Some people equals being unpleased with ONE thing with being pleased with NOTHING. I don't know where they learned maths... but at the same time, some people call adding a song she sung a few times imagination and change, so...

I will say after seeing the show last night, the set list works perfectly. I spoke to several people who were worried she was going to do a lot of new songs and not the hits.

 

These are mainly people who haven’t seen her live in more than ten years and they came for classic Celine and she gave it to them and they ate it up.

 

The crowd was with her from the moment she took the stage and even through YTV and the medley; they were living their best lives.

Such a beautiful rendition of Happy Xmas! I wonder why she didn't add it at the beginning of December instead of only the last 2 shows.

It's nice to see a change once in a while. Well done Celine!

Well said. Many hardcore fans don't seem to understand that the majority of people buying her tickets want to hear the hits and old Celine classics. But I hope she can add at least a 3rd song from Courage.

Ok but this is what scares me. This thinking of ‘let’s give North America Vegas and save the album for Europe’. Yes I know I’m over thinking here but boy I’ll be one torqued off fan! #futurejealousy lol!

Not sure if that will actually happen, but if it does, I have a pretty good idea where you will be going for your next vacation! :P

I think next year we will see a release of greatest hits again coincide with the new movie premiere. And then she will be on hiatus for 2 years before releasing new album. I just wish she will have a musical album or another big movie with good score and soundtrack

 

Selfishly I seriously hope she won’t have any more hiatuses. Ever.

 

It’s bad enough when she takes a two month break like she did this summer.

 

She can just keep going on and on and on...

Now she doesn’t “have to” make children anymore or take care of a sick husband so...

I've attended Laura Pausini's shows every year with a new album, but people seem to enjoy more the hits. Everytime she sings a new song, at the end of each one there is like a couple seconds of silence before the audience start clapping, like if everybody were saying "we have to clap because we have to..." (same happens with Imperfections) And we know Laura Pausini is also a very talented singer and composer...

 

Now imagine a setlist full of Courage songs, people will be completely bored since they don't know the songs...

She's become so attractive to me...is that a weird thing to say?

 

Seriously, she's never looked so good. I mean she's always been beautiful and elegant but now she has a little something extra. Although those are not so little lol.

 

It's like she re-entered her prime years in a way. Vocally her voice is different than what it was from her 20's to mid/late 40's but it has a richness to it that I really love and that she didn't have before imo, and physically, well, just look at her. She's become a fashion icon at 50, her album was #1 (let's ignore the drop for a second) and has made some best album of the year lists, her tours sell out, she's searched out to be the face of brands, she's talked about a lot by the media, and she recently had a movie soundtrack hit.

 

Does she even need to hire a bodyguard anymore?! Wow.

Well, she used to sing it in Vegas 1, not a real surprise, I expected it.

Nothing particular to note with that performance. I find it bland. Yes, she sings it well - but after 40 years I think it's already been established that she's a good singer. So this one add nothing for me.

So what you all mean is that if she sang 5 songs from Courage and 15 hits, the public will be very disappointed and say 'what an awful show, she sang only 15 hits!'.

I don't remember her singing Blue Christmas during concerts. When did she?

But I'm sure we will have The Christmas Song for 2020 Xmas. ;)

 

Wintersong would have been fresh and bold, and it's a new recording. But the main public doesn't know it (nor Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson) so God forbid.

the terrible medley is not classic Celine. Neither You’re The Voice.

Em... That wasn't an attack, it was a plain genuine question. Whilst she sang Happy Xmas in Vegas in december 2004. Adding to my ongoing statement about Celine only performing already sung songs in her sets.

 

I predicted she'd sing Happy Xmas or The Christmas Song. Am I psychic? Way more intelligent than everyone one else? Or is it just a logical bet for someone knowing about Celine's career choices?

 

I'm sure the 'general audience' liked it. But 'die hard fans', even if they like it which they have every right to, and I don't blame them for that, can't say it's an unsung song; they can't say finishing a setlist with an acoustic laid back track is new, as some said here, since she does it for two years now.

 

But sorry for disturbing you from your ivory tower.
