clearly do not know this woman.

 

She has said since she was young that she wants to sing her entire life. And she has put in place methods to preserve her voice, so that it can be possible to sing for decades more.
