Unfortunately, 90% of the people there are not super fans and don't know the new songs. Most of them want to hear the hits. At our show, the intensity of applause from the audience was very different after she did one of her hits versus a song from the new album. I think doing four new songs would take away from the momentum of the show for most people, due to the unfamiliarity. She's usually limited it to a couple of new songs, even with her Vegas show.

I don't know numbers but I can tell you that everyone in my vicinity last night was singing along with Imperfections and were so.excited when she started singing Courage. It felt like a large part of the audience actually. They also all loved TLBSEPT even though most don't know the lyrics, it had way more fan engagement in the US than I've seen with PQTME.

 

I have no doubt people would absolutely love to hear a few more of her new songs.

 

I'll be so sad and disappointed (and kind of angry tbh) if she adds more until she's in Europe.

 

In general people are loving the show.

I also like the little speech she makes about her new album before she sings Courage.

 

Before she sings Imperfections would be a great time to elaborate a little more about how proud she is of the album, all the great songwriters, etc.

Thanks for the vids! Didn’t like IYAMT- it’s too slow and she sounded flat and a bit lack lustre. And the big transition after the long note was awful.

 

Courage is amazing. And I like how she does Imperfections

As a huge Celine fan of 27 years, I also attended the show in Albany last night. My 5 time seeing Celine! The show ran about an hour late but the dance cam did an awesome job of keeping the fans entertained! lol. The show was nothing short of AMAZING! I liked it better than the Vegas shows. Just my opinion. Celine was gorgeous and the show was put together perfect with all it's new effects. I took many vids and pics from row 15 and that seat was perfect for getting the whole stage show. Soon as my best friend and I was headed back home I was missing Celine so much! Hope to see her again.

The second screen that hides the band during IACBTMN and that rises up and down is also not used for the Albany concert. Is it because the arena is small or the height clearance isn't enough? It definitely looks to be a smaller arena.

Probably both, the arena is small and not very tall either, id expect this for a few of the smaller arenas as well as possibly for the stadium shows and the festivals that the big screen will not be present

I think she can sing covers if the covers are from her previous albums like If you asked me to. It could be great if she or her team let "ur the voice", "imagine", and the "cover medley" out of the setlist and add the songs from new album or other covers from old album into the setlist. Then she can at least get the acceptable balance between the hardcore fans and the normal people.

It’s ok to sing covers if she recorded it/included from the album.. like IYAMT, TPOL, TC, IACBTMN, etc.

 

Unlike Kiss, Purple Rain, imagine, etc. that she didn’t record for an album should be out

Did anyone happen to record all of the audio from the Buffalo show? Would love to obtain a full audio recording of it as a keepsake. Otherwise I may try to piece one together from the YouTube videos. Celine's vocals were outstanding!

I honestly don't care for that medley of songs she does. probably better to replace it with a medley of her lesser known hits. I do however LOVE the image ending, it is extremely emotional and works.

The Albany show was great, the crowd was really into it too. I was in the section in the middle of the floor and a lot of people were standing for a good portion of the show. She really wowed them in Albany from beginning to end, I don't think there were any lulls or dips. Like many of us, I wanted to hear more songs from Courage and there were some places that she could've replaced new songs for what was there but the crowd enjoyed it all and they responded well to "Courage" & "Imperfections". In Bufalo she added "Flying On My Own" to the medley but skipped it, so I was disappointed. The medley was really well received. As hard core fans, we want the obscure and new but for most of the crowd going they want what they know so I think that's why the set list is what it is.

 

I had a great time, totally enjoyed it. The one-two punch of "To Love You More" & "Courage" was really emotional. I prefer the intro to MHWGO in Vegas to this one. I like the quite humming of Celine, it's more haunting and brings you right into the emotion of the song. I loved the lighted drones though, that was really cool, especially the last one near her hand.

 

"Imagine" was a good ending song, it's hopeful and people know it, so they go home with a good feeling. I think "I can't Help Falling In Love" was the same but plays better to the smaller venue in Vegas. I took some pics and video but I think what has been posted is much better - thanks for all of those.

 

I'll have 2 more shows next year to compare it to, so we'll see if much changes.
