It’s different (in my opinion) when she sings her hits or well known recordings that originally were covers than just singing random songs. Like The Power of Love is as much a Celine song as it is a Jennifer Rush song.

 

Remember that cursed John Farnham You’re the Voice that she tried to force feed the world.

 

Because David knows how to make a cover song in her own, look at All by myself

 

Other musicians or producers are leaking some creativity and are only able to play the song as the original

I think that with a proper new arrangement, every song of hers could sound huge live. They just have to go for it. I'm glad they actually started doing this with Scott. His new arrangement for TSMGO was sick! I started loving the song so much more and it became my personal highlight during the 2017 summer tour

DOL was consistently performed? When?

 

TLBSEPT was sung during 2 mini french tours and was added in the Courage Tour... this is not the definition of consistent either.

 

IS was never sung outside Vegas...

 

Beside those facts, if we followed your way of thinking, LCMM would be BOMBASTIC. And there's litterally never been one single person who cared about it.

But folks, it is now AUGUST! We are ONLY 2-3 months away from her supposed "return" to performing, & yet there has been NO UPDATES from Celine or her team whatsoever, NO ANNOUNCEMENTS of tickets on sale or anything! & if they wait until the last second to put tickets out for sale, that will REALLY SUCK for fans who live far away from Las Vegas & will not be able to secure airplane tickets, hotel reservations, time off from work, etc... So those fans (which are a LARGE CHUNK of her fanbase, most of us do not live in or around Las Vegas or in Nevada period!) So if she is coming back, they better hurry up & release the dates & tickets! But since there is still never ending silence from Celine & her team, sadly I feel in my heart & soul that we are dealing with total GOSSIP & LIES about Celine returning anytime soon...

Girl... first of all stop yelling for the love of Christ. You can get your point across without all the caps. Like I said, Deuxmoi is pretty reliable. We know it's the beginning of August. I'm betting on an announcement by the middle of this month. And for the fans that are unable to afford to go to Vegas for the first run of shows, well honestly that sucks for them. I'm lucky to live in California so I can go pretty easily. If the shows start in November, it gives most people time to request time off work, book hotels, etc. I know I can. I don't think it's gossip and lies, I think it'll actually happen, and you'll be eating your words once there's an annoucement made.

Medleys have never been counted as more than one song

 

A medley is comprised of songs. That's why I said that while she may have had 18 "show numbers" or 18 pieces of music in her setlist, the number of songs is higher. Thus, the higher amount of songs she sings (in a medley or sung in full), the more room to please fans she has during her concert -- ideally with non-covers. During 2015, for example, Celine sang 23 songs into her own microphone for nearly 4 months starting on September 8th. Count them. Here's the setlist:

Exactly. This is really what it comes down to. Since she has said she generally loves her B-sides the most, I hope she gives herself the joy of performing them one day. And I am pretty sure fans will eat it up.

I find it really odd to think that the general public wouldn't be pleased to only hear Celine's own songs at her concert, rather than covers. C'mon it's a Celine concert, they have to expect it to be only her songs. If there is a cover it's a surprise for the public.

I would really hate having 40 songs crammed into medleys, just being 'touched' for a minute and a half. I'd rather have Céline do justice to the songs and perform then in FULL! This also goes for TPOL, ABM, BYLM etc.

 

Two cents:

1) Said it before, but because Céline doesn't write her own songs, she's less attached to them, so she'll feel less urge to perform non single tracks. She's probably forgotten half of a new album once a tour begins

2) I get that she 'needs' to perform hits, but why does it always have to be the same ones?! IMO songs like BATB and ABM could be given a rest again. She could even choose to ditch either TPOL or BYLM for a change. She has had more hits, but these are being forgotten as they aren't performed anymore or being played on the radio. She could easily throw songs like NBBMH, WIFIL, Misled, OOR, FIY, Immortality, ANDHC even Miracle into the setlist. In the past concerts were to promote new albums, nowadays it seems to only be about singing the 'hits' cos the public 'demands' it... Her shows always sell out way before the setlist is known.... so I'm sure she could just sing whatever and people will still have a blast!

First of all, LCMM and RDMH can go and make room for fresh songs. I would love a Gospel part with Call the man and another classic. I would love a tribute to her 90s hits with the most emotional and beautiful ballads she has, TPOL with a sick rock arrangement like in 99, I want Love doesn’t ask why, Just walk away (it would make people tear up), definitely Think Twice. Bring back this 90s vibe! I would appreciate I don’t know from FIY, this song is a mood! IACBTMN as the long version in a dramatic musical style with sic visual effects, not as a luke warm opener.
