I hope the anouncement that she will indeed be back to tour in august is right around the corner. If not that is really bad that the post this regardless

I hope so, but La Défense Arena is a commercial company, and they might have heard no update yet and only want to sell tickets...

I’d love to think this is a sign but I have a feeling they know nothing. My guess is they haven’t been told if it’s going ahead or not but are advertising it from time to time like they do any other show. To them it’s going ahead until they are told otherwise.

I know… Rogers Arena in Vancouver was posting about the show right up to its cancellation. So this probably means nothing… it’s more wishful thinking on my part than anything!

I’m right there with you. I would give anything to know she’s doing better and that she wants to (and is able to) go on with the tour. I miss her.

I’m hopeful they know something - it’s too close for them to do this and they didn’t do it before - for the Paris shows. They must have some inside info

I think this could be down to protecting her privacy at this time.

Generally speaking I'd say she has always been very good at cocooning herself away. She controls when she is seen or not. Just the occasional pap shot or shots she has hone looking for mainly in Paris. I suppose going out and about is also more of a challenge for her now, so that may also be a factor.

Well if team Celine or Celine’s management catches wind of this tweet and they know she likely won’t be performing I do hope they’ll announce soon. I really think they’d/ she’d know by now. Rehearsals would need to start soon. And furthermore I think when her condition was announced back in December and they scrapped the first half of the summer shows and rescheduled the rest they must of had some medical perspective on the probability of her being to eventually return. I’d say if the syndrome was on the extreme or severe side the tour would have been scrapped all together.

I think Celine was considered an “open book” in the days before internet and especially social media, but when the technology came that could’ve made her really the “open book” she speaks of she took the step back.

 

I also think for a celebrity like Celine it’s not hard to stay in her bubble because she’s not a party person goin to clubs, she’s not going to restaurant openings, etc she doesn’t live in Hollywood, she doesn’t “hang”, she’s able to keep a very low profile because she’s not the typical celebrity.

 

The paparazzi find her when she wants to be seen which was for those daily fashion shows in Paris a few years back. When they get footage it’s because Celine wants them too.

The shows have been sold out for years... sometimes a few tickets come back but that's it.

True, I sat in a very long queue and missed out on tickets when they went on sale in 2019. I bought mine after the first Covid cancellation and some had been returned.

Madonna’s tour doesn’t start until July and she’s been posting lots of rehearsal reels for a while. If Celine is supposed to start up August 26 in Europe rehearsals should be starting soon. May/June at the latest. I would they need to pull the plug on it very soon if she’s not going ahead …

An announcement won’t come until after the movie comes out. Especially if it’s bad news.

Bad news - they will need to wait to find the right moment to make an announcement and deal with the implications of a potential early retirement or make a pragmatic plan ahead.

 

Good news - they will need to wait to double check things look good before they get our hopes up.

 

Bottom line: they need to wait. And we need to be patient.
