remykyes Posted August 3, 2022 at 08:41 PM Posted August 3, 2022 at 08:41 PM (edited) So, I've been keeping a RW calendar of when Katy, Carrie, Luke, etc are performing. As of now, the entire month of November is wide open, except the week after Thanksgiving when Luke returns to the theatre. I'm urging caution when it comes to those free dates as Katy returns to the theatre tomorrow and I'm expecting dates to drop for her for the end of the year, either those open November dates or just before New Years (which for her would be perfect as that's when she opened her show). IF, and this is a biggie, those November dates stay open, I think we'll have a very good idea of when Celine could very well return. EDIT: I just looked again. Katy finishes up a run in October. I think November may very well be when Celine may return. My hope is those first two weeks so I can get out there before peak begins at work and we're officially limited on our paid days off until after the first of the year. Quoting myself here to set the record straight...Katy returns TONIGHT. I'd assume we'll get more dates tomorrow for her end of the year wrap up or dates into 2023. That leads me to believe that if any of the reporting we're hearing is correct, we won't hear anything Celine-wise until the middle of the month at the EARLIEST, regardless of whether she's coming back in November, the end of December, or during any of January. Stay tuned. First of all, LCMM and RDMH can go and make room for fresh songs. I would love a Gospel part with Call the man and another classic. I would love a tribute to her 90s hits with the most emotional and beautiful ballads she has, TPOL with a sick rock arrangement like in 99, I want Love doesn’t ask why, Just walk away (it would make people tear up), definitely Think Twice. Bring back this 90s vibe! I would appreciate I don’t know from FIY, this song is a mood! IACBTMN as the long version in a dramatic musical style with sic visual effects, not as a luke warm opener. There is so much potential! Or instead of I Don't Know, how about Je sais pas? I've always adored the original in French. There's just something about it and its English counterpart that give me chills. Edited August 3, 2022 at 08:43 PM by remykyes 1 Quote New Signature Coming Soon!

I still think 3 months is a tad too small to fill shows for fans outside of neighboring states. I know she will sell out with local fans no doubt but still would’ve liked to have known about this before. But I do understand that they’re waiting for Celine to give the ok to go ahead. I suppose we will all know very soon if this was just speculation. 2 Quote I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!Le temps qui compte pour Celine est maintenant!

A segment which makes those songs justice, both musically and visually. I want it to take me back to the 90s. 1 Quote

Shaun Posted August 4, 2022 at 11:05 AM Posted August 4, 2022 at 11:05 AM I'd be very surprised if she returned to Las Vegas this year. Looking back at her previous shows in Vegas: "A New Day..." started in March 2003....was announced in March 2002."Celine" started in March 2011...was announced in February 2010.The re-vamped "Celine" started in August 2015....was announced in March 2015.Resorts World residency was due to start November 2021...was announced in May 2021. So basically, the shortest "notice" Celine has ever given for Las Vegas shows is 5 months back in 2015 when she returned after caring for Rene. I find it very unlikely she'll be in Vegas this year. And given the cancellations and postponements Europe has experienced for the "Courage" tour, fulfilling those shows first should be the priority to be honest. 3 Quote Bringing you the world's only Celine Dion podcast show since 2014.Find us on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Spotify & Amazon Music.

PuraVida Posted August 5, 2022 at 12:38 AM Posted August 5, 2022 at 12:38 AM (edited) I would be more okay with an "expected" or "predictable" setlist, if we at least got some professional recordings of her singing some of her hidden gems, or songs that were more successful that she has not performed in ages. Like if they filmed a one-off unplugged concert, or some extended Tiny Desk / BBC Live Lounge thing where she brought out some B-sides. Personally would love if she sang "Reveal", "One Heart", "Nothing Broken But My Heart", "Goodbye's The Saddest Word", "I Love You", "Miles To Go Before I Sleep", "Halfway to Heaven", "Surprise, Surprise", "Everybody's Talking My Baby Down" Edited August 5, 2022 at 12:49 AM by PuraVida 1 Quote
SuperLove4Celine Posted August 5, 2022 at 03:00 AM Posted August 5, 2022 at 03:00 AM (edited) The typical Vegas setlist has around 18 songs. I view the following as “musts” that need to/should be included so the super casual fans don’t grumble: 1. My Heart Will Go On2. The Power Of Love3. Because You Loved Me4. It’s All Coming Back To Me Now5. Beauty And The Beast6. All By Myself7. That’s The Way It Is8. I’m Alive9. I Drove All Night Then, these are the songs casuals would probably like to hear, but wouldn’t be terribly disappointed if they weren’t performed: 10. Where Does My Heart Beat Now11. A New Day Has Come12. To Love You More13. The Prayer14. Ashes15. If You Asked Me To16. River Deep, Mountain High17. Pour que tu m’aimes encore That leaves only one…just ONE…slot for a deep album cut, or a song from a lesser-known album. Considering she’d be still in “Courage” album mode, I’m guessing the last option would be: 18. Courage If she could just squeeze in two more songs, she could include a couple deep album cuts. Now, I’m not saying this list is what the setlist will (or should) be. I’m just simply proving why making a setlist for Vegas is tough, but also demonstrating why she doesn’t need and shouldn’t resort to including random karaoke-esque covers. We’ll see what happens. PuraVida Posted August 5, 2022 at 04:05 AM Posted August 5, 2022 at 04:05 AM The typical Vegas setlist has around 18 songs. You're leaving out medleys, which historically in her shows are comprised of 2 or 3 songs. In her last residency, it was not uncommon for her to sing anywhere from 20 - 23 total songs if we count medleys. While each song gets less time to shine on its own, that still gives her a chance to throw in some fresh surprises there. Quote
brendanm999 Posted August 5, 2022 at 04:07 AM Posted August 5, 2022 at 04:07 AM This is my current, vanilla setlist prediction. 1. “That’s the Way it is”2. “I’m Alive”3. “The Power of Love”–Wardrobe Change–4. “If You Asked Me To”5. “Pour que tu m’aimes encore”6. Medley: “Beauty and the Beast” (duet with Barnev) / “How Does A Moment Last Forever”7. “Ashes” (after Feb. 2023, replace with It's All Coming Back to Me soundtrack)–Wardrobe Change–8. “Lying Down” (or “Loved Me Back to Life”)9. “Imperfections”10. “Courage”11. “The Prayer” (virtual duet with Andrea Bocelli)12. “All by Myself”–Wardrobe Change–13. “Love Can Move Mountains”14. “I Drove All Night”15. “Taking Chances”16. “A New Day Has Come” (Radio Remix)17. “Because You Loved Me”–Wardrobe Change–18. “My Heart Will Go On”–Wardrobe Change–19. Encore: “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” I hope the actual setlist is a bit less conventional, but RW seems to want their residents to form their setlists based on streaming stats. I would like to see ANDHC radio remix live, as she hasn't performed it in 20 years (with the exception of Seoul in 2008) and it's in her top 20 streamed songs on Spotify. I think Taking Chances also deserves a proper return. I think it worked really well in 2017 with Scott's arrangement. My biggest hope is that they hold true to the "imaginative" part of the show description and maximize the huge proscenium, and use all or most of the LED columns. I'm expecting this show to be the most visually stunning of her career based on what we've seen so far with Katy, Luke, and Carrie.I also noticed that some of the LED elements and props on stage weren't used in the other shows, and since these photos were taken in October 2021, I think it's reasonable to assume that this was part of Celine's setup. Katy was the only one to use the columns so far, and they were placed differently (some on top also.) I also wonder what that rectangular prop is for, and whether it is part of a water effect, since it is placed directly above the main lift. I hope we find out dates really soon. Tomorrow is the 5th!🤞 2 Quote

Most of them include songs that will never see the stage - either because they are too obscure or Céline is vocally unable to perform them live. Prime example : TYLAM. The studio version is a masterpiece. But she will never match that live, especially now. Many of her songs are getting more difficult for her to sing without going half-assed.
