Recently, I saw so many news about celebs (local and international) that are dying because of cancer. What’s happening?

I blame the lack of proper management. Look at JLo. She is even older than Celine, and look at how her career is handeled. There is such a significant difference. The other think is that IMO Celine doesn't really care that much anymore.

She has that song coming out on the JJG tribute album. How much mention will her "team" give it? Any at all? Will it be a passing reference like "Superwoman" was? It will be interesting to see how that happens.

yes of course, their careers differ, but what I mean is the way JLo is maketed and promoted. Even the way their social media channels are handled. When Aldo was in charge, it felt like its 1999 again. I really couldnt believe it, he made her omnipresent again. They even have us live streams from Vegas after her return, and from the summer tours. And after he dissapeared, everything went downhill so fast and the silence began. All of them except for Hustle were commercial and critical flops- as is the new Marry Me soundtrack which she didn’t promote. Celine also has a fashion line- and neither of their lines are particularly successful. My point is that JLo can’t be used as a comparison, as the previous poster mentioned, their careers are totally different, and JLo does the exact same stuff you all moan about Celine doing/not doing… if you have to make critiques and comparisons, consistency is all Im asking for folks lol

The bottom line is that with a really good manager she could be on top of the world if she wanted to. She is too talented and too accomplished to let it all stand still like this.

 

I think it would be a very cool idea if she released a brand new song with a music video randomly just to say „hey guys, I didn‘t forget about you, I‘ll see you very soon“. It could even be an old, previously unreleased song with mixed never before seen footage from the archives. It’s something her team could easily do.

I completely agree with you, specially about the Aldo days. Goodness, it makes absolutely no sense at all that an artist like her doesn’t have the management team that she deserves. Aldo was incredible, I still wonder what really happened there…

It is not my never ending line, it’s rather exactly what she projects to her fans for several years now.

Spoke to someone who works at RW earlier tonight. They said that the November vacancy at the theatre is specifically for Celine, but that they don’t know for sure if she’ll return that soon. So I guess there’s still a little hope for a November premiere.

I think my wish for now is a DVD/Digital version of her recent concert (It can be her 9 years 2nd Residency Show in Las Vegas)

The concerts and touring are all well, but I miss music, releases, footage and stuff for people who don’t have the time or means to travel to see her in concert. When Rene was her manager it was very possible. The 2004 live CD and DVD with exclusive footage from what was going on in her career were a real treat. IDAN recording session, HYEBIN recording session, even Feliz Navidad. It even contained 2 new studio tracks. The 2014 release was a real treat. They made a huge effort with the AND DVD and the tribute to the fans, a day in Celines life etc. Then 3 boys and a new show. It was a great thrill to get that glimpse into her life and career. There's a reason it was called the Celinaissance. It was a rebirth. And really a big part of that was her management and team.

 

By the way, I am happy someone on her team recently fixed her Youtube name. For the longest time her first/last name were smushed together into one on the website.
