no way to add a comment to that article it seems. first of all, the wardrobe changes work because she is just as glamorous if not more than most of the artists she mentioned. Also, regarding stage presence, she is the one that actually has the most stage presence alongside cher, diana and madonna. stage presence isnt about being bitchy which this reviewer seems to think is the case. it is about that aura when you are on the stage that people believe they are in the presence of a deity, and she has that in abundance.

Yes, after an hour of singing love, non-stop, even Celine Dion needs a sip of water. But instead of just taking a sip of water, she had to be dramatic about it and ask the audience if we would mind if she took a sip of water.

 

B*tch! Go get your water!

 

But isn’t that the most Celine Dion gesture? She turned the simple act of hydration into a performance, literally made “thirst” a moment. And the thing about her is that even though it was over-the-top and entirely unnecessary, somehow she makes you believe that she really needed your approval before she sipped the f-cking water!

I'm really happy Céline included Happy Xmas in the show, but that only shows how easy it'd be to include new songs as well, she had time to rehearse that song, but when it comes to new material....

I thought we would get same old boring 'chestnuts roasting on a open fire'

 

The ending though sooo beautiful

This also shows how super easy it is to add a different acoustic song of whatever she wants to sing for each show.

And the audience loves it.

Well, she used to sing it in Vegas 1, not a real surprise, I expected it.

Nothing particular to note with that performance. I find it bland. Yes, she sings it well - but after 40 years I think it's already been established that she's a good singer. So this one add nothing for me.
