I was just saying… I think before they broke the news on Celine’s condition and gave it a name, she was very much MIA from things on social media that she did even before like the annual Christmas message, birthday posts for her sons, other holiday etc…. I think now that everyone knows what the extent of what Celine has she will be more visible. It was almost like she was hiding at first, I’m hoping we get to see her more often and she updates us!

I noticed a little bit of slurred speech, too. It's probably a result of medication and/or the condition itself. In her English message I picked it up when she says "while we're still learning about" [this rare condition].

 

But it's just so amazing to hear her after such little communication. Maybe we will hear from her again around her birthday. I didn't even think we would get this holiday message.

Her mouth also seems a bit cricket when speaking… I think it’s probably just the meds she’s taking, I’m sure the muscle relaxer is the culprit. However I think she looks great, there’s a rare sighting of her wedding band from Rene in this video…I hope this Christmas is good for her spirits and brings her fighting strength and good health.

Exactly, there is not enough in that video and it is not long enough to read anything into it. Take it at face value as a nice unexpected message from Celine looking happier than she did during her announcement a few weeks ago.

There's not much oddity in that Christmas message. For one she doesn't always gesticulate a lot when speaking (ex: https://www.instagram.com/p/COxjxLrHiqT/), secondly when she does video messages she's almost always sitting down but in this she chose to stand. Why would she stand if she needed help standing when every video in the past she sits? And lastly, when was the last time she sent us a video message for Christmas? In the past years it's always been a family photograph. The fact she did a video now means that she was at least feeling well enough to even think of sending fans a nice message. It's been a whole year of silence for the most part, just take this is a nice surprise and don't look for the negatives. You'll worry yourselves for nothing.

It makes sense if she is having trouble walking, then she might need to hold herself up at times (stability + balance). That sounds like par for the course with her diagnosis.

 

But it's doubtful we will know her prognosis at all; I imagine Team Celine will remain tight-lipped on that front. Maybe she will record some video messages to promo the movie.

Not in any way at all I suspect! I don’t think there would be much appetite for reintroducing covid restrictions in Europe. There might be a spike in cases over the winter but by August it should have run it's course.

Such is the magic of Celine. Singing a song that maybe 100 people in an audience of 14,000 know and she’s able to have the entire audience on the edge of their seat and at the end have them on their feet cheering like crazy people. It’s so funny that when Celine isn’t around, when she isn’t performing or doing her appearances, I find that I acknowledge and appreciate her magic so much more.
