Thats such a shame. Not just because the ticket prices are so astronomical. An opening act helps keep the audience interested. If Celine isnt going to go on until 8:15-8:20, they may as well have an opening act and have her go on at 8:30-8:45.

 

I’d rather they have the DJ like they have now and have her go on at 8:15 instead of a Gordy Brown-type like they had for TCWT and have her go on later. Unless the opening act is good, it’s a waste.

When I went to hear Justin Timberlake live some years ago, he didn't have an opening act but a deejay. The deejay had nothing to do with Justin's music but it was a nice lively opener. I think Celine should do that. I wish there would be a live stream but it sounds like the rest of you lucky sighted people can find one but the dumb blind person over here in California can't. about ready to call it a night and go back to listening to the TV cuz it never leaves me and is always there for me no matter what.

That’s surprising since you mentioned earlier that you hadn’t decided if the show was worthy of your ticket purchase. I’m shocked that she wouldn’t change the show for you so that you would go.

I've seen lots of complaints about her being 45min late. If she's not going to be on until 8:15, that should be made clear. It isn't. Tickets say 7:30. People assume she's just being a diva.

 

The DJ is not an opening act. It's just white noise, like any house-filling music. Now, if he were actually on stage, or if they had some visuals or something to go along with the music, if it were clear her coming on stage at 8:15 is intentional - well that would be a different story.

As it is now, it's not an "act". It's just a filler for her perceived lateness.

It’s because people filling in are being “divas”. I was in Cleveland the other night and people were still piling in at 8:15pm. They want her to wait for people to take their damn seats lol.

“Not a good look?” Oh God, calm down. When I went to the shows in Québec, no one was upset or annoyed and the lines for merch, food, and drink were long. No one seemed to be in a rush.

 

No one is assuming she’s being a diva.

I've seen some venues - I think it was Ottawa and Cleveland - tweet set times, and say "7:30 - DJ, 8:10 - Celine". So some people may have seen that, and arrived accordingly.

But come on, how may people follow their local arena on social media?

Most just assume she's very late. At the shows I went to, everyone around me was pretty pissed about waiting for 45 min, especially since many were already in their seats well before 7:30.

I only read today at UKMIX forum that the tour is supposed to last for approximately 2 years! If this is the case, then Celine will definitely be visiting more places and up-dating the current set-list. I am sure that once the album is released more songs from Courage will be incorporated to her shows.

 

I pretty much agree with those who think that the current set-list is not that great, but I think focusing too much on that is a narrow-minded approach.

 

Kind of feeling excited that I am seeing her in September 2020! I am expecting a good balance of old original songs and new songs from Courage like she did with TC.

Well, at the shows I went to - as well as on social media for the shows after - many were upset and said she was very late. I'm merely quoting what I heard and read.

So no, it's not a good look.

Can the person in charge of the prompter just put there "Remind us where you are" just like what she does in A Mother's Prayer (Solo version)

Random question: has anyone noticed in the live feeds that she doesn't seem to be using the side stages/platforms that often? I know it's hard to see everything from a live feed but she seems to stay more on the main stage and work that than she does the side stages. Kinda makes me want to upgrade my tickets.
